Absolute rubbish

Buses never turn up, don't bother looking at a timetable because they never stick to it. How anyone ever gets to work on time I'll never know. Absolutely disgraceful

I was at Market Street East Q3 bus…

I was at Market Street East Q3 bus stop, at the stop was the No.57 with other busses behind, as I stood there the Q3 came past the stop on the outside of the 57 made no attempt to stop or see if anyone was at the stop, so had to walk. Went onto Live Chat, OH it was my fault for not making myself visable to the driver, I explained I would have had to stand in the middle of the road to do that, response I need to hail the bus for it to stop, How on earth do you do that when it drove past the other side of a parked bus and did not stop. Yes I was at the Q3 stop and I have a photo of the stop and the 57 parked there.

Traumatic and humiliating experience

Today, being the 23/06/24, I and family were at Park lane interchange for a bus scheduled for 14:36, ready to get on a bus. The payment machine wasn’t working at all. We tried to pay with another device and the driver said he wouldn’t give us another chance. My neighbour who was present also wanted to pay for us but he refused. He kept on insisting that we give him cash. Whilst yelling, he sent my self and my entire family off the bus, humiliating us and removing a sense of worth from us all. He gave me the finger. He completely embarrassed ALL OF US. For the other passengers, the payment machine didn’t work as well but he let them all in except us. The driver found it amusing as he was laughing throughout the whole thing. Someone else offered to pay on our behalf bus he insisted that he would not be letting us (my family in particular) use the bus. What happened today was horrifying and traumatic to the kids and I won’t wish it on anyone especially if you’re just trying to enjoy your day. I felt hated and helpless. Customer service is very poor 0/10 from the drivers

Get there act together buses always…

Get there act together buses always being missed.at Heworth bus station 2 no 4 buses did not turn up this morning and to add insult to injury the one that I eventually caught..past another no 4 beside the the drive bus stop..how can this happen when that said bus did not go via the bus station..I also would like to add the bus driver s on the no 4 and the no 56 are always helpful and positive

Awful, awful, awful.

Bus drivers are awful and customer service have such an attitude, they were vile. Never thought I would ever say this but they are now worse than Arriva.

Go North East X72 the worst bus in the north East

I just moved to Stanley Anfield plains. This is the worse experience I’ve ever had with buses. This company is an absolute joke. I hear people complain at work but the X72 is the most unreliable bus I’ve ever come across. First of all it takes an hour for it to come on the time table but rather comes every 2 hours. It happened to me whiles goi g to work and happened yesterday from Gateshead and had to get taxi with these two journeys. Why should I pay for a weekly bus pass and still board a taxi. I am so pissed off. Go North East is a rip off Period.

Disappearing 306

Trying to use buses more often and reduce car, I’ve tried 3 times to get the 306 and every time the bus has not turned up. Yesterday 16:02 from Linskill didn’t show and today Haymarket at 17:25 just disappeared while I was watching the screen - wouldn’t be as bad if there was some sort of explanation - experiment over buses are useless

I can't pick zero stars

I can't pick zero stars. Shame as its a zero performance. Used the 74 3 times recently. Late by over 30 mins Late another time and just now too early meaning I got to my stop on time to find bus already been 5 mins prior.
Useless. Unreliable.

So haven't used a bus in a very long…

So haven't used a bus in a very long time and thought I'd try and support our local service and get a bus from Stamfordham (out in the sticks) to the toon instead of driving in or getting a metro and have to say quite enjoyed the ride in.
Unfortunately, not the same for the return trip at 8.35pm when the bus was due. I got to eldon Square 15 mins before the return trip. Met a fellow Stamfordham resident. Checked the schedule and yes after the Kingston Park bus the hexham bus was due (X74) so all looked good. Having spoke to fellow Stamfordham resident for a few moments suddenly hexham bus #74 was removed from screen! No explanation, no one to ask therefore no ones problem except for those trying to get a ride on the bus whether it was going home or not!
Utterly disgraceful service! No one to ask for an explanation just cancelled so therefore f***off to anyone who wants to use it!
Well thank-you for the introduction back into public service. Having not used it for 20 years cos it was shocking back then I can see service has not changed and it is still equally as shocking today! Personally give it up. If you can't offer a service for anyone that has paid for any journey then just stop trying and close it down... no wonder people want to use their own cars so therefore don't penalise us for the fact public transport is a total shocking service!!!
So in the end my journey home which should have got me back by 9.20pm ended up being 11pm due to the fact after being let down by go northeast also UBER let me down cos the driver could be bothered to turn up either! But that's another story!!!!
So to summarise public transport should just close down as after 20 years its still as screwed up now as it was back then!!!

bus driver refused to let me on with a…

bus driver refused to let me on with a pop card because his machine wasn’t working - he claimed that i knew pop cards aren’t working despite the fact that i didn’t and my pop card works on every other Q3. he was rude and when i told him i had no money (i’m also 16) he said i couldn’t get on the bus even though i had a pop card with money on.

The worst service

Never on time, don't turn up, rip off prices drivers are miserable because they get min wage and drive buses. the buses are in filthy majority of the time. If you want the most unreliable crap bus service use go north east. Imagine charging people for this apparent service

Truly Awful

This bus company is truly awful and quite incapable of running a consistently reliable & on-time service. Whilst the date of experience for this review can only be one day, this refers to years of frustration. Key problems, with a focus on the 6, X71 & X72 "serving" Burnopfield.

1. High % of breakdowns resulting in cancellations and interrupted journeys. I've experienced a double breakdown and a 30 minute journey to Newcastle, ended up taking 2 hours.
2. Old stock. Last week I 'enjoyed' a commute home on the X71 and probably need to get my fillings checked as it was a bone shaker of a ride. The bus was very very old (not quite Beamish old) and barely seemed to make it up some of the hills.
3. Lateness - particularly for some of the early morning buses. This baffles me, because there's not enough rush hour traffic to cause 10-20 minute delays between 0600-0700. Have to speculate that there's staffing problems with them arriving late to work, or leaving the originating station late. This then causes connecting buses to be missed for my daughter attending college.

We're just one family experiencing this poor service, imagine the number of people across the region and the impact to them. Yet, little evidence of improvement. Sadly, people also have no choice, as they are the single bus company for large areas of the region.

Garbage service

Waited for the number 8 bus service to Stanley today at 15 22 , did not turn up went home came back for the 16 22 serice and that heap of junk did not turn up either
