Our beautiful island wedding on Ærøskøbing was absolutely fantastic, thanks to the help of Getting married in Denmark, they helped us so much with our application and made all the necessary arrangements for us, we really couldn't have done it without them, we literally just had to arrange our trip and get there on time.

We asked the Getting Married in Denmark team to assist us with registering our marriage back in April (aiming to get married in August), and, while it took us a while to get the application right - the agency holds all documents up to a very high standard even before they get to the government - it went smoothly, and we've gotten an approval the first time agency applied papers on our behalf. They got back promptly every time we communicated, helped us on every step of our marriage journey, explained everything clearly.

On a realistic note, we've learned that the "paperwork-free" process for Denmark and the AFL requirements are still pretty strict. We had to spend quite a few weeks ensuring all our photos were perfect, using different phone cameras, adjusting the settings, taking the photos outdoors, etc. It was quite a tedious process, but Maria from the Documents team was extremely patient and supportive. With her help, we were able to get all the necessary approvals in what seemed like a blink of the eye. Camila from the Wedding team was also extremely helpful and kind, they have some wonderful service providers in their network if you're looking for professional photographers and hair/makeup experts.

For anyone considering getting married in Denmark (and GMID), you'll have to be patient with the documents process. Non-EU passports, for eg (like mine) need EVERY SINGLE PAGE photographed in perfect quality. You might have some weeks of back and forth, but rest assured, the Getting Married in Denmark team are 100% on your side and have your back.
