I am sorry if you felt the price of your journey was high.

After reviewing your account, I can see that your last ride was in September 2025. To clarify the costs, a High Demand fee of £2.00 was applied to that journey.

We aim for maximum transparency in our pricing, which is why it is always shown in the fare estimate during the booking process. We include a "we're busy" notification and a red lightning bolt symbol specifically to ensure the total is clear before you confirm your ride.

I also noticed that a tip was left for the driver, which I am sure they very much appreciated.

If you have any issues during or after a ride, our UK-based Customer Experience team is available 24/7 to assist. They are available in the app's chat function.

Once again, thank you for your feedback. I will be sure to pass it on to the development team, which is constantly looking for ways to improve our users' experience.

Unexpected higher demand fee

I really want to support black cabs as and when I can and recently received a promo for the app. Given it was Christmas Day and I have a 9 month old baby I felt it could be a good mode of transport. Upon placing a booking there was no indication when requesting a ride for a surge charge due to demand and once the journey was completed a breakdown of the costs indicated a higher demand fee. Had I known when placing the booking I would’ve thought twice as a £15 increase in fare charge is incredibly frustrating. I don’t feel confident in using the app going forward as it doesn’t lay out clearly the breakdown of fare costs to consumers.

At the time of booking, we provide several visual cues on the fare estimate screen to ensure customers are aware of the total cost before confirming:

"We're busy" Indicator: The screen displays a message stating "we're busy" and explicitly shows the surge amount.

Red Lightning Bolt: We also include a red lightning bolt symbol (⚡) as an additional visual highlight that high-demand pricing is in effect.

These fees are essential during peak periods—like Christmas Day—to incentivise drivers to be on the road and ensure we can reliably secure a vehicle for our customers.

Due to the anonymous nature of Trustpilot, I am currently unable to locate your account or view your ride profile. However, if you would be happy to respond to our request for information with your account details, I would be more than happy to investigate this ride further for you.

The service was punctual did not wait long for taxi to arrive a good service. Just did not know it would be that amount it was a little too expensive.
