Their customer service is truly so bad. I think I got spoiled with Burst's customer service before I switched.
When you're buying a subscription product, good customer service is everything. They messed up my order twice and want *me* to pay for their mistake.
all hell broke loose in my mouth
i was excited to get a quip before i went to college to replace the clunky electric toothbrush I had. I used it for three years before i realized that it had a strong correlation with a sharp decrease in my oral health. i started getting a bunch of cavities (the way i used to when I had baby teeth) and overall i just felt that all hell broke loose in my mouth. Quip is a cool company, and has an amazing marketing team. the brush stood the test of time, and the deliveries showed up like clockwork. I just don’t think they really have a product built for everyday use. It really took a toll on my teeth. I switched back to a real electric toothbrush this semester and already feel like my teeth are so much cleaner. A cheap oral B one was only a little more expensive and holds a charge for like a week before you need to put it on the charger for like 45 minutes. That’s a clear win for me. and if you’re just competing for aesthetics over oral health? idk.

There are two things that we appreciated with our quip order. First was how quickly the product arrived after our order, and second, one of the two brushes we ordered was very hard to turn on. We called, and a new working brush arrived quickly. We both are using...and love the brush
Customer service tanks mid range product
The brush is fine and travels well. However the price is not worth the hassle. You can pay $10 per replacement head at the store, or subscribe to a plan where; the refills won’t arrive on time, the shipping number isn’t accurate and won’t actually let you track it, customer service will tell you it’s out of their hands once it ships and keep changing the date you should contact them again if the issue isn’t resolved, they can’t adjust your subscription plan ship date to better suit your needs. They take no responsibility for customer service issues and for me that is unacceptable for a company. It’s a low end electric toothbrush and way pricier than a regular toothbrush, customer service and affordability is where they need to stake their claim and they actively push it off saying nothing is their fault. Not worth the money.

My dental hygienist recommended I get an electronic toothbrush and after reviewing all my options I bought a Quip. Best purchase in dental care ever! I love the ecofriendlyness of Quip and after a couple of months use I can honestly say I'm 110% satisfied with how it cleans and feels.
Not worth the trouble

cons:
- Shipping: the tracking numbers they send never work, so I don’t know if they’re even real. They say you’ll get it working 10-14 days from the shipping date, but more like a month
-Accuracy: They’ve gotten two of my refill orders wrong. All I orders was a toothbrush refill too
- Customer service: They claim to offer live chat support, but in reality, you’ll submit a complaint and your email through live chat and they’ll reach out via email 1-3 days later
- Cancelation: This company will hold you hostage. Im currently struggling to cancel my plan before my April refill. They won’t let me. It’s currently January 31st and I have yet to even receive my January refill.
I hate this company
I hate this company. I want to cancel a subscription on their website. The next refill date is 1/27/22. When I try to cancel, the edit won't be applied until 1/28/22 (I'm writing this on 1/13/22). I tried contacting customer service. To their credit, I received a response within an hour. The rep said that I can't cancel an order that hasn't been created yet...which doesn't make sense, since they have an option to cancel the subscription...whatever. She said I'd have to wait until I get the refill email on 1/27/22 and then I'd have to reply to that email to cancel it or I'd have to turn in a help ticket. WTH? So I can't cancel an order until I get an email and I can't cancel a subscription until a day AFTER my next order is supposed to go out. These people are looney.

My husband and I were quip users for over two years. In the last quarter of 2021 we experienced three shipping mishaps and order mistakes. The final toothbrush head we received kept slipping off the body of the toothbrush handle. We called it quits January ‘22. .
Customer for 4 years - DON'T BOTHER
Don't bother. I've had a quip subscription since 2018 (almost 4 years) and i am OVER IT. Their customer service isn't helpful and the subscription refills NEVER come in in time. They take about a month to actually get to your door. This last refill didn't even make it to my house.
The toothbrush sucks too. Do yourself a favor and buy an actual nice electric toothbrush or keep buying the $5 disposable ones from the store. Quip doesn't work like it's supposed to and the brush doesn't really feel like it's doing anything.
Idk why it took me so long but I'm finally switching. I hate this toothbrush. DO NOT BUY.
Product and Customer Service sucks
Terrible customer service, product is poorly designed and they blame you and refuse to honor warranty replacement when you inevitably break the backing because it's impossible to pull off the brush head "in an arc motion" as per their little gif they send about replacement. Here's an idea, why don't you design a better product if everyone has the same issue?
Don’t Bother
Garbage. It’s been over a year since I started using it and every battery they send is dead. And I’ve had to have the motor of the thing replaced once already. A q-tip would be more effective honestly. Tried to get a refund the first time it malfunctioned and kept turning on in the middle of the night and was told no which is when they sent me another. Tried two of their batteries this week which were both worthless. Buy an Oral-B. You’ll hate yourself less.
Update: I asked my fiancé to rent a steamroller for Christmas just to run over the Quip. He said it was a waste of money. Not sure which piece of equipment he’s talking about.

Well at least it looks pretty... Not a particularly good product. Aside from good design, the quip doesn't really do a very good job of getting your teeth clean. After using a Sonicare for years, i switched to quip. Honestly, my teeth never felt particularly clean using quip. Discussing this with my dentist, he showed me a glass of water showing the vibrations of the quip vs a Sonicare. The quip barely caused the water in the glass to vibrate while the Sonicare caused massive vibrations. "The vibrations take place mainly in the handle" is what my dentist told me. I went to Target and purchased a new Sonicare brush and haven't looked back since.

Poor experience, poor product, poor service.
Quip doesn't provide a good experience or a good product. My first quip was faulty, I asked for a refund and they made me get a replacement. I earned enough points for free refills, and it turns out you can only claim one a year, which makes it fairly worthless.
That and it's incredibly environmentally unfriendly, forcing you to throw away batteries every few months.
And the smart features are barely worth it, they feel inaccurate, are incredibly vague, and aren't informative at all.
Avoid, just go with the normal range of smart toothbrushes, they're much much better. I've ditched quip.
Feel trapped
I have been using quip for about 3 years and wanted to move on. Simple. Everyone does that.
Try removing your account from Quip.com. Its impossible. You have to raise a ticket.

I got no confirmation message (on the website) or email that my refill subscription was cancelled. I couldn't remove my credit card details.
Customer service was rude and bad.
Disappointment
Loved the design and ability to travel with this toothbrush but it's been a huge disappointment. It stopped working after less than a year. I try to put new batteries but that doesn't help. So I'm now left with a very expensive but regular toothbrush. Will buy a decent electric one that can actually be charged now.

2. Stops every 30 seconds to let me know it’s been 30 seconds
3. Teeth NEVER feel clean even after brushing strenuously for 2 minutes straight 3 times a day
4. It’s an overall piece of crap.
