Had Solar Panels installed at my property a couple of months ago. I'm very happy with the service and with the installation team that came. The system is working well and I will be looking to get more panels and battery storage later down the line. The experience was good from start to finish with very helpful and knowledgeable sales staff too. Cant really fault them.

Don't touch them with a barge pole. I had a battery installed last year, it has never worked as it should. I was never given any instruction in setting the software. It makes its own mind up. I rang every day for a month to get them to sort it out, they were only interested in ripping people off by fitting and running.

Does anyone know if FloEnergy has gone out of business, I have been calling the company several times a day since 21 April 2023 and sending them emails but no one is answering the telephones or responding to emails. Because of this, I cannot get anyone to come and rectify a problem to my solar panel installation that was completed on the 1st March 2023.

Let me be clear, I had been calling and sending emails to FloEnergy for several days as there was an issue with the installation the needed to be rectified. I received no response to my calls or emails. This is what prompted my question asking if the company had gone out of business.

I normally prefer to deal with companies in private, but as FloEnergy was not responding to my messages, I wanted to find out if it was still in business, hence, my message on Trust Pilot.

It was a few days after posting my message on Trust Pilot did I get a response to my message. The one star rating related to FloEnergy's lack of response to my messages. It was only after I posted the message on Trust Pilot that I received a response. At the time, I had no idea that FloEnergy was having technical issues with its telephone system. Since I did not receive a response to my emails either, I asked if the company was still in business.

The one star rating was due to the fact that FloEnergy did not respond to my requests for help. Only after posting my message on Trust Pilot did I get a response, and yes, I was then told that FloEnergy had a problem with its telephone system. That did not explain why FloEnergy did not respond to my email requests for help.

On the email front, shortly after the installation had been completed, I sent an email to the FloEnergy MD informing him that the installation was unsafe as the installation guide requires the batteries to be earthed, this has not been done. The email was sent on 9th March, I am still waiting for a response.

So my one star rating was for the lack of response from FloEnergy, not about the rest of the installation work. If FloEnergy had put a message on its website saying that it was having technical problems with its phones, I would have waited until it had been fixed and would not have put anything on Trust Pilot.

My elderly aunt was cold called earlier this month as per the previous reviews. She agreed for their representative to inspect and within a few days Nick Romanov (not the Russian Tsar) arrived in an Abacus hire van, informed her that the inverter needed replacing at a charge of £2000 and asked for a deposit of £700 which she paid on his credit card machine. Later the same day men arrived in an Abacus van and replaced the inverter. My aunt asked what happened next and would she receive an invoice to which she was told ‘I suppose so’. The very same evening at 8pm, so it was dark, the doorbell rang and I am sad to say my aunt answered the door to find Nick Romanov there who asked for the balance of payment! When my aunt said she hadn’t received the invoice yet, NR replied ‘but you’ve had the work done’. My aunt is in her late 80s and felt intimidated so paid the balance on the credit card machine. She phoned FloEnergy the following morning to complain but of course has had no follow up although they emailed a receipt which can hardly be described as official looking. Although there appears to be a ‘new inverter’ I can’t help but feel she has been scammed. Who calls at 8pm on the same day of installation demanding the balance of payment.

They cold called me to offer to do a system check. Salesman arrives, not an engineer & emphasises that my inverter would not be lasting much longer and it should be replaced. He offered a price followed by the best absolute price. I foolishly accepted the offer before researching correct costings. He then sold me 3 batteries at the best price possible! Installers arrived promptly to install the system, but their placement of equipment was untidy and also left the property with both the high voltage isolator switches not screwed up. Documentation for the inverter was also not handed over. The next morning, the system tripped the breakers and so they had to come back to fix the problem. They also improved the placement of equipment & sent over a link for the missing inverter manual which was not for the inverter that they installed! To date, I have not received the correct documentation. Customer support was very basic and no apologies were ever given. I decided to research the cost of the equipment which they had installed and received like for like quotes which were substantially lower than what I had paid for both the inverter & batteries.
I challenged them on their prices & they said the companies did not offer all the guarantees and protection that they were offering, plus an annual service. Even so, there should not be a difference of about £3,000!
I recommend anyone who uses this company to first get information of the equipment that they are quoting for & then research like for like quotes to avoid being ripped off like I was.
I feel stupid and very annoyed with myself for trusting this company and allowing them to rip me off .

I contacted FloEnergy for a quote in August 2022, and in less than a month had a fully installed and functional solar setup with battery storage for a very competitive price.
Communication was fantastic throughout, I was kept informed at all stages. Site survey was carried out promptly and a date set for install. Everything went well and no issues after 6 months of operation.

Very professional, always happy to answer any queries and questions, and advise on the different options available.

All done as expected with no much fuss. We agreed a good price (thanks for that), I had the battery storage installed in time when promised, job done with good quality, great communication with the supplier. Highly recommended.

The upfront advice Alessio gave was excellent. The range of quality equipment was also very good. I also chose Floenergy as they have accreditations which is really important.
Compared to others I found the price very reasonable. The final solution is working really well and I am very pleased to be saving on the electricity.

We had a cold call saying they had taken on inspecting solar systems after the demise of our supplier. we booked a visit from a rep. What a load of old guff he came out with, saying inverter needs replacing. Initial quote of £2200 quickly dropped to £1600 with some high pressure chat (ineffective!). A google while he was here came up with a few companies offering replacement inverters for around £700. One of the companies I talked to had also had customers who had almost fallen victim to Flo's greed, similar comments to be seen on MSE site. Dont accept their prices without doing some comparisons.

I so much wanted to write a glowing review of this company after what seemed initially like a fantastic installation.

Had a quote in March which was very good, cheaper by about £1000 to the next one. That wasn't the deciding factor, the owner who I spoke with was very knowledgable and answered all my questions promptly. Company has all the relevant insurances and certification needed in the industry. After researching the quoted kit, I went ahead with the proposed installation scheduled early May. My installation needed a G99 approval, at the time I didn't know this was needed before install, but they said it was ok and would be approved afterwards.

The day before install scaffolding was due to turn up, had no communication from the company at this point, which was disappointing. Contacted them and was told it would come next day, install day. Anyway, the next day came and no scaffolding, but the installer did turn up in the morning. To my surprise, he was prepared to install without scaffolding. A bit uneasy with this but was assured by the installer he could do it no problem. Scaffolding is third party so didn't hold this against them. As there was only one person to do the installation, it took two days instead of the one quoted, all while having no communication from the company. The installer worked very hard, but the panel arrangement was different from what was initially quoted. There are two rows of 6 and 7, 13 in total, which looks really odd. I put this to the company, and they offered to send and fit another panel foc, great I thought very happy with that. On the back of this I did a few referrals via the website which offer a reward of £250 to the referee and money off for the referral should they order.

It soon became apparent that something wasn't right with my inverter (5kw Luxpower) it would give out a loud buzzing sound and not discharge from batteries. I am somewhat a techy, I research and follow reviews guides etc, by no means an expert, but I know something is not right. I contact the company, who basically say it's all normal and will be monitored. This basically went on for several weeks, having this loud buzzing sound several times a week. After several emails to FloEnergy I contacted the UK distributor for Lux to get a resolution or answer, this prompts more communication between FloEnergy and the distributor. At this stage I still hadn't received my G99 approval, which at this time I find out it should have been in place before install. I am even considering a section 75 credit card charge back at this point due to the lack of action/communication. They finally sent out a team to look at the inverter, I showed them the numerous video's that had already been sent via emails, and they agreed the inverter should be replaced.

What follows was weeks of me chasing the G99 and the new inverter. In all fairness, the company did send me the extra panel that they said they would fit, this started to restore my faith a little. I also eventually get the G99 approval through, fantastic. I had been given a few dates when the new inverter and panel would be fitted. Each time these dates come and go and no one turns up with no follow-up communication. A friend orders with them using my referral despite me saying all the issues I had, but at least we would both be rewarded. They finally send a new inverter and install it mid-August, but the install-team know nothing of fitting the extra panel and leave. I get several more dates to fit this extra panel, but each time no one arrives and there is no answer back despite emails and phone calls. I realize they are busy, but if you offer to do something, stick to it!

I was going to let the referral reward go if they sorted this extra panel, but thought I may as well bring that up and ask, as I may need to pay another firm to fit it. Again, ignored emails and phone calls. At this point totally cheesed off. The lack of communication and customer service means I will no longer recommend FloEnergy. The referral scheme is an empty promise that looks good on the website. I will need to get another firm to fit the panel if I want my roof-panels to look neat. My elderly father would like a solar-battery system fitted, he would not be able to monitor and chase the company like I have needed to, so l cannot recommend.

I dread something else going wrong with my system, as I know I would not get any assistance from FloEnergy.
