Firstflight Omdömen

We flew from the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. The balloon we were allocated was one from Yorkshire! The pilot, Ollie, and the ground crew were amazingly helpful. We are in our 80s and my husband needed help to get into and out of the basket. But they were so patient, kind and helpful at all times. Very friendly yet always very professional. We had the best experience from takeoff to landing and everything in between. I would thoroughly recommend them. A special day to remember! Thank you 🙏

Barry was a great pilot and made the experience brilliant we felt safe and confident in his hands .
Nick the owner needs to be more empathetic about his customers and have better communication skills

Stunning morning at Bristol balloon fiesta. Nick and his team made everything easy before and on the day with clear comms. Big thanks to Steve our pilot for an incredible flight and smooth landing. Highly recommend

Very professional team and felt very safe. Great flight over Bristol and very gentle landing. Well informed at all times about what was going on. Experienced pilot with a good sense of humour.

It was the first flight for me and my boyfriend and it was so cool to see them blowing the balloon so closely. The flight was much smother than I thought. I was expecting to be very windy up there, but it was not. And the landing was so gentle that I barely felt it, no bumping at all. The staff went to collect us from the golf field where we landed and you guys where amazing. Astonishing how quickly you where to put everything back in the truck. Well done! Then we celebrated with a glass of bubbles. I am glad they also had juice as an option. Thank you very much for this amazing experience!

At the beginning of February 2026 I purchased two tickets for the morning mass ascent on the 09.08.26 at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, as a Birthday present for my husband who has never been on a balloon before. The order process and communications with First Flight were great and places were confirmed and tickets received within a week. A week before the event we received further information about the meeting point and time schedule as well as health and safety advise . On the day we went to the meeting point and were collected and taken to our balloon and pilot. We received further safety advise and had the opportunity of hands-on experience inflating the balloon. I never expected it to be such an accelerating experience. The atmosphere was super friendly amongst all the balloonists and full of excitement. We took off amongst many others and enjoyed a brilliant flight past the Suspension Bridge and over Bristol for a good 2hours. Dan the pilot was extremely experienced, friendly, knowledgable and made us feel safe and calm at all times. We landed safely in a field on the outskirts of Bristol, where the recovery team that had been following our balloon on road arrived shortly after, helping to pack up the envelope and basket . We were then surprised with a glass of champagne to celebrate this successful flight 😃We were then taken back to the event site, which was about a 35min journey. We learned so much about Ballooning on this flight and will definitely book again with First Flight , next time probably for a trip over the Cheddar Gorge 😄 What an amazing morning. Thank you to all involved and the best of luck to our pilot of the day Dan in the upcoming UK and World Ballooning Championships. 🍀We highly recommend!

Sam the pilot,
He was very professional in all aspects of the flight, always wanted to do a balloon flight, and thanks to my family I was able to do that

It was amazing. Very professionally organised. Very informative, Nick gave us lots of information. The ride was soo smooth not once did we feel stressed. Would totally recommend it to anyone.

Evening Balloon Flight with First Flight from Victoria Park, Bath: A Magical Experience
I took an evening balloon flight on 2nd August 2026 departing from Victoria Park in Bath with First Flight. It was a truly enchanting adventure that combined breathtaking scenery with a peaceful, serene atmosphere.
The experience started with a friendly and professional crew (Nick and Steve) who ensured every aspect of the flight was safe and comfortable. Once airborne, we were treated to panoramic views of Bath’s historic architecture, rolling countryside, and the winding River Avon below. The calm of the early evening enhanced the sensation of floating gently above the landscape, making it feel like a dream come true.
This flight was made to feel particularly special because of the timing—gliding through the skies as daylight transitions into twilight offers a unique perspective, with colors shifting and the city lights gradually twinkling to life. It was both peaceful and exhilarating.
The flight ended with a celebratory glass of bubbly.
It was certainly an experience I will remember for years to come.
Thank you First Flight

Great crew who made the experience thoroughly enjoyable

Excellent communication from Nick. This was bought as 40th Birthday present for me last year. We tried several times last August and September to fly but the weather was against us so we waited until this summer. We booked for June 29th which turned out to be a fabulous evening. Its the most magical thing that I have done. You couldn't fault the team from communication to the actual flight. It's well worth it. We took off from Ashton Court and traveled across Bristol towards Wick.

What a incredible experience. From the start to the end it has been easy. Great communication in keeping us updated in flight times and what they expect. Pilot was great and the experience was amazing. Thank you!10/10 recommend to book with First Flight!

amazing time - great communication, Nick was awesome, it was utterly magical.

The team were absolutely lovely, very friendly and made you feel welcome.

I got the flight for a Christmas present for my husband and he thoroughly enjoyed his experience

We finally got there after around 20 bookings, and it was worth every single wait!

My 10-year-old daughter and her grandad had the most incredible hot air balloon ride. She was so excited but understandably nervous beforehand, and the whole team were absolutely amazing. They were kind, reassuring, professional and made them both feel completely at ease from the moment they arrived. It made such a difference, especially for a first-time flyer.

One thing I’d say to anyone booking a balloon ride is be patient. It can be frustrating when flights are cancelled, but there’s a very good reason for it. The weather has to be just right – the wind, visibility and sunshine all need to line up perfectly. Living in the UK, you can imagine how rarely those conditions all come together! We had around 20 bookings before we finally flew.

When you’re waiting, remember that if it was your flight, you’d want the pilots to make exactly the same decision. Safety always comes first, and having the perfect conditions makes the experience even more magical.

Once they were up in the air, it was absolutely breathtaking and created memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to the whole team for making it such a special experience. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Good organisation. Quick reply on any question which I had.
Hugo was great. He answered on all our question and pointed on interesting places furing our flight.

Had a amazing first baloon flight this morning at sunrise from Bath with excellent pilot Nick we flew for just over an 1hr towards chew magna seen lot of wildlife with super soft landing. Would definitely recommend this company, many thanks Neil

Absolutely brilliant! Stunning views over Bath and the surrounding countryside, all organised and safely executed by a fabulous, friendly and super-efficient team. I will definitely do it again.

Wonderful experience with Nick and the team. The ride was a present for my mam's 60th, although we had a few cancellations due to weather, Nick always communicated clearly and promptly. The day itself went smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed the peace of the flight.
Nick was very knowledgeable with all of our questions and we loved hearing about his experience.
There were 8 people on the basket and we felt this was enough to be an intimate ride compared to the commercial virgin flight that had 16 people squeezed into one basket.
Would highly recommend First Flights, we had lots of fun, and felt safe the whole time. Thank you!

What an awesome experience. Nick and his team are very professional with safety being the top priority to ensure a great balloon flight.
