Deceptive, Poor leadership and a horrible platform
I am the Office Manager for a small business that was looking to move from a similar platform to FieldPulse. The owner signed the contract, perhaps in haste, however, it became apparent to me almost immediately of numerous issues with their platform and what they labeled "support" for their product.
As the Office Manager, my role is to oversee all of the back office operations, including scheduling, invoicing, collecting payments among other things. I was offered a meeting with a Torrie King, our assigned "Customer Success Specialist". We were also assigned an Account Manager, Brett Staton who stated his purpose was to serve as our "growth manager". I was supposed to be sent the login credentials to our account well in advance of our meeting, which never happened and in fact had to chase down this information even after the meeting.
We had our first meeting where it became immediately apparent that Torrie lacked a great deal of knowledge/training of their platform as I asked basic functionality questions since I was not involved with the pre-sales process. Torrie pushed that Google Sheets was the way to go for importing our data and when I asked if Excel worksheets would also be acceptable. He was unable to even answer that basic of a question. I asked questions about their ticket assignment/ escalation process, what their ticket levels looked like, criteria used for ticket creation and SLA's for each. Again, he had no knowledge of this information. There were numerous other very fundamental things asked that he was unable to answer, promising to follow up.
The follow up emails he did provide were filled with non-responsive fluffy emails of nothing but corporate speak, answering none of the questions he promised to address.
I spoke with Brett Staton on two different occasions, who was very sympathetic to the concerns I mentioned and said he would notify Torrie's management and go through their escalation process since he was limited in what he could do.
Brett offered to share the recorded sessions of the pre-sales with the owner because I was starting to suspect that the FieldPulse pre-sales likely misled the owner about what services he was going to be receiving for the price of the platform and the capabilities being offered for that price. I was finally sent links to watch the recordings, only I couldn't watch them because they put it behind a firewall and refused to send me the login credentials. Even when I sent 3 different emails asking for the credentials, Torrie ignored the emails.
I find it interesting that with all the fluffy emails Torrie sent me, none of them contained any links to their data migration guide that I found myself buried in their website. Which, given Torrie's demonstrated lack of knowledge does fit. Ironically, the instructions in their guides do not work either. I have an extensive background in IT from a former life and Torrie's boss tried to blame my inexperience.
We paid for Premium Support, yet when I called their support, it would ring and ring and ring and ring and then I would get a voice recording to leave a message saying "someone would get back to us within 24 to 48 hours". The support staff they have do not speak English very well and were difficult to understand. One person attempted to help me and then I was disconnected 40 min into the call. The next day I do get to speak with someone and they refer me back to Torrie. It was an absolute nightmare.
We are a small business and do not have time to be spending hours and hours and hours dealing with such a company that is so poorly led and disorganized.
The owner finally got fed up with the lack of support and the constant runaround I was getting, where he cancelled the contract. I got a call from Torrie's supervisor, Hannah Simmons the next day where she was attempting to get us back on track. I asked if she could summarize the issues as she was aware of them. It was clear she knew there were problems on their end, but was more interested in CYA than actually addressing our concerns. I told her that I had already spent numerous hours explaining these issues, and needed to hear from her what she understood of the growing list of issues. She was either only aware from a conceptual level or unwilling to take responsibility for the failures of her team. Either way, I told her that I had no further interest in working with her or FieldPulse.
They are now trying to charge the business $300/mth for the next year claiming that it is required per the contract. It would seem from the other reviews here, on Reddit and other places that FieldPulse seems more content on trying to swindle contracts by misleading and mispresenting their platform than actually providing a useable software platform.
STAY AWAY!!! They will bring you nothing but heart ache and lost revenue!
