I would not recommend this company for work.

We applied for a free boiler with a grant recently. Me and my husband have worked hard all our lives so when we heard about this we thought… why not! We are claiming child benefit for our baby born last year and that was enough for us to qualify for the free boiler. Ours is over 12 years old so it made sense.

The grant was actually “boiler and under floor insulation”. We paid £250 so we could have a Vailant boiler rather than a brand we hadn’t heard of.

The boiler part of this was spot on. Guy was really professional and did the job no messing in a day.
We where advised with the under floor insulation that the floor may be damaged (they only had to do one room). That is fine… considering that the whole laminate floor was taken up and replaced I am surprised there wasn’t more damage.
No one actually made us aware of just how messy this would be however.

The guys who came to do the floor also said they where putting in 2 extraction fans one to be in the kitchen and one in the bathroom ( we had a brand new bathroom fitted last year).

The one in the kitchen was pointless because it’s been put right next to an existing extraction hood. Not central may I add.
I suppose the company need to put X amount of fans in to get the funding for the grant so have just whacked them anywhere they can.

The one out in the bathroom ended up causing damage to our bathroom tiles and heated LED mirror.

When I questioned this with the company and shared my concerns and photos I was asked first “what outcome I was looking for”. Then after chasing up a response was basically called a liar and told that there was no proof that the damage was caused by their workmen. I literally sent the photos the next day.

Anyway as you can see by the photos the electrician has made a pigs ear of the fan in the bathroom even nailing a random nail into the ceiling and for some reason ran the wire along instead of straight up.

I am so annoyed with this and how it has been handled. We also had trickle vents put on the windows. The gardener found one on the grass today.
Also when the workmen where in the house I heard them saying that one window was a nightmare and discussing weather to do “a blag one”. Not too bothered about this but while I am here expressing my dissatisfaction I thought I would add this as it doesn’t scream professional does it.

Now the company are not responding after me and my husband emailing. Also the payment I made was to a private account and not a company which also seemed a bit odd.

The quickest and most efficient service I have ever had from a trade company . Assessed my parents property last weds and the boiler and under floor insulation was in by the following Monday . From beginning to start this whole experience had been first class . The assessor fully explained the process to my parents and the fitters were respectful of my bed bound father - they were super quick and extremely clean and tidy . My father has dementia and he was not in the slightest disrupted by their activity in the house . They are delighted with the quality of the work plus they have a brand new boiler and insulated floor which will make a massive difference to their winter ! Thank you !!

I had a boiler fitted from this company for free! And I could not thank them enough the 2 men who came was in and out and left no mess cleaned up after themselves the lady who helped me gather all my paperwork on the phone to get my free boiler was amazing too. I would highly recommend using Fairway Energy to everyone thank you guys so much for everything you have done for me and my children.
