Very disappointing experience.
I recently sold my motorcycle and contacted them to cancel my insurance policy, which I had paid in full at the start for around £97. I was told that I would need to pay a £50 cancellation fee, which is more than 50% of the entire policy cost. Considering there were only around three months left on the policy, I found this completely unreasonable.
I initially said I would just let the policy run until the end, but was then told that wasn't an option because I no longer owned the vehicle and the policy had to be cancelled immediately.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that, after I challenged the charge, they suddenly offered to waive the £50 cancellation fee. If the fee could be waived so easily, why was I asked to pay it in the first place?
The whole experience left me feeling like the company was simply trying to extract more money from customers. Insurance costs are already high enough without excessive cancellation fees being used to generate additional revenue.
Very disappointed with how this was handled and certainly not an experience I would expect from a customer focused insurer.

When a vehicle is sold, the insurance policy can no longer remain active as the insured no longer has an insurable interest in the vehicle, which is why cancellation is required. We appreciate that this may have come as an unexpected inconvenience.
We also recognise your frustration regarding the cancellation charge and the subsequent decision to waive it. We appreciate how this could appear inconsistent and leave you questioning why the fee was initially applied. We aim to assess each situation individually and, where appropriate, review charges based on the specific circumstances presented.

Good communication for my renewal, and excellent telephone service when I needed to talk to someone to make changes to my policy.
The policy offers excellent cover and a very competitive price. These people seem to understand what is important to bike owners.

Saved money on cover for all my motorcycles…
Sorted out cover for all my motorcycles under one policy and saved me money. The agent was super helpful, professional, friendly and knowledgeable ;though it did take three separate attempts to get the right agent. So if you are not happy with the agent just try again; it's worth it.
Instead of paying three separate policies I now only pay for one which saves me money and I am better able to organise my budget and cover once a year instead of three.
