First time using the EatClub card it was declined by the restaurant payment terminal, but my account was charged. I then had to pay the restaurant the full amount. So ended up paying twice for a meal with no resolution from the app company.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Delivery from Eat Club Driver’s Misconduct and Wrong-Side Driving – Vehicle KA 05 AS 7970

I would like to raise a complaint regarding the behaviour of a delivery driver near Bagmane Tech Park. The vehicle number is KA 05 AS 7970.

The driver was driving on a one-way road in the wrong direction under the railway bridge and stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road. When vehicles behind him started honking, instead of correcting his mistake and moving aside, he started arguing with other road users and making unnecessary comments about vehicles coming from the opposite direction.

What was particularly unacceptable was his aggressive and abusive behaviour. He was using extremely vulgar and inappropriate language toward people on the road and behaved in a very disrespectful and irresponsible manner.

I request the concerned team to please take this complaint seriously, identify the driver and vehicle, and take appropriate action. Such behaviour, especially while driving a delivery vehicle on public roads, is completely unacceptable and creates unnecessary conflict and inconvenience for other road users.

I hope the matter will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

Got offered a $15 voucher off our first order by using the code EAT15 and it didn’t even work. We wouldn’t have gone out if we weren’t offered the voucher, so I’m pretty upset. Customer service was non-existent when we asked for help. I didn’t want to cancel the booking as you get charged a fee, so we kept the booking even though we weren’t able to use our $15 off. I feel like the $15 off voucher was just a fake offer to entice new customers to use eat club. I followed up with eat club after waiting a few days as there was zero response from them, even though we contacted them through the “live chat” prior to arriving at the restaurant. When they finally replied days later they said they can’t refund us the $15 off our total bill even though it was their fault the code wasn’t working. Not a good experience… honestly it kinda feels like we fell for a scam, as it seems the $15 voucher was just a fake offer to entice us to place our first order.

Very disappointing experience with EatClub.

The whole point of using EatClub is to receive the advertised discount, but when I recently tried to use the app, the discount/payment system did not work as it should. As a result, I was unable to use the EatClub offer as advertised.

I have contacted EatClub multiple times requesting a refund, but despite sending several enquiries, I have received no refund and, more importantly, not even a proper response from customer service.

If you’re going to offer discounts through an app, the payment system needs to work — and when it doesn’t, customers should be able to get a response and their money back promptly.

I cannot recommend EatClub based on my experience and will be reconsidering using the service again.

Horrible, got overcharge and the discount wasn't real. I tried to contact with customer service, but it didn't help.

Absolutely shitty customer service. Ordered for 710 rupees of sandwiches and none of the boxes were sealed properly, even worse three of the sandwiches were damaged. When I complained, the customer care service was non-existent. The complain was not at all taken seriously even though was an issue of complete negligency and health hazard. This company also nowadays don't accept COD so that if they send you shit for food, then they can disregard accountability completely and rob you of your money.

Stay away .. disconnect between the booking times and dates advertised on the App and actual a availability of the Restaurant (Panoramic 34 Liverpool) ..
We arrived as a walk in at 7.30 following a confirmation email form EatClub .. to be told by Panoramic 34 that they were closed for a Private Event.. EatClub are chancers with no actual offering -- you might as well walk in ..Disappointed and Embarrassed

Tried for the first time and really unimpressed.

When I claimed the offer, the app said to "Arrive before" a certain time, so I assumed that was just the cutoff for arrival, rather than the deadline to pay the bill.

I ended up missing the discount, as I only saw the "10 mins left" email warning about the payment deadline after dinner (I don't check my inbox while out eating with friends - who does?).

This omission seems intentional, and resulted in me unknowingly paying the full price, plus a generous tip (which I added in part to make up for the discount I thought I was getting), and EatClub still got their commission. Never using again.

Service didn't work, customer support won't reply, and now I'm £40 out of pocket

Very happy with this app and the customer service! I had a glitch and customer service sorted it out within days and got me the discount I had lost in error! The choices are great with lots of variety. I have used in several locations around Australia!

The discounts are misleading.
Most of the time they have hidden fees.
Every time I had 20% off, I always ended up with a lower discount (15%), which is false advertising.
On top of that, the card did not work on 3 occasions and I had to pay full price.

Used for the first time tonight, was a bit concerned when the full price came up on my phone when i paid but got an email seconds after saying how much I had saved , you get more than one transaction while your there if you need to buy more it’s on a time limit which is explained in the email when you redeem the voucher for the visit , will definitely use again

They are Just showing discount to fool the customer. I recently booked 2 pizza & 2 paneer tikka stuffed garlic bread ( Mojo Pizza) through Eat club. After receiving order we notice they have sent us a Plain garlic bread instead of stuffed. I raised a complaint & spoken to Customer Service centre they are forcefully saying to eat what u have got. As per there terms Exchange is not possible.
This is how they fool customer by showing a big discount.

Used it for the first time yesterday with no issues. Nice way of introducing you to restaurants you might not have visited before.

Really recommend, I was scared when I was reading all the opposite reviews but from using my self I am definitely happy and would use again, what am I losing not using haha it’s a win win

I have gone to fair trading and ACCC these guys have ripped me off several times sneakily after spending thousands with them. They appear all good and was no issues but minute there app plays up they won’t refund you and you will fork out the full bill. On a day when it’s public holiday and it appears to have gone through all so confusing that was just one time. No customer support and rude response as a loyal customer who was in the top 2percentage of highest spenders. This app is being run by kids and it’s not capable of keeping up with its concept. BE WARNED do not use !!!

I would strongly advise any venue considering joining EatClub to think twice.

Our experience has been incredibly disappointing from the beginning. We were promised one thing during the sales process, but once we signed up, the reality was completely different. Agreements that were made were simply not honoured, leaving us feeling misled and unsupported.

The app is unreliable and regularly fails to work properly, which creates unnecessary confusion and frustration for customers and extra stress for our staff. Instead of taking responsibility and resolving issues promptly, support is slow and offers very little practical help.

As a venue owner, you expect a business partner to be transparent, reliable, and to stand by their commitments. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. Rather than helping our business grow, this partnership has created ongoing problems and wasted valuable time.

Based on our experience, I cannot recommend EatClub to other venues.

We went to a Thai restaurant called VOCO Thai Kitchen in West Ryde with Google Rating 4.7 Star introduced through Eat Club. The experience was a total disaster. The food was sus and disgusting. Never ever dine in this place again.

Both the restaurant I went to and the app were absolutely horrible. I was overcharged because the EatClub prices don’t match the in store menu prices, which is a very dodgy way to “accidentally” overcharge someone. Their customer service is terrible and rude and blatantly refused a refund for the overcharged amount but offered me a voucher. I declined because I will not use them again. My emails went unanswered for a week as well. If they want to keep people using their app they should work harder to provide good customer service.

The discounts advertised do work, and I've managed to save money using the app, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of less.

However, I've had two separate issues where I needed a refund, and I contacted customer support both times. Unfortunately, I never received a response. It's really frustrating when something goes wrong and there's no way to get help or recover your money.

I also noticed on LinkedIn that EatClub appears to be hiring for multiple business development roles, but I couldn't find any customer service positions. As a customer, that gives the impression that the company is prioritising growth and revenue over supporting the people who already use the app. Whether that's the reality or not, it's certainly how the experience feels when your support requests go unanswered.

Good discounts alone aren't enough. If a company is happy to take customers' money, it also needs to be there when something goes wrong. Ignoring refund requests is unacceptable, and until EatClub invests in proper customer support, I can't recommend it with confidence.
