AVOID !!!

Awful company to deal with . They have hidden charges in everything . They gave us the wrong drop of location on the app , we called to confirm it was showing correctly on app and agent on the phone confirmed it was .

They then tried to charge us a late drop off fee because their app was not working even though we dropped it off before the designated time.

Do not put yourself through the hassle with this company .

Stay away from these people, trust me! They’re giving fraud vibes.

Avoid this company at all costs!

I received a fine from a car 15 days after I had already returned it. They still put the fine under my name, even though I wasn’t renting the vehicle that day.

When I emailed them to dispute it, instead of resolving the issue, they charged me another $51 just for responding to my email.

This system feels like a complete scam — no real support, only unfair charges and blame pushed onto the customer.

I booked a car through Drivemate AU but ended up not picking it up due to issues found during the pickup inspection. Despite this, I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service. RHEA assisted me on 04-Sep-2025, starting the refund process, while MELVIN provided regular updates on the status of my refund on 05-Sep-2025. JIRAH and MELVIN also helped me clarify booking related fees and price breakdown on 03-Sep-2025. Finally, I got the money credited back in my bank account on 08-Sep-2025.
Throughout the process, all 3 representatives were courteous, empathetic, and attentive to my concerns. They responded promptly, keeping me informed without me having to chase them for updates. Their genuine care and professionalism made the experience feel personal and sincere. Though I didn't get the car, I truly appreciate their (RHEA, JIRAH, and MELVIN) dedication to resolving my issue and their exceptional customer service. They have set a high standard and I am grateful for their support.

Amber from the customer assistance chat was above and beyond helpful. She answered within 2 min when I hadn’t heard back from an owner. She called him straight away for me, and even advised me on how to handle everything. She made the whole process very simple.

The app contact support is great and very helpful. The app is sometimes a bit glitchy but just contact support and they sort it.

Don't do it....i took a trip at the start of the year, everything was fine and then 9 months later i got a charge of $100 for a 'flat battery' and then a month later another $329 fine. No number to call and they take months to come back to you on support emails / chats. Done not do it

The fees are a bit steep.. the kilometer charges are a shock and grossly miscalculated, but the staff available to help, unmatched!

Poorly made, frustrating app and high hidden fees. Just book a Bunnings ute, far cheaper and much easier.

Decided to give it a shot cuz I had 50% off offer. Not worth it. Car I rented was absolute junk. Stunk like cigarettes - not like someone just smoked in it, but that long term stench like it's been smoked in every day for a decade.

2 months after the rental, out of nowhere, I get a $205 cleaning charge. After hours of back and forth with customer service, the agreed to refund. Was supposed to be 7-10 business days. 15 business days later, they stopped replying to my messages online. Finally got through to a person on the phone who could see that the refund is approved and "with the finance team" the but they are backlogged with refunds and they can't give me a timeframe for when mine will be processed.

Freaking joke, scam of a company. Never again.

Avoid! I got lured into downloading the app with an offer of a $25 discount code - that the system then wouldn't accept. (after countless back-and-forth messages I finally got a "credit" for $25 off my next ride - as if I'll use that) . Heaps of charges on top of what you expect , but most disgraceful is that Nine days later still waiting for a refund of my deposit.
