DLG Auto Services is Direct Line Group’s UK network of bodyshops, today consisting of 23 garages nationwide which makes us one of the largest repair groups in the UK. We repair around 100,000 accident damaged cars every year, and all cars are repaired to British Kitemark BS 10125 standard, the British safety standard for vehicle damage repair. All repair work comes with a 5-year guarantee, and we are committed to ensuring we meet the manufacturers repair standards to ensure our customers vehicles are repaired to the highest standards. By investing in new technologies, we are preparing the business for the future and will have a better understanding of how technology will affect the design and manufacture of cars. Our high operating efficiency allows us to deliver excellent cost control whilst meeting our environmental targets through lowering emissions and increased recycling. We are exploring a range of solutions to embed our environmental goals as part of our emissions reduction strategy, including using alternative fuels such as hydrogenated vegetable oil and energy efficient lighting. Safety and quality are really at the heart of everything we do, and it is paramount that you would use us again and recommend us to your friends and family.

Appalling communication

Appalling communication, one day the parts are in and repairs will be finished on time, next day still waiting for parts & no ETA, day after parts will be available by the end on following week. 2 days later parts are in car ready on Tuesday or Thursday. Wednesday, message to say parts are not in, no ETA. Thursday a call to say car will be ready on Friday. Friday morning a call to say it will be delivered between 1&5, they turn up at 11:30 and the driver was rude to my son and him he had spoken to me to say he would be early. That wasn't the case as I don't finish work until 12:30. Broken parts were left in the boot. Poor experience from start to finish

Had an accident with my car and DLG…

Had an accident with my car and DLG Auto Services was the repairer through my insurance and I can’t fault them. Kept me up to date with everything, got a link sent to me where you could login and see the progress of your car there was also a comment section at the bottom where any calls were noted and you could also write a message for them too. They were very efficient and got my car sorted for me.

I recently had my car repaired at DLG…

I recently had my car repaired at DLG Teesside.
The work was completed to a high standard, some unexpected challenges were overcome and in particular the staff were always super helpful. It was great and speak to an actual person straight away.
I'd have no problem using them again if the need were to arise and the 5 year guarantee brings peace of mind.

Good Job Done

Starting with the finished job. It was excellent. My car was returned to me better than new.
Before this everyone I spoke to was courteous and helpful. I was treated as an individual not a number.
My car was in DLG's workshop as a result of a road traffic accident and there was some delay on the repair as an essential part was on back order for sometime. Not ideal but not DLG's fault. During this time I was regularly kept up to date on progress. Thus I was able to plan accordingly.
Hopefully I shall not need DLG's again any time soon but should the need arise I would not hesitate to put my car in their hands.

Good conversation not good job

I would like to start by praising the mechanic for providing fast and clear information about the repair work — that part of the service was excellent and much appreciated.

Unfortunately, the quality of the paint job was very disappointing. The surface has a bumpy, uneven texture, similar to "orange peel," which suggests the job was not done professionally.

Additionally, when I collected the car, the windows and side plastic elements were covered in paint dust. It took significant time and effort to clean this off, which should never have been necessary after a professional repair.

Overall, I was very unsatisfied with the final result and expected a much higher standard of workmanship.

I was kept informed of the repair progress throughout, which was great. The team were very courteous, friendly and helpful. My car was collected and dropped off at work, which was very convenient for me. Excellent service.
