Prenotazione confermata e pagata, ma al ritiro Differental ha rifiutato la mia carta di credito solo perché emessa da una banca online, senza che questa limitazione fosse chiaramente indicata al momento della prenotazione. Hanno rifiutato anche la carta della mia accompagnatrice e la possibilità di cambiare intestatario. Nessuna flessibilità, nessun rimborso, solo tempo e denaro sprecati. Esperienza da evitare assolutamente.

Esperienza assurda. Prenotazione confermata, ma al banco ci è stato negato il ritiro perché la carta di credito era di una banca online. Nessuna soluzione proposta, rifiutata anche la carta del secondo conducente e impossibile modificare i dati. Soldi trattenuti senza consegnare alcun veicolo. Comportamento scorretto e zero professionalità.

Dopo circa 35 gg sto ancora aspettando il deposito, al telefono non risponde nessuno una vera truffa

This company is a scam. Specially when you book your car via middleman as DoYouItaly. In the filter options you can select providers which accept debit cards. Differental accept a debit card but only when you buy from them providers insurance I quote from the agreement which you get to your email after payment: "Debit cards are accepted if you take the supplier's insurance." In my case it was 3x what I paid to rent a car. I didn't take it because insurance is not a blocked value on your card but actually a cost you need to take in addition to rental. You get this information far too late to avoid selecting their rental offer. Of course whole rental is non refundable even 48h before selected starting date. I won't receive back my money but maybe someone will save their own.

Consegnata l’auto fuori dall’orario di apertura, a distanza di poche ore hanno mandato per e-mail il resoconto di danni inesistenti o puramente inventati manomettendo addirittura alcune foto di verifica.
Fortunatamente avevamo fatto anche noi delle riprese prima e dopo la restituzione dell’autovettura e alcuni punti siamo riusciti a provare la falsità delle loro pretese.
Purtroppo però in determinati punti, difficili da osservare da un telefono, non abbiamo avuto la possibilità di comprovare la nostra estraneità a presunti danni come ad esempio sul vetro del cofano essendo veramente un punto troppo piccolo.
La sede di questi parassiti è a Catania e purtroppo essendo ad ore di aereo non ho potuto rivendicare la mia innocenza rimanendo costretto a pagare 1.500€ di franchigia.

It's a scam. They knew I had excess insurance, so they charged 710 Euros for a tiny scratch on the wheel. Didn't even clean the wheels to take photos. Car has parking sensor and camera, unlikely I had caused this damage anyway. Didn't take photos before rental as I couldn't find any damage in the dark at 11pm, didn't check the wheels. Make sure you take photos and have excess insurance, or avoid them. I read they could take months to return deposit...

Spesso viaggio ma, mai avevo noleggiato con differental.Sono rimasta molto contenta; la ragazza al box è stata molto carina e gentile. Sicuramente quando tornerò a Catania ci rivedremo.

Watch out with this rent a car, specially in Italy. Last June I rented a car in Milan (pre paid in Portugal) and after arriving they did not accept my credit card because it didn't have the numbers embossed. A ridiculous situation just to force me to subscribe full insurance and to pay 270€ extra. Besides this, and after returning to Lisbon, I received 2 debit notes from the bank (61€ each) related to what they identified as administrative costs to deal with police fines. They charged these costs without any proof of fine existence. Email after email, they do not respond or credit the values. No doubt it is a scheme to charge foreigners that use their services, and with no much support to fight it at a long distance. Extremely bad experience

Differental ist hier lediglich das Verständnis von Anstand. Es ist hier eine Geschäftsmasche, derart absurde Kreditkartenkonditionen in den Vertrag zu schreiben und damit diese vom Kunden abzulehnen. Den Wagen bekommt man nur durch Abschluss einer absurt hohen Versicherung, die selbst doppelt so teuer ist wie die Miete selbst. Ekelhaft!

Avec Do you italia, ce fut une catastrophe et des vacances gachées . Des jeunes personnes aveugles, obstinés qui m'ont dit que mon permis était périmé alors que c'est absolument faux , je rouel tous les jours , une proposition en contrepartie 3 fois plus cher que lors de mon contrat avec do you italia, j'ai perdu 500 Euros , et je suis très en colère , je ne retournerai plus jamais en Sardaigne .A Fuir absolument. Je vais porter plainte auprès de l'ambassade car aucun remboursement ni dédommagent des frais de taxi et des dommages psychologiques. J'ai Soixante dix ans et je suis outré en très en colère

Aeropuerto de Fiumiccino en Roma. Nos hicieron contratar un seguro a parte de 405€ cuando reservamos un todo incluido. Nos reventaron la economía del viaje. Tienen una serie de condiciones auténticamente ABUSIVAS. Al menos la reserva del depósito de gasolina (150€ para un Fiat Panda, a precio de Ferrari) lo devolvieron rápidamente.

Attention à ce loueur ! il propose des tarifs alléchants mais vous oblige à prendre son assurance car il refuse la carte visa 1er credit/débit (alors que cette carte permet justement de ne pas s'assurer à l'étranger auprès des loueurs). ce qui triple allègrement votre facture ... par contre pour le paiement de l'assurance, il accepte cette meme carte .... cherchez l'erreur ...

Il veicolo non verrà restituito né all'ufficio né al broker. Il veicolo è stato prenotato tramite il sito web del broker Do You Itally. Sono stati contattati tramite WhatsApp per confermare la prenotazione con assicurazione completa senza dover pagare costi aggiuntivi tramite l'ufficio di autonoleggio. Sono stati informati che non ci sono costi aggiuntivi sull'importo dell'assicurazione completa. All'arrivo all'aeroporto di Milano, non ho trovato l'ufficio e li ho contattati con una telefonata internazionale molto costosa. Poi mi è diventato chiaro che non avevano un ufficio di autonoleggio in aeroporto. Bisogna aspettare di essere prelevati dall'aeroporto e poi dirigersi con l'autista all'ufficio. Che tempo sprecato. Questa questione non è stata chiarita prima della prenotazione. Quando sono andato all'ufficio, mi è stato chiesto di pagare costi aggiuntivi con la scusa dell'assicurazione completa e di aspettare a lungo e di discutere a causa della polizza poco chiara... Questa esperienza non si ripeterà con questo ufficio e questo sito web ingannevoli.

🚨 Avoid Differential Unión – Abusive and Non-Transparent Charges 🚨

This company operates with misleading and abusive practices. When booking online, the International Driving Permit was listed only as recommended, but at pick-up they suddenly made it mandatory and forced me to pay an outrageous €50 per day surcharge, on top of the original rate of less than €25 per day. That means I was charged more than double the agreed price without any valid explanation.

The staff refused every reasonable solution (presenting my license electronically or even showing an online international permit) and treated me with complete disregard. These so-called “extra costs” had no basis or justification—they are nothing but hidden fees designed to exploit customers.

Differential Unión shows a total lack of transparency and respect for consumers. I strongly urge others to stay away from this company to avoid being subjected to the same abusive treatment.

Al momento del noleggio non hanno accettato la mia carta perché secondo loro la banca non è una “vera banca” essendo solo una banca online. La stessa carta con cui ho noleggiato la macchina in altri 20 paesi in tutto il mondo. Cosicché propongo una carta di una “vera” banca in Italia, di cui non avevo la versione fisica, ma anche questa non andava bene. Noi avevamo già acquistato il noleggio e la polizza assicurativa completa, non ci hanno dato l’auto e non ci hanno rimborsato, lasciandoci a piedi.

At the rental desk at Catania airport, Differental charged me an extra €385 (more than the cost of my one week rental) because I didn't have an "international drivers license". I have driven in italy tens of times and never needed more than my UK Drivers License. The T&Cs EXPLICITLY stated "UK Drivers license OR international drivers license". I pointed this out and showed them copies of the contract. They were disinterested.
They refused to release the car until I paid for "full insurance"; an extra €385. It was either that or my family of 4 were left stranded for a week with no car. I was forced to pay.

This has all the hallmarks of bait & switch scam.

To their credit, Autounion (not Differental) refunded my money when I raised a formal complaint.

Book with Differental at your peril

Absolutely terrible experience. This car rental company is all about ripping customers off at every opportunity. Hidden fees, bad service, and zero transparency. I gave them 1 star only because 0 isn’t possible. Avoid at all costs
