There when needed!!!!!....

Super, Caring service!!.... Cannot praise them enough!!... Whilst out of my home country, the staff did everything possible to locate a local dentist when I required emergency treatment....and kept in constant telephone contact with me, to update me....Thank you for all your help!!

Nice enough plan but absolutely awful customer service AI front end makes interraction impossible

Having been a fairly satisfied Denplan client for more years than I care to remember I found the lack of accessibility of information regarding the basic function of cancelling my current plan and commencing a new plan due to a house move to be utterly bewildering in this day and age. It was completely impossible to speak to a human about this fairly simple query and the AI based assistant 'refused' to allow me to speak to a human agent because I did not have access to my account number. I am to put it mildly surprised to find that Denplan make it easy to leave and wave you off with 'sorry to see you go' but give you no pathway whatsoever to open a new plan with another Dentist. Once you have a plan it works well but the the complete lack of ability to interract with any representative other than the most annoying AI I have ever come accross makes things very difficult. Oh, and after three weeks of trying I still have been unable to commence a new plan.

For clarity, customers can cancel their plan either by calling us or by cancelling online, and a 21-day notice period applies. Plans are not transferable between practices, so when moving to a new dentist, customers would need to find a new practice and register for a new plan directly with them.

Amazing customer service always helpful…

Amazing customer service always helpful and there is no wait to get advisor on chat if you have any queries. They answered all my questions and proceed with claim
On chat. I really recommend them. Easy to access the website advisers are brilliant and provide an excellent customer service and claim is back to your account quicker then 5 days.

Emergancy dental treatment.

Emergency dental treatment required one phone call to arrange time and location. No problem it was amazing service and my pain managed immediately.

The policy descriptions does not clearly tell a normal customer what is covered in their policy. Poor customer service which takes long waiting time, useless advices in further actions that can be taken.

I have been with Denplan for many years…

I have been with Denplan for many years but never had to arrange for out of hours treatment.
In this case I had a problem with a loose crown on a Friday afternoon when my own practice was closed. I was concerned due it becoming painful that it might be something more serious and didn’t want to wait until after the weekend.
I arranged an emergency appointment for the Saturday where the problem was resolved.

I applied to Denplan for reimbursement of the costs and it was arranged within a few days. All very straightforward. Thank you.

Needed emergency treatment…

On holiday seeking emergency treatment for abcess.
The last thing I wanted to do when phoning for help was speak to a robot! Eventually spoke to a lovely human who was super helpful and arranged an appointment for me, local to where I was staying ,within three hours. Dentist looked in my mouth, confirmed abcess, gave me antibiotics . Cost £99. I claimed that online from Denplan and it was reimbursed within a couple of days. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the robot!

Great experience

I spoke with El Goldthorpe this afternoon regarding my new contract with Denplan. I had lots of questions as this is my 1st interaction with the team and she answered them all with a professional tone & clarity! Follow up email was sent with all relevant detail for me which I greatly appreciated.

Look further for a dental insurer

Having got past a robot waited over 15 minutes for a real person to speak to me! I wanted clarification on my contract terms.
To be honest I pay around a £1k a year, I’m not convinced on the integrity of this “middleman”.

Denplan don't want to hear complaints…

Denplan don't want to hear complaints about your dentist, they don't care if they're charging you for work that should be covered by there insurance plan ie root canal should be covered by my plan, "oh! that will be £460 please" crown should be covered by my plan, "that will cost you £300 thank you" My dentist asked me to travel several miles away to another dentist who supposedly had better equipment to do a root canal and would charge me over £400 I refused to go as I was unable to drive at the time so he grudgingly carried out the root canal himself but boy did he make me suffer pressing on my swollen gum then pressing one of my teeth so hard it still aches today. Complaining I wasn't opening my mouth wide enough and offering to take all my teeth out. I haven't been back, I've spoken to several other people and it seems its common practice for dentists (not just mine) to send Denplan customers to other practices were they are charged for work that should be ( as per there plan laid out in writing by Denplan) covered by there Denplan policy. I have 3 people on Denplan and will be looking at the alternatives. Don't bother trying to ring Denplan I waited 15 min after arguing with AI robot.

We are deeply sorry to learn of your experience. For our customers who have Denplan directly through their dentist, if they are dissatisfied with their registered practice and the service they have provided in any way, we recommend discussing their concerns with the dental practice directly.

If you put your concerns to them in writing they should respond to you within 14 days, and provide you with a copy of the practice’s in-house complaints procedure. This is because Denplan is a monthly budgeting scheme for which we act as an administrator, collecting your monthly payments and passing these to your registered dentist, whom your contract is with.

It's also very disappointing to learn that your interaction with our digital assistant was not as smooth as we would like and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

stupid admin system when you move…

while the cover is good the fact you have to cancel when you move to a new dentist and then re-apply is pathetic and a mess, my account says i have a missed payment which i don't. i have to create a new log in while the exiting one still works, the admin of this is a joke.

Great customer service

Had a few reservations regarding my policy , called up and was put through to Emma who was great, very knowledgeable and answered all my questions I had, in the end, I decided to upgrade my policy as I felt reassured by the customer service Emma provided.

Moving to a dentist closer to home.

Moving to a dentist closer to home, my wife and I chose the Denplan dentist as our way forward, very pleased how quickly we were accepted and starting new treatment plans so soon.
