Very impressed with Lional Acquah the sales person who dealt with me. However there is a very large amount of information to take when negotiating a deal. The handover was excellent, however it has taken several visits to youtube to work out how things on the dash board etc functioned.

Arranged the leasing agreement for my new Audi through VFS and they provided a very efficient and professional service. All the admin was simply dealt with and the new car arrived exactly as planed, fantastic.

My car went back at the end of the contract. During the inspection I was advised that the fact I had no puncture repair kit meant I would be charged. My car had self sealing tyres therefore a puncture repair kit was never supplied neither was a compressor, both of which I have received a charge for. The inspector was sympathetic but ultimately said I would have to take it upon myself to dispute the charge. I am now in the process of doing that. There should be an override on the inspection system that allows for this charge to be written off. Lots of modern cars have self sealing tyres and the system is outdated. The invoice is due in 30 days and the investigation could take up to 8 weeks. I will probably have to pay it and get a refund. I think this is a joint issue between the collection company and VWFS. I'm sure I'm not the only one to experience this. Other than this my experience with them has been okay.

Overall, my experience with VW Finance and leasing a new 2026 VW Tayron eHybrid has been very positive, but there are a few areas that I believe could be improved to create a better customer experience.

Firstly, it would have been helpful to know from the outset that VW Finance would be involved in the lease process. This was our first lease vehicle and, having previously owned two Volvos and three Volkswagens, we were unfamiliar with how the arrangement would work. That said, the VW Finance paperwork and online onboarding process were simple, straightforward and easy to understand.

One point worth highlighting is the maintenance package pricing. Carparison initially offered maintenance at around £40 per month, which seemed expensive, so I declined it. However, when the VW Finance paperwork arrived, the equivalent maintenance package was offered at approximately £14 per month including VAT, a significant difference. On that basis I took the VW Finance option. Greater consistency and transparency between brokers and finance providers would help customers make informed decisions.

The reason I chose the Tayron eHybrid was largely due to advice from the YouTube channel "Not a Car Guru", whose famous saying is, "Don't chase the car, chase the deal." After test-driving several Chinese competitors, the VW offer stood out. It was approximately £70 per month cheaper than comparable alternatives while still providing a well-specified vehicle from a trusted manufacturer.

The deal was advertised as having no Carparison fees and no initial payment. However, this wasn't quite how it played out in practice. The VW Finance documentation showed an initial payment due on 20th October, followed by another payment on 29th October. This effectively creates a very expensive first month for many households. In my view, VW should review this process. A simple, transparent 24-month payment schedule would likely attract more customers and avoid confusion.

Another issue relates to the vehicle being supplied as a pre-registered car. Although the vehicle was delivered to me on 29th September, it had already been registered on 1st July. This means that several benefits, including complimentary app services and other free subscriptions, are already two months into their lifespan before the customer even receives the vehicle. As a result, these services will expire before the lease agreement ends, despite the vehicle being effectively brand new when delivered. This leaves a slightly bitter taste in what has otherwise been a very good experience. I believe VW should address this issue for customers taking delivery of pre-registered vehicles. Few people are likely to pay additional fees to extend services simply because the car sat in stock before delivery.

There is also ambiguity around servicing. The vehicle indicates a service interval of two years or 19,000 miles. Based on my expected mileage, it is quite possible that the maintenance plan I purchased will cover work that is not actually required during my lease period. A typical first service is often little more than an oil and inspection service, usually costing significantly less than the total maintenance package. Greater clarity would help customers decide whether a maintenance plan represents good value for their circumstances.

In summary, the Tayron eHybrid itself is an excellent vehicle and represents outstanding value for money. The leasing process was generally smooth, and the VW Finance onboarding was clear and professional. However, the payment structure, pre-registration implications, subscription timing, and servicing transparency all need more careful consideration. Both VW Finance and Carparison should ensure customers have all the facts before committing, helping to build trust, encourage repeat business and create a better overall ownership experience.

I would be very interested to see whether managers from either company take the time to review this feedback and respond to some of the points raised.

I was seen promptly by one of your sales executives (Dan) who couldn’t do enough for me, and managed to find me the perfect deal! It was such a lovely experience and I felt very looked after. Dan was very friendly and understanding throughout the whole process - excellent customer service!

Merely that the process was very straightforward. I knew the parameters that I could afford to work in and these were met with very little difficulty.
