Probleme beim Erhalt von PSN-Guthaben

Ich habe per Mail einen PSN-Gutschein in Höhe von 20 € als Geschenk erhalten. Wenn ich auf den Link in der Mail klicke, werde ich weitergeleitet auf die Seite von cashstar und aufgefordert, meine E-Mail-Adresse einzugeben, um die Geschenkkarte zu erhalten. Doch trotz korrekter Eingabe der Adresse, erscheint jedes Mal eine Fehlermeldung und und die Aufforderung, es später erneut zu versuchen, was nichts bringt.

Natürlich habe ich mich bereits an den Kundensupport gewandt, wurde dort jedoch bereits 3 mal mit derselben Standard-Mail abgespeist, die in keinster Weise auf mein Problem eingeht und trotzdem tagelang auf sich warten lässt. Die Enttäuschung ist daher natürlich groß.

UPDATE:
Das Problem konnte mittlerweile gelöst werden. Zwar hat es lange gedauert und der Fehler war unglücklich, trotzdem hat es nun funktioniert.

No explanation and no credit refund on the credit card.
I ordered two e-gift cards through Thrift Books and they use CashStar to process them. The order went through immediately, but within seconds, I received a second email stating they could not process the order, no explanation. I called my card company and they stated there was no problem and the charge went through.
Apparently, this company likes to collect your money for its own use and then at some point will issue a credit.
They provide a link to access their Customer service team, but that is a black hole. I am hoping I don't have to do a charge back with Chase over this. Order number CNPZD7DM6K5.

There was no email as mentioned in the reply in the inbox, Spam or trash.

If there were 1/2 a star, this company would get it. Thrift Books had an offer that was perfect for me. Buy an e-gift card each for $25 minimum. I ordered two e-cards for myself using a credit card without a balance and a hefty amount of credit. The order went through and immediately the next email was a rejection.
I tried again with a different credit card, with and without a VPN on, using PayPal and finally using my husband's laptop and his credit card. All sold and all rejected with the same form letter.
After complaining to Thrift Books, they provided the URL for CashStar customer service. I wrote them without a response. The promotion is over.

I wish I could give CashStar zero stars. I bought a $300 gift card, and it’s been way past 3 business days, and I still haven’t received anything. Their site says “delivery within a few hours,” but that’s clearly not true. I’ve checked my email, spam folder, everything — nothing.

I’ve tried reaching out to customer support, and they’re either super slow or don’t help at all. For the amount of money I spent, this is completely unacceptable. I just want my card or my money back. This has been such a frustrating experience — never using CashStar again.

Most likely a scam

I’ve decided to order a $300 dollar Roblox gift card with my debit card and apparently it didn’t go through. I've been waiting for my refund as it says for 48 hours as my money is pending and this feels like some sort of scam, if i don’t get my card or money back I’m gonna have to report this as fraudulent please don’t use this site they also don’t respond to ur support request. If you want more details I can provide the proof of my back and forth process as my card provide says they can’t do anything about it.
Update - again they just told me to buy another one or wait 1 to 2 days which ive already done.

I accidentally ordered a physical gift…

I accidentally ordered a physical gift card and tried to cancel it within 30 minutes or placing the order. After contacting customer service, I was told that it was non refundable because there is a potential for fraud. How can you not cancel the order? There was no way that that I could have received the card.

I contacted them again and they did that according to their terms and conditions, gift cards are non refundable.

This is unacceptable, the company 100% could have refunded my money before the card shipped. It is a deceptive and malicious act.

I will be contacting Oura ring, and American Express customer service.

CashStar sent me an email saying that they would like to help me. I emailed them two days ago and have yet to hear anything back. Seems like they wanted to save face and put in hear that they “were working towards a solution”. Still haven’t gotten my money back.

terrible. give me my refund. I spent 300 USD to give my little sister headless on roblox for a suprise and now I am left -$300 for no reason, I lost my money, and I want it back. I’ve contacted support and called twice and they said i’ll get a refund in 24-48 hours. Bought two gift cards on roblux.cashstar.com. The site showed an error after payment. Tried again with another credit card: same error -but the money was still taken from my account, for both purchases.
I received nothing, no gift card, no confirmation, and customer service is completely unreachable.
This site is fraudulent and not trustworthy. Avoid it at all costs! I have lost my money and there is no way to get a refund.

similar to john's review, i also bought a 300 dollar giftcard for a friend and they claimed they would refund my purchase, it's been almost 48hrs and still no sign of a refund, they also did not get back to my when i emailed them about the incident, i have bought from them before and have had zero issue so i'm a little confused as to why it's now beginning to cause trouble, they'll probably reply with the same copy paste response they give everyone anyway

if this matter is resolved quickly i will be updating this review!

(edit 15/10/2025) my bank gave me a refund then took it off me an hour later (?), still have not received payment but I will update if this changes!

I ordered a PlayStation gift card then it said payment error and declined yet my card was charged for $310 but I never got a card or email. Then I tried again with a different credit card for $310 thinking it was rejected by my bank and the same message saying declined happened and the page refreshed but my card was charged again. I am out $620 with no gift cards. What am I supposed to do? I just want a refund of my money and to move on. If the company can refund that would be a large improvement for customer service.

Scammed out of $300

I bought a $300 roblox gift card on the 9th of October. To my surprise, the order was unable to be processed and was now being issued back as a refund. Well, it's been close to 24 hours with no refund, and I do understand that the wait time is said to be from 24 to 48 hours, but reading reviews on other sites leads me to believe that the money can be refunded almost immediately rather than having to wait for so long. Is this some sort of investment fraud? My little brother keeps crying to me about when he can get his robux, and as it is, he won't be able to. Please refund this order ASAP.

I bought a 25 dollar gift card and it said payment declined 3 times but still took my money? 🤣 Its a scam ts so annoying im in the military too so I'm not getting paid next week. Need this gift card to pay for my account to get unbanned please respond cashstar. Already put in a email and got no response after a couple days.

OPLICHTERS VOOR PLAYSTATION

Ik heb een Playstation giftcard gekocht en zij gebruiken Cashstar, nu heb ik een code gekregen die niet werkt en ben ik voor 60 euro opgelicht. Ik ben al 4 maanden in contact met Cashstar en Playstation en kreeg de eerste 3 maanden te horen 'oh wat vervelend, dit kan makkelijk worden opgelost! maar wel via hen en niet ons' en dat zeiden beiden partijen over elkaar. Heb wel 10 keer gehoord hoe het 'nu intern geëscaleerd is en per direct zou worden opgelost'. Tot ze na 3 maanden het lef hadden om te zeggen "de aankoop is te lang geleden dus u heeft geen recht meer op een terugbetaling, de case wordt gesloten". Ik heb net Playstation gebeld om aan te geven dat ik ze formeel ga aanklagen en nu is het weer "intern geëscaleerd". GEEN PLAYSTATION GIFTCARDS KOPEN DUS!!
