I had issues updating my CarliKit and asked Customer Support for the image files to flash the device myself. The representative Coco got back to me extremely quickly and provided me with the nessisary files and instructions to safely flash my device. Everything works perfectly now.

I purchased a Carlinkit Tbox Ambient a year ago. I ended up having some trouble with it, so I contacted their support for assistance. They were responsive, and we troubleshot the issue but were unable to come to a solution. They suggested that I return the unit so they could troubleshoot it and find the issue or replace it. The device would need to be sent back to China. I requested a refund because I didn't want to be without a device for weeks while they were trying to fix mine. They provided me with the instructions for return, which I followed precisely. They specifically told me to value the device at $15. I shipped the unit back exactly how they asked. This is where everything fell apart. I provided the tracking and remained in contact with my support representative while the device was in transit. They refused to refund my money until they received the device. The device stopped moving in Chile on 06/2025. I contacted my support representative, who informed me that they wouldn't refund my money because they hadn't received the device. They offered me a 40% discount on a new device, to which I said was not an acceptable solution. They told me to file a claim. I responded and told them that I wouldn't get the true value of the lost device because they had me declare the value at $15. They acknowledged my refusal of a discount and said we should continue to monitor the tracking. That is the last I heard from them. I have all the email correspondences and USPS receipts, and I am out $160 (updated price... I originally posted the incorrect price), which includes the cost to ship it back ($20) plus the device.
Absolutely terrible customer service!
***Update 02/01/2026***
After more back and forth with their support team, going as far as to say that they " were disappointed and concerned to learn that you left negative reviews and misleading comments," they concluded their latest email with me by saying the "only solution" they can offer is for me to pay them $120 and they will send me another Tbox USB 8+128G. Not only will they still not settle this amicably, but they also want me to spend more money with them!

I had purchased tbox UHD. I am very happy with the purchase. Also, special thanks to Rita from the support team. She had always been there to respond to queries and provide support and guidance. I highly recommend product and services. Thank you.
1. Purchase of a Carlinkit TBOX 256 Giga Ultra at the Carlinkit store.
2. Issues that occured immediatly after first day of use (one day after purchase): loss of gps signal, loss of Bluetooth signal, freezing during use, black screen at start up.
3. Took the time to resolve the issue: contact with Carlinkit supoort without result (latest firmware update, reset, etc. as classic advises), took the time to have my multimidia unit in the car checked (was OK), use the TBOX with several other smartphones to exclude my phone as cause of dects --- all this without any result.
Final conclusion: device useless, hardware issue due to fabrication, asked Carlinkit to return the device and refund the purchase amount.
Answer of Carlinkit: too late; device had to be returned within 7 days. How can you exclude defects of own devices in such a period looking for a solution. Carlinkit could offer no assistance but since the firmware installed, was the latest and I have tried several restorer to factory settings.
After weeks of discussion, I received a refund of 40 dollar while I bought a device of over 200 dollar + shipment costst.
Final result: worhtless device only used for 3 week with lots of frustration (have trown it aways), lost 160 dollar that I could have flushed in the toilet as well ...
So avoid Carlinkit and buy devices only at sites as Amazon where you are entitled for a 30day refund period.

EDIT / UPDATE: I'd like to react at the comment of Carlinkit. I did buy my product at the official Carlinkit Store. As proof of my statement, I shall try to upoad a screenshot of my purchase at their official store.

I am a user of carlinkit product in Japan, I have the issue of AutoKit(wireless Carplay).
The connection was not good, it have cut out once every 5 minutes.
But the customer support in charge(name is Coco) told me you should change AP frequency 5.0Ghz to 2.4Ghz.
And then, The problem is completely sorved.

I was having a persistent issue with my SLM62 AI box after a firmware update—a QR code for activation wouldn't disappear, even though the CarKit app showed the device as 'already activated.' Coco was very responsive and persistent in helping me. When the initial troubleshooting step didn't resolve the problem, she immediately had their engineers remotely activate my box.
After their intervention, the QR code disappeared, and the device is now working perfectly. Thank you, Coco, for your great assistance and dedication to resolving my problem quickly!

I bought a Carlinkit in 2023. They certainly know how to convince people to buy their product, but after almost three years the device has only gone from completely bad to mediocre. I’ve reported detailed issues to Carlinkit several times. In the beginning they offered some workarounds and had me tinker with various technical settings.
Now the device has completely stopped receiving updates, and many bugs still haven’t been resolved. They don’t even bother replying to emails anymore.
