Cardiff Bus Omdömen 

Driver 3687 on route 29, vehicle number 542, didn't have to wait as I was running to try and catch it after my connecting bus was running 10 minutes late and we hit every red light. Thankfully he did, I'm so grateful for such a kind thoughtful driver. Thank you very much.

Me and one other passanger are at the new bus station interchange waiting for the 13. It arrives and then we are left waiting for the bus driver to get back on the bus letting us get on. The bus driver arrives and is chatting with another worker (within 2ft of the other passenger and me) and gets on the bus and fully drives off. Considering there was only like 5 people in the interchabge and the only 2 customers were sitting directly infrount of the bus he should've said that we were able to get on the bus, since most of the time bus drivers get on the bus for like 2 minutes faf around then open the doors to let passengers on. He nor the other worker let us know that we could get on when we were clearly waiting for the bus, even a little acknowledgement of a simple 'hey' or wave while he was in the bus seat would've signified to us that we could get on. I'm more so just appaled that it was on a late night on the second day it opened when people are clearly new to the bus station and aren't sure how it works. Like imagine if it was someone disabled or older who couldn't hear or see very well and the bus just completely drives off without saying a word. Me and the other passenger looked at eachother in disbelief as we just witnessed the bus drive off without saying anything. Then the other worker who the driver was talking to was talking about the doors and how their automatic - (probably thinking that since they werent open in frount of us it meant that we didn't know to get on - not what i was concerend about since i saw the driver walk through them) - but i couldn't be bothered to agrue/talk to him because of the absolute shock and disbelief i went through of the bus driver acting like we weren't there on the second day of opening when people are not sure of what to do. I was truely disappointed considering i use the busses all of the time for work and lesiure but was just so appaled and shocked of the ignoring of passengers sitting directly in frount of the bus waiting for an indication that we could go on.

Only use is for local services!!! OK if you can afford the train.

Biggest deterant since the Rwanda Policy 😏not quite the scale of expense, however about the same level of usefulness.

Yet again a bus not appearing. The 10.25am from BALL LANE.
And the 19.45 number 50 from Ball Lane this evening.
Carers relay on buses to get to calls.
Well done Cardiff bus, yet again passangers no served.

This company is beyond a joke, the bus didn’t only just go one way but I was charged 2.40 for 3 stops away that being said i think is absolutely disgusting, especially when you have young children, i wasent composited anything back. Lower your prices!! And sort your drivers out

We take the bus often, and we're very impressed again with the driver Tom 6148, he always is polite and extremely helpful, and always goes the extra mile for all his passengers, one example a young mother, struggling with a child a baby in a pram, plus a scooter, he helped her off, but impressively, with no hold ups, in fact it was quicker than if she had struggled without his help. Again an extremely nice person, wouldn't it be nice if all the bus drivers were the same, it doesn't cost anything to be polite, and kind, but it sure goes a long way, and has a knock on effect.

I approached the bus stop on Custom House street and could see a C1 parked up beyond it. I couldn’t see anyone on but it was a little way down road the driver was outside having a vape break which was fine. I respected his time to himself as it must be hard to get a rest. However when he finished he got on bus and I signalled from bus stop stepping out so he could clearly see me but he didn’t move along stop but drove straight out into the traffic, leaving me and an elderly lady stranded. He even shrugged and frowned at us as if we’d done something wrong. We only gave him headspace! So rude. I then noticed some people on back of bus, so they probably got on without getting tickets I can only presume, before we arrived, as bus driver was outside all time and we waited probably 7 mins in the vape break. It was 25 mins till next bus. Does kindness pay??

Got to the stop with plenty of time, watching bus on the map, and it turned the way, 58 took 57 route, now stranded, outstanding service

Thank you to all the drivers who are consistently kind. When I have boarded the bus using my crutches the bus drivers always wait till I have taken my seat. They really are very thoughtful and I really appreciate this, once again thank you.

Had incident where a bus pulled out of a bus stop onto my van the bus did not hit my van but the driver give me a mouthful of abuse so I reported him to cardiff bus. A few months later I park up by the museum in cardiff town centre as I'm walking away from my van I see a guy looking around my van so I go upto him and ask what the hell is he doing I recognised him as the bus driver that I reported a few months ago. So if you do report a driver to Cardiff bus be prepared that they will follow you and take matters into there own hands.

Waited almost an hour for the bus to drive straight past as I stood with my arm out for the second time today. 12:55 96 to barry driver looked directly at me. Missed my appointments.

Cardiff Bus "Service" should be re-named "Dis-service" regarding what they actually deliver! This Company are appalling and outrageous to it, s customers for whom they have no thoughts in what they decide to do operationally. For the umpteenth time, myself, a pensioner and fellow pensioners and psssengers were left in the freezing cold for almost two hours in Thornhill with the so called 27 "service" inbound from Camelot Way /Excalibur Drive . A 27 came up and instead of returning for the inbound pick ups, just continued down Thornhill Road, not its route, before resuming to pick up passsengers from the Nine Giants. All of the passengers along the inbound route in Thornhill and Llanishen were simply totally ignored. This was followed after half an hours further waiting by another 27 coming up "Not in Service" which was followed after another 45mins wait by a third 27 "Returning to Depot". Many of the frustrated passengers including myself had no alternative but to scrap their plans and return home, many in a frozen condition. This was not an isolated occasion (Friday 12th January, 18.15-20.00) but a practice repeatedly undertaken by Cardiff Bus on this route and I am informed on many others likewise. Cardiff Bus are a disgrace.

This company is getting worse and worse. Increasing their prices, poor frequency of buses, rubbish service overall. They have taken out a lot of morning buses which are used by working people to get to their workplace like bus 2 and 63. If we people don't work, the Cardiff bus management can't s-h-*-t.

Having enjoyed the efficient public transport in London for two decades, the stark contrast in Cardiff is disheartening. The bus service is consistently unreliable, with waits exceeding an hour, and a notable discrepancy between the scheduled and actual arrivals. This not only inconveniences residents but is especially concerning for the elderly. There's a pressing need for a significant overhaul in senior management to address and rectify this decline. Never in the 80s and 90s was Cardiff bus services run like this always reliable back then???

The timetables on nearly every around RCT are meaningless. It is nearly impossible to plan a trip using the buses as the timetables at the stops and online are useless. Either leave hours before you need to be at your destination or risk being late.
I get traffic can be an issue but this is not acceptable. My single star goes to the drivers. The majority are very pleasant.

Honestly, if I could give this bus company 0 stars I would. Got 2 buses front to back of each other, been waiting for an hour for 1 bus and the one that should have came back has taking a route that isn't even scheduled in their app. Completely missing 30mins walk worth of area which doesn't have any temporary lights or traffic.
How is this acceptable?
Who are they hiring?
What the actually hell is happening?

There's no information saying the route has changed in their website or app.

And no, this wasn't the first that I've experienced this.

DISPICABLE!!! Been waiting for a bus for ages in freezing time!. It arrived, but had a sign Set Down Only! WHY??????!!! Didn't take me in! A single person!! IT WASN'T FULL OR ANYTHING!

Useless. Waiting neatly an hour for a bus. Nothing can be done. They are not accountable. You complain in writing and they fabricate the truth with lies. Blaming traffic, busy periods but never explaining why busses are pulled or re routed, leaving you stranded for an hour

Regularly wait half an hour to an hour for the next bus when one is cancelled. The bus stop screens will say bus due and none turns up.
Prices go up and service gets worse.
I would expect better bus service than this in a rural area, let alone a capital city. It's a disgrace!
If you have no alternative to buses, better allow two hours to travel five miles.
