Cardiff Bus Omdömen 

We had an incredible experience today. We had our lovely bus driver Caroline from the Cardiff bay number 6 bus, we saw her from 1pm to 4pm and we could not be more thankful as she was so lovely and helpful throughout our ride. I hope she knows how lovely she is and she is one of Cardiff’s wonderful gems. - from

I love Cardiff Bus always on time and fast.

If I could give a zero I would. Dreadful service. Third time in a matter of days I've waiting for two buses that were due. 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 minute.... Then disappears from the screen. No bus. The lack of a bus is bad enough but this is wasting people's time by offering the illusion of a bus! Just appalling.

The bus is constantly cancelled and never shows up on time. As someone who gets the bus to and from school daily, it is just completely unacceptable. It constantly makes me late.

I caught the number 2 service at 13.10pm yesterday, 20th August. The bus number was 105. I just wanted to say that in all my 62 years, I have never had a driver who actually apologised for the bus being slightly late, due to heavy traffic on Rover Way. Didn't get the driver's name but he was so pleasant and lovely with all passengers.

How can I wait up to an hour for a bus that serves the local area of Roath. Tramorfa and Splott? This is not a wealthy area and yet the bus service has been poor for as long as I have lived here - 5 years. Often late, Often cancelled..not that passengers would know...the app. does not indicate if a service is cancelled.
For a capital city this is an amazingly unsatisfactory service.

I have been using Cardiff bus for about 16 years, the drivers are excellent with many going beyond to help people. The problem is he new busses in the Penarth areas. They are an accident waiting to happen. Many elderly and disable people are regular users. The seating arrangements are totally inadequate. Only one seat suitable..the fold down seats are useless, people can’t get up as there is nothing to hold onto. Far too many steps. These buses may be ok for around Cardiff but not in this area. Please consider elderly passengers and reinstate the older buses in this area. This not just my opinion…..so many people are very nervous about safety. Someone has already written to the south Wales is echo with his concerns. I would be happy to show someone the problems if needed. Thank you. Jennifer Todd,

What a terrible introduction to Cardiff after the Metallica gig. No info online about where to get buses from during the road closures. Asked every driver we could find and they all just said 'I don't know, nothing to do with me' then drove off. It's great that we're getting some world-class bands to perform in Wales, but Cardiff Bus ruin visitors' impression of Cardiff every time.

Have travelled all over UK but there is no other bus company worse than Cardiff Bus. 20k population in Grangetown and the oldest in the fleet clapped out infrequent buses which often breakdown, often not running ...no reason supplied....never to time table, freezing cold in the winter, broken displays, sometimes even incorrect displays, no wi fi charging, On the 9 mobiles are always blaring, people exchanging extremely loud conversations on phones, huge amounts of shopping on seats preventing people sitting down. Shoes on seats. Most other services are good, but Cardiff Bus overtly massively discrimate Grangetown and have proven this in supplying the Vale who already had a brilliant service and newer buses with a state of the art brand new fleet. This has actually been the case for more than a decade. The council keeps adding to the population and Cardiff Bus make the service less frequent.

Been waiting for the 57 for what seems like a week. You carnt treat people like this. You carnt cancel a bus or Refuse to pick up someone because you want a bus in quicker. This is my only transports I finished work an hour ago. And I still have another 15minures to wait if that’s not cancelled. Such a disgrace

One of the worst bus companies I have ever experienced, absolutely terrible, never on time and the one time the service I was waiting for never showed up casing me to miss my train. I emailed them about this and they never got back to me. Drivers are never on time. If I could I’d shut down Cardiff bus all together because they are a shocking service and there wouldn’t be much difference if they were operating either way.

Shit service. Always cancelling advertised routes.

Buses 44, 45 usually gets cancelled very often without warnings, the buses are always packed, struggling to find a space in it but they won’t run double deckers, disappointing , Friday night there is a bus from the city center at 22:00 then next one is about 23:15 which means more than an hour waiting for a bus , there are people like me working late shifts

What a shambolic bus service.
We need private bus companies to come and take over this council run bus service.

Got the bus from city centre to sainsburys in lisvane. But ended up beknf abandoned 15 min walk away at 20.10 in the dark, cold and wet whole obvs unwell and in pain onli with a direction of down there turn left sainsburys is up there abkut 15 min walk but yet the bus stops outside sainsburys

I was expecting a delivery this morning so I went to catch the 57/58 service to pick up my medication from the pharmacy, catching the bus at 8.37 would have got me there in time and get back home for my delivery. No sign of the 8.37 service, nor the next bus at 8.52. I’ve had to come home to make sure I don’t miss my delivery and this has disrupted my whole day. While I was waiting, however, five buses went past in the opposite direction. Thanks, Cardiff Bus

The Tap On, Tap Off system requires urgent reassessment, as it is frequently inoperative and consistently results in passengers being overcharged due to technical faults. I strongly advise customers to review their bank statements, as the device often fails to register card taps or powers down unexpectedly, leading to unintended additional charges. It is deeply concerning that Cardiff Bus continues to benefit financially from these malfunctions, despite being fully aware of the ongoing issues. I suspect this is neither the first nor the last instance in which passengers will raise complaints regarding the reliability of this system
