Dangerously incompetent liars
I had a PIP assessment booked on 2nd July.
I've claimed based on having multiple mental health issues and autism. The line disconnected to signal issues whilst the advisor was asking me about whether I have suicidal thoughts/make attempts to commit suicide. Although I told her I frequently have suicidal thoughts, at no time did I say anything that indicated that I was suicidal during the call. Instead of trying to call me back, the advisor took it upon herself to call for an ambulance. Bear in mind here that there were issues with the line throughout the call, so it was blatantly obvious that there were issues. I then received a call from West Midlands Ambulance Service advising they had dispatched an ambulance to me - I told the ambulance operator that this wasn't necessary and she said she would cancel the ambulance. Unfortunately, this didn't reach the ambulance crew before they arrived (I'm in the East Midlands, so this would have had to percolate from WMAS to EMAS).
Shortly after the EMAS crew left, I received a call from a GP, who I had to spend several minutes trying to convince that I didn't need to be admitted to the mental health ward.
I've been advised that the correct, responsible thing to do would have been to contact my local Community Mental Health Team, who would have been able to assist.
As you can imagine, this caused a significant amount of destress and took several days to battle back from, not to mention the extra, unnecessary work (and fuel) expended by WMAS, EMAS, and my GP surgery.
As I hadn't heard anything from Capita following this ridiculous experience, I called today to chase the rearranged appointment. I was then told there was insufficient evidence that I am eligible for PIP based on my submission and that I didn't warrant further assessment, so this has been returned to the DWP with the suggestion that I submit further evidence/information or that the claim is declined. This is despite submitting a thorough, detailed report from a psychiatrist explaining that I need significant assistance going forwards, and despite having previously been booked for an assessment.
Shockingly bad company
Shockingly bad company. They manage my HJ Heinz Company pension. I've had to take them to court 3 times now. Each time I have won, but these people simply do not learn.
Maybe they should stick to persecuting old ladies for the BBC tv licence.
Stay away from this pension scheme
I have started the process of combining pension pots from different pension providers.
I traced a pot I had with Capita Wincanton PLC, I contacted them to find out how much money I had in the pot and the response it was that I had lost the money I had, the reason given was that I had lost it because I didn't transfer the balance to a different pension scheme which I had tried in the past, but it was not possible.
I wonder if this practice is even legal an how many people may have got their money taken by this company

Should be zero stars trying to draw my pension down it's taking 3 months they fob you off with so many excuses, I was even told keep phoning we put you to back of list , I get different dates when im being paid , they said I have to wait for payroll whats payroll got to do with my pension , the people arenot trained, they are so awful if you have your pension with these get it out now incompetence on another scale

Absolutely useless! I speak to someone different every time, each one has fobbed me off with a load of lies! Opted out of the works pension, they are still taking the money out! Now they are saying I’m not opted out! I have all the paperwork to prove I am!!
Not fit to practice...
Capita has just put my daughter through two years of hell. She lost her PIP due to incompetentcy and falsification of the facts. Apparently, the assessor couldn't remember my daughters case and therefore wasn't held responsible for her unprofessionalism. The person should lose her HCPC registration. My gaughter was however offered money for her inconvenience.
We had the tribunal today and won. CAPITA should have the contract taken off them. Something needs to change, people need to come together and make the DWP listen...Do these people not realise the impact their decisions make on people's lives. My daughter has had a disability since she was eight and due to a supposed health care professional who had no understanding of the condition was intimidated, embarrassed and ashamed. Shame on you Capita
Appalling Company
I applied for a job located in Chelmsford, I live in Chelmsford. I received a response from my application that my location wasn't suitable!!!! You can't speak to anyone either. Absolutely appalling service. They have got ot completely wrong.

Pension loses 48% in 3 years after moving to CAPITA
My company pension was transferred to CAPITA to manage in 2021. Since then my CETV (pot) has gone from £112,000 down to £61,000. I find this remarkable and unbelievable that a company that handles so many pensions is allowed to "lose" this amount of money without check.
As a side note: I see that this is common as the rating here also shows. What can be done about them?

Is this some kind of a joke? U cannot log in ,they ask are u a robot ? Lets say y65gt example,,u put exactly the letter and digits,and not reconinise they ask u to reset your password as to many attempts ,u get the password and is not reconize,u phone customer service to get a letter ,they cannot do this for privacy, this is a massive scam ! Immagine u get older and you rely on this pension ,,and u are not as smart as now,,they will make your money desapear,,do not trust this people,,

They despise customers.
Trying to register for online portal for my pension information. There is a fault that they have known about for days and not fixed. You correctly fill in multiple questions including communication preferences but when you press “submit” it insists you answer the communication preference question. And deletes lots of answers you’ve already given. A call to the company I worked for confirms this problem is the same for others trying to register. But Capita don’t give a damn. They are paid to administer my pension but I cannot access any of the details about payments. Another giant stinking capitalist monster that doesn’t give two hoots about customers. Shameful!
They won't communicate at all
My pension was transferred to Capita and they keep posting me information of happy, prosperous minorities enjoying their financial benefits. However, whenever I try to access my pension information using their portal, all my login attempts are rejected, and when I contact them explaining the issue, they simply send another password and PIN that don't work. No human seems to be involved in the communication with them. It's a Kafkaesque world at Capita!

Them and the DWP are a farce, they send you a complete booklet to fill out, they don't even read them, I know this because the form was filled out by a welfare officer, who stated on my husband form, he was nit to have a phone assessment but a face to face
Guess what? Yes, they phoned him for a telephone assessment, how can you asses somebody over a telephone call, what a complete farce, a con, they tell you that you should be having PIP, then they make you go through all of this, to stop you claiming, its like giving you something in your right hand to swap to the left, so it is taken away, demoralising, depressing upsetting and stressful, is there any wonder there are so many suicides, maybe that is the aim of the government, one less claiment gone and the appointment, by a so called health professional, it can be anyone, even somebody that have worked briefly in a chemist

If i could give no stars i would.My brother sadly passed away suddenly in september 2024 he had a pension with capita and we are now in february 2025 and its still not resolved.
It is not acceptable to treat a grieving family if a sudden death like they have.I have wrote several emails several phone call and still got no where.I get told letter in post it does not arrive i get told i be called back i do not get a call back.These people are criminals and hold on to peoples money thats paid in that does not belong to them!My brother also had another pension with people pension and that was resolved in a couple of weeks.I have now exculated this to the pension obudsman.Its cause so much stress and upset.My family would like closure and they just do not care.Stay clear everyone!!!
