I have been trying to get my Hanson Industrial Pension moved since from Capita after retiring in June. I am no further forward my financial advisor says Capita are the worst company he has had to deal with

My goodness, what an absolute mess!!!! Waiting on the phone for 45 mins at a time to speak to someone who couldn't validate my details as I couldn't tell them the date in which I last received a letter from them....They've not taken my health seriously, they've left me in a position which I cnt cope with! I actually put capita into YouTube (to see if any other poor souls had had to put up with the incompetence) and all I can find was a chap called Adolph H sat in an expensive suit, in a skyscraper boasting about how he runs his £2.4 BILLION business!!! People are committing suicide because of Capitas incompetence!!

I had to call CAPITA for a needs assessment for DSA. (Disabled Student Allowance)

The man on the phone was very impatient and rude when I needed less than a minute for to get my national insurance number up.

He told me Capita don't handle DSA needs assessment (false) and then hung up on me when I was mid sentence.

He seemed irritated by my minor stutter.

Capita have cancelled my uncles pension without any reason. My uncle is 86 with dimentia and resides in care, not paid now for 5 months, despite my best efforts and providing all info they could not care about the effect on. Vulnerable adult even after been made aware - can't even be arsed to return calls, and make raising complaint almost impossible... advice please on my legal rights...

Absolute disgrace. Capita is a sub-human "company". PIP assessor from Africa had zero empathy. I'm a veteran. Have loads of issues. None acknowledged. Disgusting company. Disgusting directive from Labour. Shame on them. Shame on Keir Starmer. Worst PM in history. Fact.

1.1!!!! A minimum of 4.6 is needed but barely adaquate. This 1.1 is criminal.
In this case its when it comes to draw your pension from Capita, they have sidelined that business to hartlinkonline on behalf of the old meat and livestock commission pension scheme. Initally it was said that it was a good pension but after the disbanding of the commission the pension was thrown around from billy to jack as no one wanted it and subsequently the funds have losing their inital value considerably to this mismanagement. You'll soon find out their discrimination, their staff's lack of correct use of the english language simply because their people are not from this part of the world, and their avoidance of answering direct questions and talk about something totally unrelated. The hartlinkonline website is appalling. They have all sorts of stupid and un-understandable methods of locating their communication/s which is totally unnecessary.
They claim to be regulated by some gov body, it seems that regulation does not include timely distibution of your funds because it took 6 months to get it off them.
I'll have to find a good pension company to handle my pensions now.
Personally I have always felt that pensions both private and otherwise are an enormous fraud. My experiance at the drawing of my pension is precisely the same. I have advised my children to save their money in instant accessable accounts and not in any fund gov private or anything else including isa's. All of them are targets for massive misbehaviour.

CAPITA ARE USUALLY JUST COST CUTTER FOR SOMEONE ELSE DWP USE THEM IF DEALING WITH CAPITA KEEP RECORDEDING OF EVERY THING THEY SAY TO YOU EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO KEEP RECORDS FOR THEIR INTERACTIONS I WOULD STAY WELL CLEAR OF THESE UNDERHANDED PEOPLE

You are supposed to be dealing with Royal London but you get palmed off to Capita who are a bunch of noname jobsworths who never respond with a name you can stay in touch with. And you spend years waiting for a reply - literally - they never know what they are doing and are never accountable for their dire mismanagement.

As a retired Headteacher I would have been dismissed if I ran my school with the same failings in communication that exist in administering the TPS. Despite numerous complaints regarding transional payment adjustments, which are now one year overdue, and promises by operatives of recalculated options imminent, I'm still out of pocket. I fully sympathise with those teachers actually waiting for payments which make retired monthly budgets work.

I'm moving complaints up the regulatory structure.

What a group of jokers they haven't got a clue trying to cash my pension in what a joke it is and to make it worse they now go through a third party legal and general and just keep saying it's a third party we can't rush it through been waiting 2months just to get a valuation I know they were shoking before just read the reviews but now you must have to start the process 2 to 3years before you want to retire why do reputable companies use these idiots must be really cheap or something because they are hopeless

Under the law, if you record someone’s voice you have to inform them from the outset you are doing so, otherwise it is inadmissible as evidence. When I informed the Capita employee that I was recording him, he refused to talk to me, although he did not tell me that he was recording our conversation. However, when I redialled the number and a lady answered, I did not record the conversation. At the end of the phone call, I told her not to destroy the recording she was making of me, as GDPR rules specify that if I request a copy of our conversation, it must be available to me. Because of what she had said, three hours later I was paid out in full. Below are the salient points of the legislation, and I advise you to exercise your human rights when dealing with this company.
GDPR rules only apply to a company or organisation, not an individual. Recording calls in the UK is legal, but if you’re storing or using the data, GDPR kicks in with strict rules about consent and data handling.
Failing to follow the rules can cost a company big time. The ICO can issue fines up to £17.5 million or 4% of annual turnover.
When call recordings involve personal data, names, addresses, opinions, or anything identifiable, GDPR kicks in. Under the Data Protection Act 2018, which incorporates GDPR into UK law post-Brexit, businesses must have a lawful basis for recording, like consent or legitimate interest.

This company is incompetent and unfit for working with Dsa allowance/needs assessments.

How are they still in business!!

Was on the phone to a “Chris” this morning at Capita who was that professional was listening to the radio whilst I was talking to him on the phone. This process after 22 week battle still hasn't been completed for a transfer out request to my own private pension pot for consolidation purposes. If people ever wanted money urgently this would be a major major problem. All you get is passed round from pillar to post, there isn't any ownership whatsoever. Bare in mind Capita completed a similar process some 18 months earlier doing the exact same principle to my Prudential Account, a well known market leader in this sector and not some foreign offshore company!! All you do is chase chase chase them constantly. Understand there are processes in place to protect your own interest which is good, but is there an underlying reason for this in keeping money back for interest purposes? This company is nothing but an utter shambles please please keep well away. Why companies do not carry out a full due diligence before engaging business must be cost and nothing more!!

I'll try to write this without any expletives. This is a terrible company, their communication is shockingly bad and it's one business that would genuinely benefit from AI making their employees redundant and without a job, better yet the company just goes under. I've been trying to consolidate a pension for weeks now and I've had one passive aggressive and rude response from their team. This is the most tedious customer service I have ever had to deal with. Why on earth are businesses using you? There are far better alternatives. To the chap who replied to me in your poor tone, I genuinely hope you lose your job to AI.

Update: I've been trying for almost 2 months to transfer my pension out and they're gatekeeping the entire process behind genuine lies. They're claiming my signatures don't match and addresses don't match which is completely false. Capita are essentially practicing the very same "dark patterns" that large companies have had legal action against for.

Their admin is appalling. I'm an executor and was frequently asked for information and documents they had, they misquoted the deceased's name in correspondence, and finally misplaced the refund of the pension payment I sent to them. If any pension scheme is thinking of getting this company to manage theirs, then my advice would be to avoid unless you welcome reputational risk.

Been trying to encash a small lump sum frozen pension that this shower administer on behalf of a well known ex employer.
Everything is so protracted and takes so long. From getting figures. The piles of paperwork you have to complete. They want original ID documents or certified copies. Even had to supply my wife's original birth certificate and our marriage certificate! Why both surely a marriage certificate proves she was born!!I
Even when they have all the paperwork you then go weeks not hearing or receiving anything. Phone them you get a mass of excuses, are told they will process payments asap, then hear nothing and they just hold onto my funds. Awful shocking service, they clearly want to sit on people's money as long as possible. Latest is they on pay on their payroll date. What's their payroll date got to do with my pension? But they won't confirm when it might be paid on what date, but confirm they have all the paperwork. How can the get away with this, it's like fraud on a mass scale.
My wife recently encased a small Nest pension that she received in one week, but 2 months in I am still waiting for capita to act.

C(r0apita are the service provider to Barnet council to ensure that Disability blue badge renewals are as impossible to negotiate as possible. Broken links, inability to work with any browser they don't like...bureaucracy combined with dedicated ineptitude...

I'd give no stars if I could! My PIP assessor could barely speak during my assessment which I asked to be recorded & what a suprise, it wasn't!
She told me that the PIP questions are silly & lied about what I'd said. I was 2 points off last year, my health has got a lot worse, yet I've been given 0 points. Absolute joke!

As working on behalf of Ovo Energy and Southern Water I refuse to have anything further to do with these crooks. Unfortunately the directors Corrine Ripoche, (French), Claire Denton, Adolfo Hernandez etc are ingratiating themselves with DWP, HMRC and various other British organisations and look likely to win more service contracts and provide more disgustingly terrible customer service,namely shameless lies and bullying to end-user customers.

Awful company, I was promised a laptop, but what they did was, they took the specs of my existing one, and said they'd get me another. What is the point of providing me with a laptop I already have? A waste of money!! They didn't reply to me after I asked this question, said I want ot complian, just got an email confirming a complaint had been made, through their own company, not independently.
