Pre-booked a cab, no cab turned up. Couldn't speak to anybody, just an automated message. Then somebody called & said they couldn't find a cab. He then put the phone down & cancelled the booking. Luck... Se mer

Absolutely hopeless, let me down badly with pre booked trip to station so subsequently missed the train. Would suggest any other company before this one.

Shocking service! …
I booked an airport transfer a week ago, they cancelled with less than 24hrs notice. When I called to ask why my booking has been cancelled, they said they didn’t have any drivers. I ask what I should do and they said to ask one of their competitors! Had I of known I would of booked a competitor days ago!! Not happy. Dreadful service!
Aggressive, rude and intimidating driver
I booked a taxi which I was told would arrive in 20 minutes. In fact it took an hour. I had booked the taxi and explained that I was going to rescue a hamster and checked that this will be okay with the driver and was told yes. When the taxi arrived, I had an empty cardboard box with me with the intention of putting the hamster cage in it so that I would not cause any damage or spillage in the taxi. However the taxi driver became very rude, intimidating, and aggressive towards me and told me I could not put a cardboard box on his seat in case I scratch it. I explained that it was simply an empty cardboard box and that I would be collecting an animal and had got permission for this in advance and he was furious.
I told him I can’t possibly put a live animal in the boot of a car.
In the end I told him just to go and I went back in my house because I felt too intimidated and scared to get in the car with him.
As someone who works in my free time at rescuing and rehoming animals I find this attitude completely appalling. I doubt he would treat a man like that but is happy to intimidate a woman in that way - it’s just not at all acceptable. I did no damage to his car at all and I did nothing wrong and I did not deserve to be spoken to like this. When I rang up to complain, the operator apologised and then hung up on me. Disgraceful service and I would recommend that you use Panther Taxis instead. They have pet friendly drivers and we’re very accommodating.

Booked a taxi to the airport for 4:30 am, 3 days in advance, and confirmed with CamCabs the day before.
CamCabs rang at 4:28 for about 3 seconds so couldn’t answer the phone in time, and I couldn’t get through when I tried calling them back. At 4:45 they called again, and told me that there was no taxi as the one ordered had “broken down”. They were very rude on the phone, no apology, no attempt at sending another driver- they even complained that I hadn’t been answering their calls, even though I only had one call from them! We ended up getting an Uber, and almost missed our flight.
Extremely poor service, would never ever recommend this taxi company.
Excellent service-highly recommend Driver 41
The service was excellent from start to finish. The driver turned up a little early so I had no concerns about making my evening flight. Greg? opens the door for me and helped with luggage. The car was clean, the driver very professional and the driving incredible smooth. I would recommend to ask for this driver and you won’t be disappointed. Thank you!

Never use Camcab
Worst customer service ever, if you can call it that. Overcharged me, refused to accept responsibility and blamed my bank. Had to drag an apology out of them and they spoke to me as though I was stupid.
Unreliable
Booked a cab for a wedding pick up, 2 days before it was due. Taxi didn’t show up, claimed to have tried calling us - which they categorically hadn’t. Had to book a new cab on the night of the wedding, which took 40 mins to arrive.. driver proceeded to drive at 90mph whilst tailgating someone. Awful!!!!!!
Bad service and unexpected surprise at the end of our ride
they unilaterally decided to over-charge us for our ride from the airport because an extra passenger: a 4 months old baby on mom's lap .... of course, forget about safety, recently they decided to stop providing any car seats for babies (even for pre-booked long rides).
(no to mention that driver didn't pick us up at the arrivals at Stansted airport. He phoned us to ask to walk to "zone b" in the drop-off area. I could see him entering in the drop-off area and pulling over in "zone b", but then he failed to see us walking towards the car. So he decided to drive through all the other zones and finally stopped in the last area "zone d". He phoned us again and asked us to walk to him with all luggages, claiming that I had misunderstood the letter of the zone in our first call as he had said "zone d". Why did he pull over in "zone b" then?

20 mins late, no apology, no partial refund
I booked and prepaid a return transfer on the 21st of February. First pick up arrived 20 minutes late. I was not notified of the delay until I calls to ask if the taxi was close by. I was told it should be there in 8 minutes but it still took more than 10. I arrived late to a professional appointment.
I wrote an email to ask for an explanation and partial refund. It is now the 10th of March and have not received a response. Only received an answer after the first reminder to say that the respective department would deal with it and come back to me.
The booking service was fast and offered a good service. Both taxi drivers were very professional and helpful.
Wholly unreliable - avoid
Booked a cab at 8.00 (train due in at 8.07 and call operator advised me to book early as driver likely to be late). Cab arrived early then left at 8.07, rather than waiting until 8.10.
Called and rebooked - told it would be 10/15 mins. At 8.25, the cab that was on its way cancelled and a new cab booked with another 15 min wait time.
Wholly unreliable - would recommend avoiding.
Cambridge half marathon
I Booked this company for 7.15 am to get me to Cambridge half marathon.
I rang them at 7.25 asking where he is ,the operator said he will be there in eight minutes,I waited 10min still hadn't arrived rang them again he said it will be another 8min, waited 10 min then ended up cancelling,very poor service.

Large group over 3 days
I booked camcabs across 3 days for a Hen Do including 16 people. The booking process couldn’t have been simpler; I just called up and said the time, place, number of people and it was done. They couldn’t have been more helpful. I would ring a few times daily, asking for a change of time, place, number of people… and they would respond quickly and courteously and sort us out as quickly as possible. Punctual, reasonable, enough cars sent for the number of people. We rang for a cab after feeling uncomfortable when we went out to a club and they arrived within 10 minutes of me calling. They then rang me and asked if we were in the taxis safely. It was so sweet and kind of them to check on us and ensured we were collected as easily and quickly as they possibly could. Fab experience for us all. Thank you

Life risking experience
Disaster from beginning to end. We weren’t picked up from the location that we specified as the driver said he was confused with the roads, despite it being a very easy pick up point in central Cambridge. Driver was not wearing a mask, expressed his anti-vaccine views and was very opinionated about Christmas and new years being a pointless exercise. To top it all off he drove through a red light on a dangerous junction at night. I can forgive the first error, but the rest is unacceptable and incredibly insensitive towards the health and safety of his passengers. Will not be using Camcab again.
Shocking service, discrimination against special needs. This is just the beginning of what’s to come
I’d steer clear of these guys if you have children with special needs or special needs yourself. My son has severe special needs and we use camcabs services to get to and from school safely. His regular driver has been away so the firm have been sending stand ins to do the job.
Today the driver refused to take my boy because he was opening the door and window where he was sat, the resolve to this is to put the child lock on so then he can’t.He advised that he shouted at my son but because my son is profoundly deaf, severely autistic with many other troubles he hasn’t acknowledged the driver.
The driver has then pulled up on the A14 (unsafely by the sounds of things) and has refused to take my 9 year old any further. The clue was he was being dropped off at a special needs school. The driver then advised that there has been a different driver each day because nobody wanted to do the job and complained about Isaac.
I’ve had all this relaid to me so I thought it would be great to have a chat with Taylor from Camcab, the manager of school transport he advised. I try to explain the situation and want to find out what’s happened and why, why I’m having a phone call with him concerning my sons safety. Taylor advised that all the drivers are trained and they have notes that they look at about the customer that they pick up, yet every driver this week has obviously not looked at Isaac’s background. He said that they take 100s of children to school everyday (not with special needs it would seem). Taylor showed no compassion, no apology, was lost for words and was constantly defending his poor drivers that have had to put up with Isaac’s behaviour. One of the many drivers that have been sent this week have some how lost Isaac’s child seat as well making the journey unsafe.
All of the staff need retraining or at least training on customer service and dealing with vulnerable customers, Taylor included. I’m waiting for Taylor’s manager to ring me back as Taylor couldn’t deal with the problem it seems. If I could leave this company a 0 star rating and raise awareness even more I would. The regular driver who will return next week is a credit to the company. Some serious work needed to turn this around though, the council and school are involved and I’m expecting an internal investigation to take place to find out how this has happened and perhaps a sincere apology too.
