Absolutely hopeless, let me down badly with pre booked trip to station so subsequently missed the train. Would suggest any other company before this one.

On time and great price
Unreliable and late
Phoned around 7.15 and booked for 7.50 expecting them to arrange the driver to arrive at 7.50 but that’s the time they allocate them out! Taxi still not there at 8.00 so i called and got told driver was dropping someone off in my area and would be 5 minutes. I called again ten minutes later and was told the driver was still on another job and would be another 7 minutes. This was at 8.20 which would be over 30 minutes after I needed it (if it even did make it!) so I had to cancel and work from home today instead as I would have been late to my job. I did ask them if they could send someone else and they said no - that the 30 minute late driver who was still busy doing something else was the best they can do. They didn’t see it as an issue really.
I don’t understand why if you book for 7.50 they don’t send them at 7.40 and why when they do wait so late to allocate it they give it to a driver who is already busy. If I book for 7.50 then even 7.51 is late but they don’t see it like this. They just say sorry like there is nothing they can do when really they should be paying for the taxi if it’s that late. I’d only recommend booking them if you don’t have any time constraints which kinda defeats the point of a taxi which is so expensive compared to a few years ago despite a far worse service.
Unreliable
The company has been told to pick me up at 8:15 when half the time a driver hasn't been sent until after the allotted time I've been left waiting until the college starts for them to arrive I voiced to the company that I need to get into college on time to get food but they have yet to rectify it
Dismayed at unreliability
I had a 5 seater booked and paid for to pick us up at 11.45pm at well known local wedding venue. No one there at midnight and phone calls stated they were looking for a driver or there was a mix up over postcode, or ring the driver who never answered. Finally started saying they were 25mins away and eventually arrived approx 45 mins after pick up time. To add insult to injury a few days later I received an auto post booking checklist which included the phrase 'no waiting'!! Definitely not reliable or good communication, if they're looking for a driver why don't they message so at least we'd have waited inside out of the cold! And why isn't driver precooked when the transaction is? Dreadful, I wish I'd read these reviews. Definite swerve.

wichh is sad coz i used to use Cam Cab and didnt had complaints.
I had an early flight this morning, so booked a cab last night. got a booking confirmation .
I could have walked to the station but wanted to make sure i didn't miss the train so thought a cab would be sensible.
waitied for it this morning, it didn't arrive,
called several times just getting an automatic message telling me they are looking fir a driver for me......
by this time it was too late to walk to the station, and too late even to book another cab direct to the airport.
so beuae if CAm CAb confirming a booking that they couldn't provide i have missed my flight, and am now having to cancel all my work for tomorrow and book a new flight home, with an added expense of over 200£ and alot of stress and my time
I had prepaid for an airport pickup and…
I had prepaid for an airport pickup and they did not show up or answer my >10 calls when we were waiting or looking for them, so we had to get another taxi. I was then told on the phone a few days later that they would refund me, to leave it with them, but they never came back to me or refunded me for the service they didn't provide. They also did not answer to several emails, except for what looked like an automatically generated email saying they are on it. After more than 3 months of wait to get refunded, I am now forced to raise a formal complaint at the council to get my money back. Feels like a fraud, and I am really not impressed by this (lack of) service.

A taxi was booked and confirmed by Cam Cabs, but did not turn up! You cannot speak to anyone, they are all recorded messages which said they couldn’t find a driver! And had no idea how long we would have to wait! Tried to complain this morning but the useless person who answers pretends he cannot hear and repeats ‘this is a false call’ and puts the phone down. Terrible service, terrible company and would advise you not to use them!!
Incredibly unreliable
Incredibly unreliable. I pre-booked a return journey from the station so as not to miss my train. The outgoing cab was 15 minutes late and the return cab didn’t turn up and they had lost all reference to my booking (having sent me a confirmation when I booked). There were lots of panther cabs and Ubers waiting at the station- I really wish I’d used one of them so I didn’t miss my train!
ABSOLUTE JOKE
ABSOLUTE JOKE! Do not use this "company". I booked a cab 3 hours in advance to pick me up with a load of building materials. Made me wait outside B&Q for 1½ hours. I called 2 times during this wait and was told both times that the cab would be with me "in 15-20 minutes". When the driver finally arrived, he told me this was usual practice for Camcab. I've been emailing them for a refund for a month now, guess where that's gotten me...
Useless company!
The taxi, booked an hour prior, did not arrive at the time stated. When I rang to find out what was happening, they hadn’t even actioned the call out but I was assured I was next in line, but by now I was 20 minutes late. A text arrived inviting me to track the cab, but 10 minutes later it had still not arrived. When I rang again, they said they couldn’t source the booking. I had been waiting for 40 minutes on the roadside in the cold. I cancelled them and walked up 20 mins to pick up a cab from the taxi rank in town. I was an hour late to get my train home. Never again. Avoid this company.
Driver charged £6 extra
I booked a removal van and explicitly mentioned to the operator that I have 2 bikes in my luggage. They sent a 7 seater van instead, which made it really difficult to put luggage in.
At the end of ride, driver took extra £6 pounds saying that bikes are charged extra £3 each. I came to know later that there is no such policy of Camcab. I complained about the driver 3 times but I never got the call back from camcab, neither got my money back.
They are stealing money and have poor customer service.

This is from an email I sent to Camcab on Saturday September 10th, they still have not replied
On Friday September 9th at 15:08Hrs via the Camcabs app,I ordered a cab to pick up myself and 3 friends from Upperhall Court at 17:20Hrs. At 17:30Hrs, 10 minutes after the booked pick up time, I received a text to say the car had been dispatched. At 17:36Hrs I received a second text to say the car had been dispatched. The car finally arrived at 17:54Hrs, 34 minutes late. Car details Black Volkswagen, reg KM68GWW. I mentioned to the driver that he was late, he just said "Don't tell me, tell dispatch" We left for our destination and there was traffic queueing on Cherry Hinton High street to the junction with Cherry Hinton Road. Instead of joining the queue the driver went down the middle of the road, effectively creating another lane. Some of the drivers he was passing became, understandably, angry, with one shouting "F*** off" to which our driver responded by shouting "You f*** off", bear in mind we had 2 females in the car. As we continued the journey the driving was very erratic, hard braking, hard accelerating. As we approached the junction of Hills Rd and Gonville Place the driver asked me which way we should go, I replied straight on. He then entered the right turn lane, I pointed out that he should be in the left lane he squeezed back into the lane upsetting even more motorists.
We finally arrived at our destination and I was charged £11 for the very unpleasant experience.
Do you check your drivers abilities? He certainly should not have been driving the way he did in a taxi with passengers. It was bad enough the fact that the car was over half an hour late, but to then experience such atrocious driving was unforgivable.
UTTER CRAP, MORE LIKE CANT CABS!!
If you want to be left stranded, miss ongoing booked activities and be lied to that the taxi you had pre booked is on its way 3 times and then hung up on then this is the taxi service for you. About as reliable as a car with no engine. Keep up the good work can’t cabs, your pure incompetence speaks volumes!!
Terrible
Terrible. Do not use this taxi company. I prepaid for a taxi to pick me up from a festival at 4am, which did not turn up. I am a 22 year old woman, and I was left stranded, alone in the dark, in a place I was unfamiliar with. It was incredibly frightening. This is not the behaviour of a firm that is 'safe' and 'reliable', as advertised on their website. I have not even received an offer of compensation. I have asked for the email addresses of the directors to raise the matter with them, and I have been told that this cannot be provided. I am shocked by this firms behaviour.
Diabolical !!! Don’t waste your time.
Diabolical !!!! If I could have rated them a minus figure I would have. I pre- booked a taxi on Friday morning for a pick up Saturday night at 11pm. I got a confirmation text msge saying it was booked. Fast forward to 11.15pm Saturday night. And I’m waiting on my own to be picked up, when an email comes through to say my taxi was cancelled at 22.52pm. After trying to call them, I finally get through and speak to the rudest person I have encountered in a long time. She says that she rang me and I didn’t answer so they cancelled my ride. I checked my phone & there’s wasn’t a missed call. When I explained that there wasn’t any calls on my phone & I’m a female stranded on my own - she put the phone down on me. Not an apology. Not an alternative just damn right rude. Don’t waste your time or hard earned money on them.
Shocking service and lack of care
Booked a cab on Friday evening for 12.00 on Saturday. At 11.58 I received a call saying they had no cabs available and it would be at least 45mins. I explained the reason we pre booked was because we were attending a wedding and they simply said sorry there is nothing we can do. Uber every time from now, what’s the point of booking!!!
Never showed up.
Booked a cab in advance to take me to the station. They weren’t there at the time - 15 minutes later I got a text saying they were very busy, but not giving me an updated time. I texted again. Nothing. I called the number - disconnected. Half an hour after the appointed time they still weren’t there; I had missed my train. I didn’t get an apology or an explanation. They really let me down.

Awful - needs shutting down
Booked a taxi an hour and a half in advance. Called when it should have arrived to be told there is an hour delay. Didn’t think to call or let me know. Eventually when the taxi did ‘arrive’ it parked a couple of streets away by the time I walked there it was gone. When I rang and explained, call holder said I would be top of the list for another taxi. Over 30 mins later - still no taxi….. will never use again and would urge others to not use
