Took my mum to her eye test at Boots…
Took my mum to her eye test at Boots Opticians in Letchworth. Fantastic! My mum has alzheimers and the optician was so good at keeping her anxiety in check, explaining what she was doing all the way through. Mum was really happy as she normally finds these situations quite stressful. So grateful to the team in Letchworth!

Well had a free eyetest at Boots very…
Well had a free eyetest at Boots very professionally done. Then i go to sales to choose my glasses etc and am told i will have to pay for my test as i have had a free test within a year elsewhere! So i explain i am about to spend a little over £900 and for the sake of £30 they will lose the sale. Reply “if i do that for you i will have to do it for everyone! “ so i asked for my prescription and left. I wonder if Boots realise such things happen? LOL i replied to Boots customer care as requested but unfortunately after spending even more time on this it has come to nothing. I have sought service elsewhere as i need to order some glasses. But pleas make sure of costs before you even have a free eye test as it may not be free.

The arm snapped off my glasses and only had them few months. I went in to advise them and was served by Mo who is always very friendly and sorted the issue out for me without any hesitation.
Would recommend Boots Opticians in Mere Green.

I walked into the Stevenage store asking if they could help straighten a wonky pair of sunglasses and Siri was very helpful and did a great job and was very polite. 5 stars for customer service.

Great service free eye test, but the price of glasses and lens have rocketed since my last purchase
Staff were great, two issues one was the computer program in the eye test where you have to identify how many white lights has shown did not work correctly and took several resets before it began to work. Perhaps somebody from tech could sort this out. The only other issue was poor selection of frames and the price has rocketed since my last purchase so as my prescription has not changed significantly I did not purchase whereby if the choice had been better and the price more enticing I would’ve purchased a different frame shaping size.

Paid a lot but have got nothing
My old pair of glasses broke so it was time for an eye test and new glasses. I paid for three new pairs. The first pair came after two weeks of waiting. It became apparent that the lenses were incorrect. They were not thin and did not have the sun reaction coating which I had paid for. They were also missing the veri-focal treatment that I had paid for. I returned them and have to wait another 3 weeks to get the new lenses fitted.
The other two pairs of glasses I ordered appear to have gone missing in the system. Been waiting for over 3 weeks. In total I have paid £1,200 for nothing. Will never use Boots again. Just interested in upsell but won’t provide what you have paid for. Should have given my hard earned money to charity and bought some superglue to fix my old pair. Avoid at all costs.
PS forgot to add the pair of glasses with the wrong lenses came with a cheap Boots branded case. They cost £600 pounds and were designer frames. Where has the original designer branded case gone Boots? I expected and paid for much more.

Boots Eye Test
This afternoon I went to Boots Opticians in George Street, Hove for my eye test. I have an eye test every two years. I booked online last night after a text reminder from Boots and managed to get an appointment the following afternoon. I paid for the full eye test (£25) as it also scans the back of the eye, its layers and the pressure in the eye. Two Boots employees carried out the eye test. Initially, Abbey scanned the eye and then the optician, Meghna . They were very professional and thorough. I highly recommend the Boots Opticians service.

Extremely professional service as always. Today I was helped by 4 excellent members of the team- Salma Ayoub, Emily Borden, Magda Mazur and Lewis. I have been attending the Basingstoke branch of Boots Opticians for eye tests for over 40 years. I have always been happy with the care and today was no exception. One for the road
I asked what promotions were currently running and I was informed buy one get an additional pair at half price. Although I queried that I thought the offer included a third pair for nothing, I was told that was not the case.On returning home I checked Boots online and it confirmed that I should have been offered a third pair at no cost. I rang the branch and they amended the order to include an additional pair of glasses.

I visited Boots Opticians in Cheadle yesterday and was looked after by the lovely Elma. She was absolutely amazing—so knowledgeable, friendly and complimentary. I left feeling like a million dollars!

Excellent Opticians in Alton Hants. From the initial tests and scans with Lola, to the eye test with Heather the optician, everything was explained fully to me. I felt very happy and comfortable with the way everything was done. Megan was brilliant checking and fitting my new glasses. The service here is exceptionally good, I wouldn't go anywhere else.
