Very disappointing experience with BOOM.
The customer service was particularly frustrating. During my enquiry, the conversation was suddenly ended because it had reached 6pm. If the service is going to stop at 6pm, customers should be clearly informed beforehand. Ending the conversation without proper notice was extremely frustrating and a complete waste of my time.
Even more disappointing, I have spent almost a week contacting different customer service agents regarding changes to my car insurance. Unfortunately, I received different answers from different agents, and some of the information was simply not accurate.
I find this very difficult to understand. When dealing with something as important as car insurance, customers should receive clear, consistent and accurate information.
I have only just purchased my policy, but based on this customer service experience, I am already very disappointed.

Their system auto-filled my car…
Their system auto-filled my car information incorrectly, based on my reg number. They wanted to charge me to change it. I decided to just cancel the whole policy, only 2 days after starting it. The policy had not yet gone live, yet I was still charged £75. They refused to waive the fee or negotiate a lower exit fee. Really poor.

AVOID!!
AVOID!!! never had such a bad experience with an insurance company before. Firstly their customer service is genuinely appalling, so incredibly hard to get in contact with anyone as they have no phone number to ring if you have an issue and takes way too long to get through to anyone on the chatbot. I tried to cancel my insurance and every time i tried to let them know through the chat it said there wasn’t a human available to process anything. This happened for DAYS and at all hours of the day, eventually i had to say i had a different issue and i got put through to a human within minutes!!! even after just saying there’s no one available!!! this is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. They randomly changed the day of my direct debit payments with no notice. it’s been 6 months and they still haven’t sent my NCB documents.
