The Atem mini is a really good piece of hardware. We used one to help record with our Sigma FP and so far it hasn't dissapointed. The company could have better customer support but the thing works most of the time.

Very poor customer service. Ordered a Blackmagic Pocket 6K Pro which was faulty on arrival (ND filter stuck after the first stop - to fix, you have to turn the camera on and off again).

Called up Blackmagic support to resolve the issue, they said it's most likely to be a faulty product so we sent it back to their warehouse and we were told they would distribute a new camera back to us.

One week after sending the camera back, and constantly chasing up BM to see where the new camera is; they said they were going to try and amend the issue on the original camera and send it to repairs. After telling them we didn't want a repaired camera, they said they couldn't resolve the issue anyway and would therefore send out a replacement ASAP. Two weeks later and we're still waiting for the camera to be dispatched...

As a video production company, we work with a lot of brands (Sony, Canon, DJI, Sigma etc), and Blackmagic have the worst customer service/support team I have ever experienced. We now have a backlog of clients waiting for video shoots thanks to Blackmagic's inadequate services.

Terrible and they leave you to Forums to resolve issues. They say post on the forum and you'll have 100's of responses in the day! All i found were people asking the same questions!

There is a bit of a learning curve on this software but it is worth the time investment. I am aghast how good this program is and what an incredible job it can do. It is free software that updates with some regularity and seems stable. I'd previously purchased Filmora, which I thought was pretty good, but had noted of late it was becoming more and more unstable. Frequent crashes and belaboured tech support drove me to look for an alternative, enter DaVinci Resolve. The more I use it the more I like it. There are a ton of on-line tutorials so you can always find something to resolve Resolve. Great software, keep up the good work and thank you for making this free.

I am thrilled with my Atem Mini and my Atem Mini Pro.. as an ex music technology student, I was not expecting soo much from a little box like the Atem mini or the pro until I purchased one for our church zoom setup. I quickly added the mini pro to the system as it has a recording options. What you get is an endless features of a pro TV studio/ broadcast quality.

WORST MEDIA COMPANY IN HISTORY! Their gear is Chinese junk that probably ships from the Wish warehouse. Legit, they can't even repair their own cameras. Customer service is non-existent and their editing software is still a dumpster fire. Right now I'm having to threaten legal action because they won't return gear to us that they "can't fix." They literally want to keep OUR stuff, for free, and recycle it (which is funny because I thought it couldn't be fixed.) BMD is a SCAM.

Great products, however lacks quality control. Seems like many products, mine included, have various issues. Customer service has not been impressive either. In fact, rather poor.

Awful customer service. Will do anything to get you to spend more money. I've only had bad experiences with their products. Only good thing about them is their cameras and even they have problems.

Davinci resolve. Free but... argh. Please remember Render settings! Don't create the project in wrong size.
Don't name render to timeline1 if there is only 1 video clip in the project.

The p6k pro...what a shambles! Rushed release, blue screen and footage. The blue screen however was the least of my problems.

The first 2 units had physical defects ie dents and marks on the glass filter.

The third one arrived DOA. The reseller I bought from were fantastic but BM tech support were so rude and defensive that I decided not to get another replacement and get a refund.

Thankfully I've had a decent p4k so I never had to call them but now I can truly see the type of company they are.

Yes these camera's are reasonably cheap but when you're delaying paid work and loosing money on personal projects you soon find out that it's not worth the hassle.

This software, really helped me out, to be creative. The node system in D. R, is just so..... its like I found what I dreamt of. 5 years ago, I started to test out, about 5-6 NLEs, and today I am grading my own movie, full lenght .I had direct contact and help from the head engineers. I really feel like beeing part of a family . Also beeing able to customize the setup, with my 3 screen, and have a true color output, on one, from a Blackmagic Decklinik card, is quite amazing. I will never ever use anything else :).....

I cannot support any company which FORCES you to enter personal details and sign up for their newsletter to download the application. I'm fine with them asking if there was a skip option, but there isn't, you're forced to enter details. Needless to say I filled in bogus details.

No stars would be the best score, if that were possible. This company is probably the worst communicating company I have ever dealt with, if its performance over the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor is anything to go by. I ordered and paid for one of these on 24th December 2020, based on a projected delivery of early January. This soon extended to 20th Jan, and now stands at 28th February. There seems to be a huge backlog of orders for their unit with some customers waiting much longer than me. BMD refuses to engage with its customers on this, with just one curt Tweet in mid January. Maybe its because its a low price item and they don't care about such customers. If this is typical of the company, heaven help those who are buying the more expensive items.

Davinci resolve 17 Amazing software, so well thought out .Ordinally tried out the free version to get the feel of the software to see if it would suit my needs, my initial thoughts i loved the timeline and cut and edit page but found it so laggy ,was almost unusable editing 4k. Took some advice from a friend that convinced me with my current pc spec with the GPU i have it will run very smooth as the studio version has gpu hardware acceleration so i thought i would give it a chance and it worked perfect and very pleased with the extras you get with the studio version especially the noise filter .The rendering is so fast with exceptional output quality.
My only criticism is that i don't understand why they don't have a fully working trial version of the studio to make sure it works on your current hardware .Apart from that this software is a great deal as once you have purchased the licence you have free upgrades for life and can be installed on two devices so you never have to spend a penny again to keep up to date

World Class! 'Black Magic Design' are incredible. Their software is outstanding and makes editing quick and simple. For us who needs to make edits quickly it is a revelation. Their cameras capture super high quality footage with ease.

Davinci resolve is amazing, I use it for all my video projects, both on my YouTube channel and paid gigs. The capabilities are insane for a free video editing software. Normally I wouldn't be able to afford a pro editing software, and I think that's the case for a lot of filmmakers and youtubers when they're just starting out. I think it's incredibly generous that Blackmagic Design has this free software, and they don't cheap out on what they give you, even though it's free. It can be daunting at first, and you need a good computer to be able to run it, but it's really popular so there's a lot of youtube tutorials if you ever got lost, and the sky is the limit. Take the time to learn the basic functions and shortcuts and it will bring your videos to the next level. I've been using it for about a year now, and I feel like I still barely use all the functions. I just recently learned some basic color grading and it really brought my videos to the next level. Wish I could show before and after!

Anyways, can't thank this company enough, was just thinking about how often I use this and how much it's allowed me to do. I realized I was taking it for granted, so wanted to leave this review as a thank you. I've found my passion, which is making YouTube videos and teaching people through video, and a big part of that is because of this software. I'm able to be really proud of my videos, because they look great! I'll even edit photos in Davinci Resolve, because the color grading is so awesome and I can't for the life of me figure out photoshop (and don't want to pay for it) haha

Cintel scanner doesn't work since October and everything else is wrong but the scanner itself (checked 4 computers, including their recommended iMac Pro). It keeps on freezing, crashing, not reacting, scan process suddenly stops etc. They can't do remote check nor testing one computer with other scanners. I don't recommend this company nor the scanner.

Auto save is disabled by default in Davinci Resolve. Nice one. Surely no one would want that to be on.
