Consistently inconsistent
I've used Bikedelivery four or five times now over the past few years and their service is at best inconsistent. As others have mentioned, they are just a front end for APC so this review will not focus on the delivery and handling aspect. My only advice would be to pay attention to the local APC carriers on both ends - if you see them throwing packages into the back of their van from 50ft, you'd be best using another service.
What Bike delivery actually does is book outsized packages with APC, so they are responsible for scheduling and then communicating pickup and delivery times which they do all right at. Sometimes they'll send you tracking updates, sometimes they won't. Sometimes they'll send you an APC consignment number, sometimes they won't. Sometimes they'll send you a delivery window, sometimes they won't. Usually they give you just enough information to find the rest out yourself, although it's not easy. The most consistent way I've found to get your APC consignment number is to click the 're-schedule delivery' link in the text/email they sometimes send you.
If you order a box from bike delivery, they will usually arrive in good time, however I would suggest avoiding having the box delivered on a Friday and the bike collected the following Monday. If the box gets delayed it can leave you rushing to pack the bike up before the collection van arrives. The bubble-wrap add on is not worth your time. It's never enough to properly protect a bike and costs more than it should. Get some from your local post office/supermarket instead. The foam piping add-on is actually pretty good, although what/how much they send you can be hit or miss.
All in it's a fine service, but I wouldn't say anything more than that. Would I recommend using them to ship your brand new £12,000 Pinarello? Absolutely not. They are too inconsistent. A £300 ebay purchase for your kid? Yeah, why not.

It was worth the money. No hustle with the bike or box nor package. The bike box was the perfect size and very good, strong quality. It came with pipes, although never ordered and not paid for. Received an email with all info and instructions no further spamming. Perfect service, will use anytime again and highly recommend it. Thanks!!

Well that was easy!! Picked up Monday, delivered Tuesday. Pickup driver had label in case we hadn't managed to print. Delivered intact and on time.

Unclear what the point of this company is
Disappointing - It is difficult to see what the point of this company is. Essentially, it would appear to be a branch of Paisley Freight, with a few bits on the website offering the option to sell you a bike box, and some help with the measurements. The delivery was subcontracted to APC, who then subcontracted it to a local courier. So not a specialist bike delivery service at all. The collection of my bike was missed, and there was literally zero communication from Bike Delivery, no effort to contact me to reassure me that a new arrangement had been made, or explain why the bike had not been picked up, nothing vaguely resembling customer service at all, in fact. Sadly, it appears that Bike Delivery believe that in subcontracting the delivery to APC, this relieves them of their responsibility to deliver on their duties as service-provider. Predictably, there is no way to call Bike Delivery on the phone; just the dreaded contact form, which offers no insight into response times. Given that I had paid for an overnight delivery, this was frustrating. I had to call the local courier myself and sort the mess out. They were very helpful, and I was even able to speak to driver in person.
If you are posting a bike, the chances are you are sending something potentially quite valuable, which needs to be handled with care, and comes with a high risk of being lost, damaged, or stolen. It also means a significant amount of coordinating in order to ensure it is both collected and received safely. A bike is not something you can leave on the doorstep to be picked up, given its vulnerability to theft. Bike Delivery proffers itself as a specialist delivery service for bicycles, but in fact offers nothing to address these concerns beyond an industry standard insurance offering (at an extra price of £14).
Thankfully, in using Bike Delivery and being on the receiving end of their rather cynical/lackluster offering, I have found a far more diligent local courier, to whom I look forward to giving my business in future.
Seamless experience
Seamless experience. The website was easy to navigate. The box for the bike arrived the next day. I was kept updated with collection times. The courier was very polite and professional and I received confirmation as soon as the bike was delivered.
SCAM outfit
SCAM outfit! Awful company, delayed deliveries and spurious extra charges once they have your parcel. They clearly have some kind of special measure tape with short CMs on it, but once they have your parcel you either pay up the extra or they keep the item. FRAUDULENT practice as policy! Had to pay up even though the box is well within the stated size, and was supplied BY THEM!!!
No customer service - avoid
Pointless. arrange for new bike to be couriered and included option packaging. Packaging arrived a day late. They failed to turn up to collect the bike, left no slip to prove they'd been and it a just stated 'no one present at collection'. Have subsequently not responded to any emails. With no contact phone number, there's no-one to speak to. You can 'pay' at additional £9.99 for a recollection but i'm not at fault. Used DPD instead. Cheaper and better.
Totally awesome seamless service
Had a fantastic service from them. I ordered a box and packing which arrived promptly. The bike fitted in without having to remove the rear wheel. I still removed the pedals, rear derailleur and anything else that could potentially cause or be damaged (common sense) then wrapped it up. I was fully informed of every stage and status via email and text. The bike was picked up on time and delivered the next day in perfect condition to the other end of the country. Can't ask for more than that.

Having used this company before , and it's parent company. Cannot fault delivery time.
Main issue now... seems they sub out work. Cycle box was loaded into back of an overloaded parcel van. Had to say to driver to keep the cycle box upright.
Avoid these clowns
Avoid these clowns. My mistake for using before reading the reviews here. Paid extra for insurance but despite boxing it really well their heavy handed delivery driver broke the rear derailleur in transit. Several arbitrary deadlines later and ludicrous demands for minutiae you couldn’t possibly get in time and my claim got refused. Reported to the ombudsman.
Save your money and self collect/deliver
I wouldn’t waste my time. On Saturday 18 May I made a booking through Bike Delivery’s website. I had to arrange a box to be delivered first. This meant their first collection date would be on Thursday. Collection was made but I have no idea when they plan to deliver to me. The collection point is less than 50 miles from me. Lesson learned is that I should have waited and collected the bicycle myself this Saturday. What a waste.

Avoid them at all costs. I just sent my sons bike back. After putting the correct measurements in their website. I also double checked. And they have just emailed me after pickup saying they want an extra £20.

After sending them an email explaining I just looked at their reviews on Trustpilot, and I'm onto their little scheme, I got an email saying the bike has been delivered. literally 5 mins after me typing this.

Broken service! Bike box gets held up by a day every time because it's 1cm too wide. It's in a BikeBoxAlan the most popular bike box in the U.K. Won't use service again. You need to change the third party that actually do the sending or enable people to pay the money at checkout.
