The Bear Garden opened in 1992 in Guildford and is one of the UK's leading specialist teddy bear and soft toy shops. We are one of the UK’s top stockists for world famous German manufacturer, Steiff. We also stock creations from all the major manufacturers (for example: Jellycat, Charlie Bears, Merrythought, Teddy Hermann and Kosen), and beautiful work from leading teddy bear artists.

We are proud of, and have been recognized many times for, the quality of our service. We aim to make our customers as happy as possible!
Finally, we run our business in an ethical fashion. We use a green electricity supplier, are diligent recyclers and try to make decisions based on the impact on the world around us. Our chosen charity is War Child.

The Bear Garden Guarantee
We aim to send orders within 24 hours of receipt whenever possible. Items are sent securely packed and clearly labelled, so they arrive safely.
We like our customers to be happy!
So, if when you receive your parcel you are not happy with the contents, you will be refunded on return of the item(s). This does not affect your statutory rights. The Bear Garden guarantees that all items offered for sale are in perfect condition. We include boxes, bags and certificates where provided by the manufacturer.
Returns
If you are dissatisfied in any way with your purchase, then you can return it to us within 14 days of receipt for a refund. We do ask, however, that you contact us before returning any item. Returns must be sent back with any original boxes, packing and certificates.
Refunds are less any original postage costs incurred by The Bear Garden. We do reserve the right not to refund the full cost where items are returned damaged or missing.

I have only experienced this shop online but the service I received was amazing, they replied so quickly and were able to help with what I need. I am fairly local (approx 20 mins) and hope to experience the shop in person very soon.
The product was packaged very well with such care and delivery only took a couple to days too. I honestly couldn’t fault anything and this is why we should support our smaller local business where we can.

Und der Moomin ist einfach wunderschön :-)
Leider gibt es dort noch mehr zuckersüße Plüschis, sodass ich wohl oder übel irgendwann nochmal bestellen muss...

New to Jellycat collecting since I adopted my daughter who desperately wants to collect them. I was recommended to try The Bear Garden and told they had the little bunny she so wanted.
Delighted to find they did have the bunny and the purchase was easy, I had updates as my order processed and it arrived safely and beautifully packaged - it was clear time and attention had been placed into making sure it arrived in excellent condition.
I emailed the Bear Garden to thank them, it’s not often you get good (dare I say old fashioned) customer service anymore ! Happy little girl happy mummy and we will be back for more.
I will always take my custom to smaller businesses who appreciate it and treat my purchase as if it matters to them as much to me.
Highly recommend spending your hard earned pennies at The Bear Garden !!
