Great customer service

Welcoming on entry free tea and coffee while you wait plenty of cars to look at unfortunately not all cars are unlocked as per your own advert, we did find a car that we were interested in and put a deposit on it and the sales team were very attentive, we then waited and if I hadn’t chased initially we would never have had any news from you, you did eventually keep us updated then it went wrong the car was too badly damaged to sell so we picked a different car, it needed a jump start so we could test drive it and we agreed on the purchase with the previso that a new battery would be fitted if the current one was no good and a dashcam was fitted by you. We picked up the car on Thursday last week 30th April and drove away, then came the problem the dashcam hadn’t been plugged in properly so it took awhile to figure it out so two days later there was no power in the battery so I had to put a charger on so I could get it to start, my wife spoke to someone in after sales who wasn’t that nice to her so we managed to get enough charge to drive it and hoped a good run might give it a full charge, so I checked on Monday the 4 th may and it still showed 40% we took it to a garage on Tuesday for a battery health check and they confirmed the battery at 46% after a call to your after sales to which we agreed we would come in Friday, but after a call to Nissan they have agreed to sort out the issue instead
So overall we’re sort of happy with the purchase side although it did seem to take awhile but you didn’t change the battery and it isn’t in a state where it would accept a full charge so it will be with Nissan on 6th may they will do a full health check at probably change the battery, as my family has health issues we cannot be without a car so quite poor after sales when the battery should have been changed at the beginning but as it was under manufacture warranty we had Nissan check the car and After much deliberation we have changed the car with Nissan Ilkeston to a car more suitable for our requirements but would advise anyone buying from available car to look over the car and any issues to consider your options before buying and even an independent inspection

Kizzy was brilliant - polite and helpful. Always got back to me with answers to my questions. The handover was smooth even with me being a perfectionist (Ryan/Aaron was helpful and friendly on handover). Happy with car and service

From finding the car, to taking it home, everyone professional but human !

Really helpful and friendly staff. At no point did I feel pressured into buying a car (although I did and it’s great!!)

when I picked my car up the fuel tank was on reserve with about 20 miles left in tank and the garage next door did not have any fuel.

The beautiful clean showroom - free tea coffee and water - clean toilets - nice staff from the customer service people to the sales people and very helpful and I did buy a car

I’ve now bought 8 cars from Available Car, so this isn’t a one-off experience or a case of unrealistic expectations — I know how their process usually works. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I’ve had with them.

The buying side was straightforward. Pricing was clear, no pressure to buy extras, and the staff member I dealt with was polite and friendly.

However, everything else fell short.

Communication was poor throughout. It was very difficult to get hold of anyone, and promised callbacks rarely happened unless I chased repeatedly.

There were also significant delays. I waited around 4 weeks due to an apparent error with a part being ordered, and had to keep chasing for updates. In the end, I was given a different car, which then caused further delays with paperwork and vehicle tax — some of which is still not resolved.

Collection day was particularly frustrating. My appointment was 16:15, and I didn’t leave until around 18:15 after having to chase multiple times. A 2-hour wait for a pre-booked handover is not acceptable.

The car itself was as described, but the preparation wasn’t great. The valet was below standard, with visible polish marks left on the paintwork. Also, no MOT was completed despite expectations.

Overall, while the staff were courteous, the lack of communication, delays, and poor organisation made this a disappointing experience.

08/05/26 Update: Following my review, I was contacted by the Customer Care Manager who took the time to discuss the issues properly. They have offered to re-valet the vehicle, which is appreciated. I also discovered that the MOT had in fact been completed, although it was not showing correctly at the time, which caused some confusion on my side.

While my original experience regarding communication, delays and collection day still stands, I do appreciate the follow-up and willingness to address the concerns raised. On that basis, I have updated my rating.

Rating: 3/5 (will update to 4 once I'm happy with the valet)

Albeit a short wait at times, cannot fault all staff for their way of handling my part-exchange. Excellent facilities and a vast range of cars to view. Test drive on the same day.

Helpful and approachable, no hard sell or hidden costs

I had a great experience with we buy any car. I liked that we were free to look without staff coming up to us every 5 minutes to see if we needed help, we just got to look and go to someone if we did need help. Danielle was great in helping me when I did choose a car and helping me with sorting my part exchange. She wasn't judgemental about my car I was part exchanging when I certainly would have been haha. Jamie was also great in setting up my finance and part exchange, gave me plenty of time to think things through and go through all options without pressuring me to take any additional services. Unfortunately I didn't catch the woman's name who did the handover of vehicles but also fantastic, very quick and efficient and reassuring that I could take my time. Overall a great experience and I am so happy with my new car 😁

Really good car buying experience. Despite being very busy on a weekend day, a seamless waiting system is implemented with comfortable waiting facilities available. All staff members from reception to sales to handover were friendly, professional and helpful. Genuinely a much better experience than buying cars from other large car supermarkets previously. Would 100% recommend and use again

Arrived, was pleasantly greeted. No staff following us or pressuring during the walk around the cars. Our sales person, Ryan, was incredible. Answered questions honestly and took us out in multiple cars for test drives. Once we settled on our vehicle we were talked through optional products and then hand to the manager. In our case, this was the reason for the lack of 5 stars. The manager made assumptions and quote us based on EVERYTHING being included in the price despite not asking what products we may be interested in. I also was not informed of the charitable donation on the invoice prior to it being add. I had told Ryan I had already got the funds available yet, the manager insist on running multiple car finances which felt a little awkward and I had reiterate not requiring their finance. Collection of my vehicle with a different sales person, another Ryan, who was also lovely.

I was very impressed with Available Car, on all aspects of looking for, finding and then buying a car from them. From the attention to getting the simple things right - cars displayed in a large showroom and outsdie, with decent room between cars to enable someone to look around from all angles (rather than some places that have them crammed up against one another), plus cars clean and highly polished (most of the 2-3 year old cars looked almost new), to a friendly and non-pushy team of staff, and a wide selection of vehicles by brand, make and colour. In terms of buying a second-hand car, it's probably the best experience I have had.
