Everything was sorted very quickly

Everything was sorted very quickly, test drove my car then sorted paperwork and collected it a week later once they had serviced it and got it ready. Dylan was brilliant, answered any questions I had and completely honest from the beginning. Very happy with everything.

Car purchase

The whole buying experience is cool relaxed and professional.Five stars were definitely on the cards but a couple of errors on Available's part led me to lose a star.Firstly I was advised that a owners manual was online only as many are these days.Secondly when we arrived home we noticed there were no car mats in the vehicle.Abrand new owners manual and associated booklets were bought online as were a set of car mats specifically for my recent purchase.Overaul I think Available car is a professional, well run business and would not hesitate to use them again in future.Just a couple of matters which were probably preventable in my opinion.

Read this before you go!

I went to available car last Sunday, what a joke they offered me £3300 less than other PX prices I had. I did a review to show my disappointment in them and to let others know so they could go and get a few PX prices from other car dealership's and they replied that my car rear panel had been replaced so I went to Sytners today to ask what's going on as it was still under approved warranty. They seemed very concerned and got the body shop manager straight out to look. He inspected it and showed me the original welding BMW stamp on what they said was a replacement part and I showed them where there was a small bit of ruff paint and they booked it straight in and said it was where it had a small scrape from something and been repaired but agreed to make it good but was no doubt the original rear panel. Also it's a two door coupe and said it would have to be cut out of the car and that definitely hasn't happened. Just show's me that the young lad either didn't know what he was on about or was this to get my car for a knockdown price? I would look very carefully at the stock as the ones I saw where a bit tatty. Look at the lower panels all round and the interior condition. Also check the service history as if it hasn't been done on the correct intervals can be very expensive. Check the automatic gearbox service schedule online as this is very important and can be expensive and ask to see the evidence it has been done. My friend bought a automatic ford puma last month and had a overheating gearbox warning light come on a week later. also be ready for them pushing the £500 dash cam and £500 ceramic coating and the car mats that are a couple of hundred 😂 also take someone with you that's clued up about cars and check everything thing online if your not sure just ask Google. I wouldn't buy from them after my experience.

Overall a poor experience

I booked a test drive online, entering all my details and arrived 10 mins before my timeslot. I was shown to the waiting area. 50 mins after my appointment time I finally got to speak to someone, who started taking all my details. I asked why this was necessary as everything being asked for had been entered online. The person dealing with us, went off to talk to someone else, came back and found my details on the computer. I was then asked which type of car I was interested it, I was interested in the one I had booked a test drive of. I then had to find the car registration that I had booked as they couldn't. Finally, we got out on a test drive. The salesperson advised that the 2 inch section of paint on the edge of the driver’s door was to be repaired and the bald tyres were replaced, I agreed to buy the car on that basis.

On collection I was asked my name by the same staff member 5 time in 20 mins so they could book us in. The paint repair was done however with a different colour paint to the paint on the car, it was rough surface with no top coat and covered part of the main face of the door where there was no damage. On viewing of the car with the salesperson, they agreed it was a poor paint job and suggested I leave the car with them so they could have another go. Not a practical idea as I live almost two hours away and was no longer insured on my trade in car. I was told if I drove it away then they would not fix the poor paint job, so this is something I now need to resolve myself. They also refused to provide a discount to cover the cost of the paint repair. The tyres had been replaced however the wheels had not been rotated so they were both either the front or back and the alignment had not been done, another job to do myself.

For two weeks following collection of the car, I was then called repeatedly by people trying to sell me the car I had already bought. They also advised they would send confirmation that they had cleared the stocking finance on the car, which they did not. I had to pay for a report to ensure the finance was cleared.

Great place to view lots of car options and see which car model you want to buy, I would be hesitant to buy from them again.

Great buying experience at available car Sutton in Ashfield . No pressurised salesman . Fair price for your vehicle swap. Smooth transaction . This is not the first time we have bought a car from here . Will recommend . Our salesmen were Kristen and Sam (pink team ) very professional without any hassle , this is why we choose our MG hs trophy from here !

Great value

Great value, good people, who are passionate about cars. However, getting to the people was a bit off-putting. We had made an appointment beforehand and still had to wait over 30 minutes. After looking at the car, we found some scratches and were assured that these would be fixed. Presumably the one week gap to pick up date was to do that, but we were called twice to be informed that there was a delay in preparing the car. When we did turn up at the allotted time, it still wasn't ready and it wasn't charged as promised. The salesman who was looking after us was very nice and very apologetic about the situation, but there wasn't much he could do.

Asked the same question first on…

Asked the same question first on entering and a further 3 times, didnt get the answer until after test drive and nearly 4 hours later! Couldnt proceed with purchase as being pressed into taking finance. They chose not to divulge you are paying £5 to a charity without your knowledge.
They are now trying to get this review removed.

Diamondbrite Ceramic/Valeting Service

We paid for Diamondbrite Ceramic to be added outside and inside the vehicle. This had not been done on collection and the vehicle was dirty inside.
On contacting Available Car the next day, Andrew arranged for this to be done while we wait and was apologetic for this lapse in service.

Wasting my time and money

Unfortunately the second review I've written for Available Car. I gave 3 stars last time due to it not being cleaned or stone chips fixed when collecting but now having problems with the clutch. Already took it back to be fixed after a full day of arguing on the phone saying I can't wait months for a courtesy car for it to be fixed, got the car back after the repair to find there is STILL a problem with the clutch! Been told a 5 weeks wait for a repair and courtesy car but yet will have to pay recovery fees etc myself should the problem (that they didn't fix the last time) cause a break down in the meantime. I've now driven up a 2 hour round trip 6 separate times for this car to then have to make a further 2 round trips to have it fixed again- with today's pricey fuel costs having to me covered by myself of course and having to take time off work in order to take it and pick it up during opening hours. By the time this second repair takes place, I will be out of warranty for a pre-diagnosed problem. Honestly can't even convey how furious I am with putting my money and trust in a reputable company and am debating having to return the car so I don't have to risk it having the same problem again out of warranty however I will then have no way to get to work. Too much hassle, spending too much money taking it back for repairs and spending far too much of my time phoning and driving back and forth to have it fixed. Not good enough.

I bought a VW ID3, with a weak battery

I bought a VW ID3 from these guys 6 weeks ago. In the process of getting a dash cam installed, a third party found that the 12V DC battery voltage was quite low. I booked it into AvailableCar to look into it.

They replaced the battery for free, but then as I was driving off, I found the computer kept rebooting. I brought the car back- they had not seen the fault. They confirmed the issue, took the car in, gave me a courtesy car and kept it a few days until they'd overcome the issue.

My overall experience was... really good:
The purchase process was quick and efficient.
I was really pleased they agreed to replace the battery (it is arguably a consumable).
They fixed it as fast as they could and were great to deal with.
I mostly dealt with Bailey, and she was great, trying really hard to make the whole thing work well.

It would have been nice to have an EV as a courtesy car, but the Nissan Juke they loaned me was just fine.

I will happily buy from AvailableCar next time I need a new car.
