Do not take it out. They deducted the money already for next year but at the same time they do not offer travel insurance anymore. SCAM

DON NOT BUY ASDA TRAVEL INSURANCE. I have been with them for years. Only time I try to make a claim they tell me my policy has lapsed. It had lapsed by 2 days as I'd spent hours on the phone to you trying to renew it. Now they are trying to sell me a policy excluding the coronavirus cover. SCAMMERS !!

One star as that's the lowest I can give, I do appreciate the situation that we are all in but after spending time on the phone to then ( not answering their phone) and a number of emails sent to them (no reply's) I definitely not recommend them at all totally a wast of time

They love taking your money but should you need to claim they refuse to answer the phone and ignore ALL emails. They are the pits and mislead potential customers by the fake promises they make should you run into difficulties which is the very reason we buy it, you are better off with no insurance, certainly not from these Asian gangsters working on behalf of @asda fleecing the British public!

Don’t buy this - couldn’t be more disappointed.

My mother was hospitalised in Vietnam and had To travel there to bring her home. Customer service is deplorable and gave a level of service that has left me shocked. They contributed to the stress of the situation rather than alleviating it. They made it impossible for me to deal with from Vietnam so had to get someone in the uk to sit through the 20mins plus to talk to anyone as they wouldn’t respond to emails. I can not advise you strongly enough to not buy this product.

One star is too good this time. Ordered and arranged delivery of US dollars and took the day off work to ensure I was available to receive it. At 10am I get a call from Asda to inform me it might not be delivered. Far to late for me to go to work or do anything but sit and wait on the off chance it turns up. By 2pm it hadn't.. Rang up to speak with customer service who, without any of my details told me it would be delivered tomorrow. No apology, no let me check.. NOTHING. Super unhelpful and now I'm left stressing whether I will indeed get my money tomorrow. Well done on failing to meet your obligation and your truly terrible customer service skills Lewis!
I understand the delivery is out of their control to a certain extent however they choose the delivery company. I even offered to travel to a local store to collect which was also refused. So I've lost a days work which wastes any saving I made using Asda and have to sit around tomorrow in the hope it turns up.
It's one of those times when I should've just walked to the post office for the money instead of being suckered in to Asdas best rate guarantee.

I had previously taken out annual insurance. I didn't realise it was automatically renewed by Asda, which I don't agree with by the way especially when they just take the money from your credit card without permission. Anyway I have tried to cancel this by e-mail and get a refund. They keep saying theyneed more information but I think they are just stalling. So I am still waiting but NEVER again!!! Avoid Asda insurance at all costs!!!

Went to the travel bureau on 6th February 2020 to order euros. They had none in stock but the man filled in a form and ordered them for me. He said they would be ready to collect 10th after 3. I went to collect them and a “dozy” girl smiled and said we only have 130 euros. I told her they had been ordered and she just shrugged. She said come tomorrow and we may have them. I just threw the order form over the counter and told her to forget it. I will never use them again. Just wished I had looked at the reviews first!

Online I prepaid for Malaysian Ringitts to be collected 5 days ahead at Asda Dagenham. Arrived to collect had to wait for 45 minutes.
Instead of it being pre prepared they did not have the right amount of notes. So they demanded more money, leaving me no choice.
Later I formally complained giving them the chance to rectify. Apart from a standard apology email that took three weeks they seem disinterested.
Don't go there, I won't again!

Money has mysteriously gone missing from my ASDA money Currency Card. I am currently abroad, cannot obtain a complete statement from the internet and I cannot top the card up. ASDA customer services denies this card has anything to do with ASDA & refuses to do anything whatsoever to help. Instead it blames Travel Ex and the problems with the recent hack attack. TravelEx have also not responded to any requests for help. THANKS A LOT ASDA I wont be using you to buy anything again.

We ordered our travel money to be delivered yesterday but had not turned up! Called them and they said they have IT issues so not able to tell me where my money is? Called again today and same story, we go on holiday soon....... with no money! Called again later, said they will refund but unable to say when, they have no systems so can’t refund either. Spoke to my bank, they can interfere after 30 days . But I will have to order money elsewhere and hope I get a refund! What is going on??

Very bad experience. Please do not fall in this aweful company's trap. all are scammers there. I lost my money.

Avoid this scam! I had a cancelled flight and contacted Asda for an extra hotel night compensation. I was informed that only the first and last flight of a trip is covered. As this was a connecting flight it wasn’t covered so I could except no compensation whatsoever! This insurance is a joke and a scam, had I read all of the reviews on here before I obviously wouldn’t have purchased it. Save your money as these travel insurances aren’t worth the paper they’re written on.

Worst customer service ever. No guidance. No communication. No follow ups. Every time I have to call to chase my claim up I speak with a different person telling me a different story. They have closed my claim without me even knowing. What a disappointment.

Ok but budget as you would expect. You get what you pay for

I advise against buying travel insurance. My flight was delayed by 6h. After making a complaint, it turned out that the insurance covers delays of more than 12 hours. The entire complaint procedure is complicated and requires many documents. Never again.

Disappointed at being misled.

Was told by very nice girl in Bureau Exchange Southgate that ASDA would match the best local rate. I told her I usually ordered my currency from CEC online and get a special rate. She said ASDA also do a special rate for ordering on line and they would match it.

Today I went to get my currency from ASDA and they would not match the rate I was quoted even though they rang CEC (who quoted 1.1032. The girl very Kindly spoke to the manager and all they offered was 1.0940. Certainly would not recommend - very disappointed at being misled.

i will never use this service again, my partner ordered money online gave them my email address and passport details, and paid for it on their card, i have gone in with ID but they would not give me it as it was paid for on my partners card, even if my partner was their, they still could not give us it, as card details were different from the order in my name, first holiday recovering after illness, have to wait up to 10 days for a refund, away on holiday tomorrow holiday now ruined thank you Asda
