SoundCloud is no longer the one.
This is a message that we had to send SoundCloud today and SoundCloud for Artists.
Hi there,
I’ve been experiencing an ongoing issue with your support team that’s now affecting a time-sensitive release. I have a track scheduled to go live tomorrow, and we’ve already filmed the music video in preparation. However, the track was rejected due to a claim that I do not own the rights, which is incorrect.
I’ve already sent the license documentation to your support team, but I’ve received no response. I even resent the email due to the lack of acknowledgment, which is especially frustrating given that we are paying for Artist Pro and expect at least basic support.
This isn’t the first issue we’ve encountered with your platform. Another artist on our label had their track repeatedly removed by SoundCloud, ultimately forcing them to switch to Ditto Music, where their release went live on all platforms without a single issue. Unfortunately, that artist will not be returning to SoundCloud, and I can’t say I blame them.
I’m asking that someone from your team please review the license documentation and resolve this issue as soon as possible so I can meet my deadline. If this isn’t addressed promptly, I will be forced to move to a more reliable distributor and share this experience publicly, including on platforms like Trustpilot, to inform other artists of how we’ve been treated.
Please escalate this and get in touch urgently.
