Some of the worst service I have ever received.

Complete scam artists looking to make money anyway they can. I would not trust anyone at this company especially Kevan

Scam artist, not a professional company. Dont trust their word. They will charge you $316+ then more then not guranteed. Unethical

Indeed just like the other review's we were charged 320+ tax for nothing. On top they said the part is 561 and he can't guarantee that will fix it.
I thought the service call was 80 and he would tell you what was wrong with it. DO NOT UISE THESE PEOPLE.

The repairman charged us $361.60 for a diagnosis that our Whirlpool washer needed a new drive motor, which would cost and extra $880 plus extra service charges. We ended up just buying another washer for cheaper than that. Do not call these guys!

I organized a repair visit for my 8 year old small duet whirlpool washer. They changed the time for the visit so I had my mother come over to be there. I was boarding a plane when the technician called. He indicated that the parts would be about $350. I asked if that was worth it and he said yes. So I said go ahead. My mom ended up signing a bill for $900!!!! The person had been there for 30 mins and no work started as they didnt have the parts. We called back to cancel and to just pay the service charge of $80. They are making us pay $305 dollars. A new machine is $799.00!!! I question why they are making me pay labour of $305 dollars when no work has been done and we cancelled within 2.5 hours. My husband spoke to customer service and said it was a waste of time.
This company is just ripping you off and I will spread the word. Why would I pay more than a new washer when mine is 8 years old. They are just looking to make money and no company should give you that advice. Shame on Appliance Repairman! BEWARE! This makes me so mad, I might just go to the tv news that do customer advocate series. I also feel they took advantage that my 80 year old mother was there.

SCAM Never call Appliance Repair Guys. Head office is Concord. But they have their scammers all over the province.

Scammed my elderly mom with my disabled husband sitting by watching and listening (he cannot speak). We called for a simple service call to tell us what was wrong with the fridge. $80 plus HST. He got there in minutes; like a vulture waiting for his prey. And was gone less than 15 minutes later with our money.
Asked for ridiculous amount of money to tell us to unplug our fridge.
Didn't bother to tell us the compressor was faulty when we asked what the problem was in order to extract money out of us.
Ask you to sign a form to cover themselves before doing any work so you can't do anything once you realize you've been scammed. Write on the paper you sign later so that it looks like they did work and told you about things they did not.
Igor was the repairman; just like in so many other complaints.
These people take advantage of the elderly and disabled and I'm sure many others.
When I called to ask what the problem was - he was evasive about details. He told me he knew what it was; didn't need any parts and it was complicated, but lucky for me, he could fix it. Then he told my mom to unplug the fridge and wait 2 hours before plugging it back in. Total SCAM. Tell everyone you know.
They know they are scammers. The women who book the appointments and then handle complaints have a script they follow. This is their job. All they do all day is listen to complaints and offer 'good will' refund of $45 in return for giving up your rights to take action against the company.
Don't be stupid like we were. Educate everyone you know.

They told us $85 for repair quote for our dryer. A repairman called Igor came and quoted us $305 for repair. He quoted this immediately without opening the unit. I clearly told him that since it is an old washer, that is the maximum I'm willing to pay. I told him that if anything else is needed, I would be happy to pay $85 and purchase another unit. He GUARANTEED us that he had seen this issue before, no parts were needed, and this was the max we would pay.

5 mins later he told me the issue was fixed. The issue according to him was the lint stuck way below. He asked for payment in cash or debit card. I felt suspect, and told him I could only pay by credit card. He said he would call his company to unlock his terminal. He then came a few mins later and said I could pay by credit card, and I paid $344.65 (after taxes).

He told us the dryer was fixed, and we had a 30 day warranty on the repair done. The mistake we made was to take his word and not test the dryer. I tested the dryer almost immediately and when it didn't work, I called the company back. The company said the technician would call me back, and he did call back with an unlisted number. He told me I needed to run a full cycle with wet clothes to test accurately. When that didn't work, and I called the company back, I was told the technician would call me back again. He never did, My wife & I called the company 2-3 times again that day, and were told to wait for the technicians call by the end of day. When Igor the technician didn't call back, we called the company again, and were told that customer service would call us on Monday (the service was done on Saturday).

The crafty technician had written on our invoice that (a) we need to have our ducts cleaned and (b) we will need new heating enclosure with element for $391.70. When he left on Saturday, he told us we didn't need this but he wrote it because we would eventually need it. He said our unit was good for another 10 years (minimum 5 years).

On Monday, when we called the company (they never did), we were told to first get our 2 foot duct from the dryer to the wall professionally cleaned as that was what Igor the technician had written on the invoice. The duct was clean to begin with, but we cleaned it again and we called the company back. Then the company says that that as per the technician's note on the invoice, an additional $391.70 is needed in parts to repair the dryer, and we would need to pre-pay for the parts in order for them to come out.

When asked about the 30 day repair warranty, the company tells us that warranty is for parts and since there were no parts put in, there is no warranty. When asked what if the part in question didn't fix the issue, the company said that in that case, additional parts may be needed and we would need to pay for those parts too if needed.

When you get upset on the phone, they offer you $45 refund if you sign a waiver against them.

Our technician was Igor and the customer service reps we spoke to were Sonia, Angela and Stefanie. We were just cheated, robbed and made fools of by these scammers.

and says LG parts are expensive. I said you could of told me on the phone your rates, I think the repairman make more just coming to the house and giving these estimates, but I think this is how they make their money. without doing any real work. and I asked to send someone who knows gas as I needed the dryer also moved , said he couldn't do it

I just bought a new washer not LG and I wouldn't recommend these people for anything

They will charge you $ 327 just to look at your appliance and tell you that will cost you hundreds dollars to fix it,if you dicide not to fix your appliance with them you will get charged another $ 90 service charge.
Don’t call them if you don’t want to be ripped-off.

What a joke. I wish I read the reviews on here. This joke of a company shows up at my house to repair my fridge. Cold air was not moving up to my freezer. This guy comes in and after he checks out the fridge for 5min I have an 80 bill. He then tells me if he repairs the fridge it will get put towards the total cost. At this point I’m like whatever man just fix it. After about 10min of thawing out the vents his bill was at 280 and he then proceeds to tell me I need a new control board lol what a joke. So I told him to do it cuz I already went this far. Finally after bout 40 min of unthawing, clicking in a new control board and talking up the price my bill was 650. I should have just bought a new fridge. I was upset to say he least. I can’t believe I offered him a coffee. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I wish I read the reviews first as anyone else. This company stated $80 for a service call. When the repair man came he said it would cost1 $280 to look inside for 45 mins. This is only his labor cost, does not guarantee anything. On top of everything the hose that was leaking - that was part of the dishwasher, he refused to replace.
We ended up sending him away paying 90 (80+tax).
Do not waste your time with them

I wish I read the reviews first. This company stated $80 for a service call. When the repair man came he said it would cost $280 to repair my dryer. Then he said an additional $75 for a total of $400. After I paid and he left. My dryer did not work the next day. I called the company and they advised that they do not guarantee the work. I basically gave away $400 to this company for nothing. They were horrible and I would never recommend them to anyone.

Just want to add my review to all the others. Basically an exact duplicate of all the other reviews here. even the amounts are the same $ 290 to take my dishwasher apart to diagnose a leakage issue ..then they quote me $ 327 for a "G.D." drain hose replacement ! For a $90 part ! Asked them ..what if I supply the part and you just install...quoted me some ridiculous rate. On top of it scratched my hardwood floor all to hell as well. Apparently this outfit is a well known scammer in the business. They pay lots to keep high up on google searches .....wish I had done my due diligence and kept looking down the google page to this site.

I have a 10 years old LG fridge in excellent condition. Last Saturday when I opened it there was no light and it was not working. I suspected that was the fuse that blew off.
Unfortunately, I panicked and I called this company. They told me that the fee was $80.
When the service man showed up, probably he knew what was going on. He told me that the service fee to check the entire fridge would be $320 +tax . He also told me that this would cover the labour for the repair. Sadly, I agreed to it and signed the bill. He took the panel off the control board.
He pocked around the wires and he gave me this well scripted spiel about the modules that are broken and he would have to change the entire control board. It was 15 minutes for $320. He never touched the fuse that looked broken. On Monday he told me that the control board was $700 +tax. Remember- by this time I already paid $320 + tax. I went on line. It turned out the control panel was $195 US with free shipping.
When I called the customer service rep, she told me that the cost covers warranty... labour... shipping & handling... etc Of course they wouldn't give the money back.
Once again I checked on the Internet how to remove the fuse and how to install it with the fuse holder The fuse was soldered in the control panel. It was very easy to do that. It cost me total of $6,
Now the fridge works like new. Do not panic! Go on line find out what the issue is before you call someone. Fortunately, I had an old fridge in the basement that worked very well until we fixed the fuse.
Do not deal with this company!!!!

these thieves came to "fix" my fridge. the guy pretended to work on the fridge and said the fridge needed a new compressor. He said he had to fix 3 other things with the fridge which cost $300. We then contacted LG for our fridge repair as a compressor (parts) is under warranty. When the technician came and saw the invoice from the Appliance Repairman he said that whatever the technician said he did, was not true because if he had done it there is certain evidence that would have shown on the fridge if that work had actually been done. we called and demanded a refund. apparently there is never any management on site just sales representatives. we received a written statement from LG rep stating that the work paid for was never done and even with the written statement they refuse to give the refund for the fraudulent work. they are con artists that steal peoples hard earned money and have no human morals. I have reported them to the BBB! please DO NOT give these thieves your business!!!

Landlord booked an appointment with these guys and they came in asking they haven't got any payment details so they will not be able to do anything and left me with the Invoice of $80. When i called my landlord he said he is coming and giving them the payment but technicians just left in 5 minutes asking to pay for the service call with nothing being done as they didn't have payment details.

When called for asking why am i getting the mails regarding payment and a letter asking that they will send it to collections and that will affect my Credit Score they said as technicians came to your house you have to pay.

How are they allowed to operate like this, it's like extortion. If you don't pay they will send it to Collections even if they didn't do anything.

All the reviews sound the same, too bad I hadn't read them prior to the service visit. My dishwasher wouldn't turn on at all. Did some troubleshooting over the weekend and determined it was either the "main board" or the "control console". Technician shows up and explains to my wife it's the re-circulation pump. I figure, this is what he does for a living he likely knows the common problems. So $280 +tax to remove the dishwasher and clean the pump. After all this the unit still won't work, (won't turn on) and now he says it needs a new "main board". Holy it needs a "Main Board" wasn't that what I thought? So now they want another $682 to complete the repairs stating this includes the "main board" and "control console" and labour. So I couldn't figure out why they first quoted the "main board" and then later also quoted the "control console", well the day after the repairman was here I took the front cover off the diswasher again and found that where there was two wires going from the console to the main board on Saturday now was only one. I called the company to complain and they said that the wire was missing when the guy got onsite (BS), and the service manager also "doesn't take phone calls". I have been a service tech on large printing equipment for over 10 years and the machines I work on are worth $30K - $500K and wiring is a daily occurance. I know 100% that the two wires were there before the technician was in my house. So not only did I get taken on the $300+ service visit, the missing
wire can not be replaced by itself, it comes with the $200 control console. I knew on the Saturday when I was troubleshooting I should have just ordered the parts online and installed them myself, if you are mechanically inclined that's what I would suggest. Not only did they cost me the $318 for the service call they wrecked a $1000 dishwasher that I had to replace. Who knows what the service tech messed up while he was "repairing" the recirculation pump, from my review you can speculate what happened. In my opinion they came in my house, realized he didn't have the parts to make the repairs. Quoted the repairs to the pump knowing that's $300 was a sure thing. Than once that didn't "fix" the machine quoted the "main board", put the dishwasher back together keeping the "wire" in his tool bag. Then when he calls me to quote the final repairs uses SLYDIAL so that his call goes direct to my voicemail, and quotes the "main board" and "control console" because he stole the wire. Unless you have money to burn, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I wish I had known about this site before booking Appliance Repairman. I gave it one star because there was no option for zero stars. Total rip-off. $280 plus taxes for approx 30 minutes of “labor” which had zero effect on the problem. My washing machine was still broken and unusable. I had to go out and buy a new washing machine the next day.
Customer service was like talking to a brick wall.
I am disgusted with this company.

Appliance Repairman – ridiculously expensive and unprofessional

Expensive:

· Charged $120 for a water valve broken by tech on site
· Overall charge was $452.00 tax included. A brand new equivalent GE Dishwasher is $478.00 + tax (84 % its value)
· When calling Appliance Repairman Contact Center prior to tech visit ($80 waived if accepted their labor quote) were unable to share estimate ranges for a simple leakage. However, when tech comes to my place it quickly flags a $280 + tax fee regardless if half an hour or 3 hour. Standard charge. Should I’ve know their ranges from my first call, I would not have requested their service.

Unprofessional:

· No warranty on labor performed. If it fails with same issue, you pay again.
· Technician did not carry a lantern. Had to assist with mine.
· Technician did not carry Teflon sealing tape. Had to provide mine.
Technician did not carry a self-lock force plier. Had to provide mine.

Please do not hire these guys under any circumstance.
