I just want to warn consumers about a bad experience I had with Appliance RepIrman. I called for service and was quoted $80.00 for the visit. The service called and I started asking about my experience with the oven in my hope that it can be be fixed at the least cost. He didn't want to listen and insisted to come. He came and I told him to just check if the heating element is defective and made up a bunch of work to be done. I sensed that the guy is going to scam me. It took him ten minutes to do three types of work and he charged me $316.00. On top of that he told e the heating element is defective and it will cost me additional $300.00 for the element..if only he listened to me to check if the element it would have cost me close to $1100.00 only. By the way, I got the heating element and put my oven back in working condition for only $90.00. Beware to deal with them as to me they are not fair and go out there to take advantage of consumers.j

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! All of the previous reviews are correct.
They ripped me off for $ 316.00 to perform three recommended servcies to correct my refridgerator cooling problems. It was wrong diagnosis. I had an independent expert look at fridge, found out problem. He replaced 4 parts and fridge is working as normal now.

Vendor would only offer to refund $ 65.00 out of the total $ 316.00.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have been dealing with this company over a month and still have not fixed my Fridge. They are charged me over 2800 dollars total and actually made the situation worst. Prior to them coming to fix my fridge it was cooling just not getting down to the right temperature after they came to fix it. The temperature in my Fridge in 73 degree. they will make appointments and not show up. Customer service is useless and not helpful. I have called Meile and had them review the work and after there assessment the work complete by Appliance Repairman was incorrect and lead to repairable Damage. I am in process of taking them to court and filing a compliant with the Ontario Business Bureau. Do not use this company

WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, EVER

I am going to engage my lawyer, the police and the better business bureau. They are criminal thieves. They technically completely incompetent. They are late and "no show" for appointments. They don't return phone calls. They have an automatic disconnect when waiting on the phone. They lie. They want cash payments. The cost of repair was higher than a new appliance. 4 weeks so far to repair a microwave and they took it to their shop where it remains! They won't give you an individual e mail so that no one has to take accountability. I was flipped around from Cynthia, Joy, Mary, Sonya, Angela, Anita and others. An incredibly painful experience. They don't deserve a one star but it was the only way I could provide feedback. My rating is minus one million +
NEVER USE APPLIANCE REPAIRMAN

Just thieves cannot believe they are still in business. Their should not be a star for them. I should have read the reviews as I always do but I was desperate to fix my dishwasher. He wanted to charge me for $325.00 to see where the problem was. AHHHH Well the problem was the drain and it just needed to be vacuumed out. I told him here is your $80.00 service call and get out. I called the company and spoke to Manager she was so rude.
Im calling Bosch on Monday to tel them about my situation.

They are just thieves. The "technician" showed up and checked my stove and charged $280 plus tax. He will check if they can find the parts to have the stove fixed and he's not sure how much they cost. I wish I have found this site a day earlier.
How can we stop this scum bag from conning more people?

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - they do charge a lot saying there is warranty; however after technician left, my dishwasher was still leaking. When I called back they wanted to charge more for the same part! Total charge for part was over 440CAD, when the actual part price is 35CAD. Warranty doesn’t even work. My finall charge was even more then a new dishwasher cost. I called customer service - they said this is what you agreed for! And actually technician just run away while I was on the phone, later stating that I asked him to leave. Really?! They charge not for service as service is not provided. It’s a scam for you to pay for the air!

Repair person was incredibly rude, put deep scratches in my floor while pulling out fridge, and even though we had already told him exactly what the error code was (which he totally didn’t listen to any of our explanation of the issue), he proceeded to say it was going to be another $295 plus tax to do a “diagnosis” of the problem, then who knows how much for parts and they would take a long time to come and are expensive. He then “called” someone and offered to reduce the fee by $15. I am disputing the $80 charge as absolutely no service was rendered, nothing diagnosed and my property destroyed. I kicked him out of the house. BEWARE of these criminals!!!

Everyone needs to file a complaint or this company will continue to rip off its customers: We contacted the Consumer Protection & the Ministry. Here is their comment:
"We cannot take action at this time for the following reason(s):
• Your complaint does not meet our criteria for enforcement action at this time. If the ministry observes a trend in complaints against this business, we may contact you in connection with possible compliance or enforcement action in the future

They steal your money like a professional Thief with out any service it is a company opperated by robbers and many more to say but dont wanna wast my time be careful #people

They will bait you by offering $80 diagnosis for a quote. When they show up, they will tell you a different story

This company is a complete scam. Called to have someone come out to check my washing machine. Told me it would be 80.00 but will waive the service call fee if I decide to have them purchase the parts and repair. Technician came took it apart told me I needed a new drum and rubber door gasket. He told me he could order the gasket but couldn't order the drum but the office would be able to contact Amana directly to order it so he will have them order both. Told me in the mean time he will service the motor and the rotation system $316. Said someone would call me with a price for the parts. Received no phone call I ended up calling only to be told that they can't get the drum. So now I am out $316 and have to buy a new washing machine. I called their customer service they offered me $45 "good will gesture". They refuse to own up that the work should never have been done without knowing if the parts were available. Stay away from this company.

Technician gave me a quote of $325 to fix leaking dishwasher. After he was done the work, he told me it needed a part and he would get me a quote and he had no general idea of the cost. The technician told me he turned the water off. I paid the day's bill, which was a mistake because the d/w still wasn't working. Nobody called with the quote. I had to follow up twice and finally got a price of $750 for the part. So the repair was going to cost $1000 not $325. Who puts $1000 into a d/w when you can buy a new one? They should have given me the full price up front, but they're making it up as they go along. Oh, and the d/w leaked all over the floor because he didn't actually turn the water off.

15/10/2018 I called and a guy came to repair dryer. He promised to repair and gave his price. I agreed. When he finished I found the same noise still there. He said that is the best it can be. I did not agree I said I understand these things I am an engineer and I can tell if the repair is done or not. He replied I don't give a **** what you are and he left the dryer open and left. How do I report this company? And to whom?

this company, in my opinion, operates a scam for inflating their invoices. First, for $80.00 minimum they will come to diagnose your problem. Ok, I can live with that, then they say "for $XXX's ($290 + tax in my case) they can try to fix it. The $80 will be waived. At this point you're stuck. Loose the $80 or let them proceed. $300 later they 'fix' the problem and leave. But they don t fix the problem at all. A little convenient note on the invoice says "if this fix does not work I need to replace the motherboard (or any other part) for an additional $550.00. So the scam is the first visit nothing happens and there is no recourse. Total BS company.

I agreed to pay the $80 call out fee - fair enough. He looked at the fridge and in 45 seconds he assessed the problem and estimated it would cost $360 to fix. I asked how long it would take to which he answered 90 minutes and he might have to replace the circuit board. He completed his task in under 45 minutes (maybe 35?) but still charged me the full $360! First of all - How is it anyone can charge $240 an hour to repair an appliance?? Trades don't get that; professionals don't get that. And then further, when the time estimate is 1/2 way wrong, not reduce the fee charged for the time? This is just wrong. Run away from these guys as fast you can!

I have just concluded a totally unsatisfactory experience with Appliance Repairman who claim to be able to repair Sub-Zero fridges, quoted over $1,600 for the job, and required a 50% deposit. After several weeks delay they were unable to get needed parts from Sub Zero. (It turns out that only Kampen has direct access to parts from Sub Zero). I cancelled the contract with Appliance Repairman, and contacted Kampen, who promptly completed the required work for less than $600. Appliance Repairman did refund most of my deposit, holding on to about 10% of it to cover the cost of the repairman's abortive visit.
So there are 3 scams involved here: 1. False claims to have access to Sub Zero parts; 2. quoting almost 300% more than the actual value of the repair; and 3. taking a huge deposit when they have no ability to deliver the work. Sub-Zero should also bear part of the blame for this situation. Although they refer to Kampen as their Authorized Repair Service, they should make it clear to their purchasers that they do not supply parts to any other repair services. That way people would know not to get involved with outfits like Appliance Repairman.

Like the other review, i had a horrible experience today with them. The technician charged me over $320 to tell me that my refrigerator is a piece of junk and cannot be repaired. While i was willing to pay the $80 service charged he and his company rep insisted that I had agreed with the repairs. So, he spent less than an hour, charged me $322 to tell me that i needed a new refrigerator. This is highly unprofessional and unethical . I will NEVER call them again for anything. I intend to follow this through with the better business bureau and courts if needed.

My experience was the worst one I have ever got. Technician Jaz came and without even taking a look said it would be around $300 for service + cost of the piece. My husband was told by the technician that for him to check the problem he would have to sign the paper. My husband doesn't speak or read English very well. He told the technician he was waiting for the Landlord to give the approval. The technician told him the paper would be just to check the problem. So still under the $80.
The technician said he didn't have the piece needed for the replacement. The landlord got there and after being told the price of the repair, said he didn't want the job done, that it was too expensive. The technician started using the f word with my husband and the Landlord. He was told to leave the house since there were children and a woman in the house as well.
He forgot his receipt book behind, which he later came to pick up with a rudeness that is unexplainable. My kids were even afraid of their dad going to open the door to him. Not one word was said by the technician this time. He ignored my husband when my husband asked if everything was where it should be.
So the technician only did an evaluation, didn't fix anything and we had to pay $209 for something that was not fixed.
Customer service then called, saying that it was under my name ( because I booked the appointment) so I had to pay or it would go to Collections. I offered to pay the $80. But she said that he had been at my house for 45 min so I had to pay $209. $209 for nothing.
This has been the worst experience I have ever had. It should have been something so simple, and instead turned into something so big.
I paid the amount just because we are honorable people and we don't like our names involved in such problems, but I do not recommend this place to anyone.
Just think it's funny how their slogan is : we don't repair it, you don't pay and I'm left with something that isn't fixed and still had to pay.
From what I see from most of the reviews, they are nothing but a bunch of scammers.
