Amber Electric Omdömen 

I've previously written a review for Amber, where I rated them very highly, with a caveat on response times to support queries.
I recently had a problem with my configuration, so I contacted Amber with a "please help as soon as you can" and I am very pleased to say that they got back to me in a couple of hours and fixed the problem quickly. This is a great service improvement, so thanks to the Amber team and clearly reflects the increase in staffing. Well done!

We have both solar panels and a battery and so it made sense to look at Amber's wholesale pricing model. Without the battery switching suppliers would be less attractive. Comparing what our electricity service costs with Amber with what we would have paid with our previous energy retailer, we found that we had saved about 33% over the past year. We did not initially consider Amber's VPP option, but with the latest updates to the way that operates we have increased our battery capacity and have now switched to the Amber smart VPP system. It is still too early to see how that compares. But the decision was prompted by our experience of Amber's ever improving level of customer service, something we never experienced with our previous supplier.

I recently signed up with Amber, I accidentally put in the wrong email address, a quick email to support problem fixed, was very impressed how quickly it was sorted, now will have to wait and see if it lives up to the hype,

Trying to ring Amber is a nightmare- I suggest you email them. I had a request and emailed the company - they answered within 24hrs. We have several emails sent between us. Caha was fantastic understanding and was there to help us. I’ve been with Amber for about 12 months. And am a satisfied customer

Choosing Amber Electric was definitely the right decision for me. Being part of the V2G trial has made it even better. I no longer have high electricity bills, and most of the time I actually receive credits on my account instead. It's been a fantastic experience, and I'm really happy with the savings and the way the system works.

We've been with Amber for over 12 months now and it's a great energy provider that fits our circumstances, anyone with solar, battery and EV combination, I'd say it's a no brainer but would also work in other situations, you just have to do your homework and see if it is right for, we have moved our EV charger from one property to another, changed EV's and added extra batteries. All these changes need adjustment to how your property is managed and whilst it takes a bit of time, the crew at Amber have always been able to assist and very helpful. Don't be put off by the long wait on the phone, these guys are really busy.

Very early days and still learning how to use the app. The help I've received so far has been useful and the Amber team have walked me through and been very responsive to my questions.

Amber was recommended by our solar installer and I’m happy to report they are living up to their great reputation. I like having control over the power settings and the app is wasy to use and understand.

I’ve only just switched, and support has been first class and fast! All questions have been answered quickly and to my satisfaction so far.
Change over was super easy, and the transparent billing is great.

Since joining, we have found them incredibly easy to communicate with, and our electricity bills have consistently been reasonable. Most importantly, we feel genuinely looked after as customers and confident that we are receiving fair and transparent pricing. We would happily recommend Amber Electric to others.

Had a request to remove my system from vpp as I wanted to use Home Assistant instead of Smartshift.

Was very surprised that the email response and action all happened within 24 hrs.

Amber’s App and response times are all excellent, happy to recommend them.

The app was easy to use and to control the flow of power from buying and selling. Very happy that I was able to access wholesale prices on electricity when needed, will use Amber again on another property but will have more battery storage.

I wanted to save the most I could on my electricity costs and Amber made the process easy with an easy to understand process. I don’t really need to work anything out by myself I can just trust that my equipment is doing the best for me.

I have been a customer of Amber for 3 months so far and on the few occasions I have needed assistance, they have been quick with their reply and ready to address my needs. I have found their support team to be courteous, professional and knowledgeable.

I put in a question on Sunday night and had an answer Monday I then had another question which I again put in and again I had an answer the next day
I delt with Keira and was very surprised how quickly the reply came back

I have been with Amber for several years. I started when i installed solar panels and later installed a battery. The first year was great i made a profit of a few hundred dollars. My bills for the past 3 months have totalled $516.28, despite a pensioner concession.
They now want me to pay 2.7% more to use more green energy. Despite my huge investment in panels and battery (full cost, pre subsidy) I am looking for a new provider. Also their customer service is almost nonexistent. There is zero personal service. Sometimes an email enquiry takes a month to get a response. Their chatbots just refer you to FAQ pages!
Their charges are not transparent, and I suspect not the direct wholesale prices they claim.
Plus they charge an ever increasing "membership fee" of $25 per Month, which they claim is their only profit
