The quite efficient manner that I was connected to A mber. The great aspect that we have access to wholesale prices and they are much cheaper than other providers. I find it very difficult to always jave to contact by email and cannot talk to personnel fropm thr company. I find it much better to talk about thing person to person. I think the comany should be naking this more available.

Super easy to deal with. Extremely helpful and very responsive to questions to a new battery user.

We are new to Amber. We decided to take the plunge with a battery and EV charger. We looked around for options to optimise our usage and coasts and Amber seems to fit the bill. Our experrience to date has been really good, with responses to our queries, setting things up. Has been terrific quality of service so far.

Amber has proven to be one of the best energy providers on the market, if not the best. They offer customers a real opportunity to maximum returns on the power system you have at home. Highly recommended for all domestic power users.

Moving to Amber a year ago has lowered my electric bills and maximised the returns I can get from the battery system I had installed then. However, I was ‘quoted’ (yes it was a ‘quote’, not estimate) an average Feed in Tariff of over 60c/kWh. I anticipated that would turn out to be heavily overestimated as more people installed batteries, however the reality is that it has been closer to 11c. Their ‘AI’ SmartShift app is poorly configurable, and despite having virtually all info it should need to really optimise battery charge levels it very rarely makes choices which even a layman would always make. Support/Customer Service from Amber was dreadful in the early months (I’m sure they were inundated along with the federal battery subsidy scheme), but that has improved of late. So, overall I made the right choice at the time, as 11c is about the best FIT I could get and that combined with wholesale prices I can top my battery up with during the day when I need to. Hopefully they can improve SmartShift.

I had an error message that was confusing, the explanation showed a depth of understanding of my particular system that explained the error message so that it made perfect sense.

From the start, I was informed of the process of onboarding of my battery step-by-step, the app is well thought out and easily used
It’s great too have access to the wholesale price of electricity and grid connection ,,, having received first bill I found it clear, concise and well formatted
Overall ,so far excellent and I don’t think I need to look elsewhere for a while

The customer service is quick and easy. Have had an account for a few months and app easy to navigate and works well with battery. It’s winter so being able to be I credit is a huge bonus

I have been a customer with Amber for over 12 months . I have been asking to get copies of my bill emailed to me prior to the money been taken from my account for the last 6 months as it was at the beginning of our agreement . If I have a problem with the coms units on my batteries I cannot get the issue solved as Amber ingnores the problem . My power bills are steadily climbing each month even though I have 20Kwh of battery storage the rebates keep dropping far lower than the amount that I am putting into the grid and I cannot get a response from Amber as to the reasons . I would not recommend Amber to anyone and I am looking to change my provider .

I wasn't able to export energy to the grid and the problem was that the gateway was off the grid for no reason.

I asked from Amber to step in and really quickly problem fixed because they assured me that the problem was not from Amber side, but instead it was absolutely something from my app and they were right.
I reconnected the Gateway to the grid and works immediately.

I am pleased to be part of the Amber VPP.

They have taken time out to look after me very well.
Just recently, I noticed a discrepancy in my latest electriity bill and contacted Amber customer billing team. Caha got back to me immdiately to see what my issue was.
It turned out that they ware doing the right thing and I was mis-reading the bill. I salute team member Caha and trust all all organisations have a staff member like Caha.
I recommend Amber to anyone who has installed backup battery system to join Amber VPP.

Wrong ! Gotan email response within minutes. My query was sorted within 5 minutes, unbelievable these days.

After the initial phone call appointment, there is email communication with the same consultant & other team members to ask subsequent questions & then help with the onboarding. There was a lot to get my head around learning how it worked with my particular system. It really helped me decide whether to give Amber a try.

I have now been with Amber for 4 months and very disappointed with the way they work and lack of communications outside of what appears to be AI

I would recommend people to look at alternatives and not use them
they have there online data , which matches my Fox battery and solar and then next day the bill goes up and the say Ausgrid are supplying power and that the correct info.
if thats correct and they cant see when power is coming in then there algorithms cant be working correctly

They are blaming the solar installer , who in turn says its Amber

I have only been with Amber Electric a little over a month but I can honestly say their service team have been of great assistance ensuring I have everything set up correctly. Their prompt friendly communication has been exceptional. I am more than happy that I made the move to Amber.

Helpful follow through service. Genuine positive support. The programme ticks all my boxes. Smartshift for me is a must. Green energy rules.

Hands down the best energy retailer in Australia. If you aren’t with AMBER, you are making your own life more expensive and difficult. Large energy corporations don’t work for you - they work for their rich shareholders. You are their cash cow that they milk and disrespect. Get serious about saving money and taking total control of your own energy. Switch to AMBER. You won’t regret it.

I been with Amber for +3 years and only recently installed home battery and solar. You cant go wrong paying wholesale rates but need to understand that these are determined by the power distributor (eg. AusNet), not Amber. Have started using SmartShift for managing home battery with mixed results. Its only been 4 months (mostly winter) so need more time to evaluate it?
