I was expecting questions but, in spite of the fact the man I spoke to was very polite and informative, it felt like a means test. I was just looking to release some cash to enjoy my retirement but he made me feel that I didn't need it.

Age Partnership's initial consultation was excellent but let down by their Legal agents, Equilaw!
Age Partnership's initial consultation and support was excellent; faultless in their empathy and understanding of our needs. However this was unfortunately marred by the sloppy and unhelpful nature of the Law providers they recommended, Equilaw. We would NOT recommend them at all! If Age Partnership recommend them then please do not enter into a contract for them to act on your behalf dealing with your legal affairs. They were terrible; failed to take messages to the designated account manager if they were absent; failed to act on our requests for them to return our calls; failed to update us periodically with progress of our equity release; poor customer relations completely and would advise you to consider dealing with another company if these were offered to you. Think seriously about allowing Age Partnership to recommend Equilaw. We had a number of problemsl; they charge a colossal amount in fees; as much as Age did for their introduction and fees which is ludicrous for the amount of work they did and even more unacceptable for the extremely poor service received from them without an apology either verbally or in writing! Totally unacceptable, unprofessional legal work without keeping their clients (US!) informed. Be warned!

My initial contract was with Harry who explained the process of deciding what companies could help me make my decision, I was kept informed of what products were available to me so I could make my decision. I then dealt with Emily who took over my case , again she was very helpful & again kept me fully up to date with the progress of my situation. When everything was in place & the decision was made Emily emailed every time something happened.

I was advised to remove the spray insulation from my house so I could apply for extra income from age Partnership cost me £3100 this was money I could not afford but I was told without doing this I would not get the money and then I was rejected I feel like I have been cheated out of money I hadn’t got.

I would be comfortable recommending Age Partnership to anyone.
I dealt mainly with the same person throughout. He listened properly to my explanations of my situation and my thoughts about what I needed from the service.
I felt that we had genuine conversations about the options available and the advice given seemed sensible and in my best interests.
He was able to answer my questions in a straight forward way without any obfuscations.
It was possible to come to a decision with all the facts to hand that felt and still feels like an excellent option for me.
