2020 Warranty is an appalling company…
2020 Warranty is an appalling company to deal with. Their small print is endless. They would not evaluate the problem via the garage, had to wait a week for a independent surveyor to have a look at the car. Meaning my car was off the road for two weeks plus. The so called independent survey who was being paid by 2020 warranty couldn't find i quote "this fault is not a sudden component failure." As they couldn't get into the component a very interesting conclusion. Basically I would advise going to a more reputable company

We are so sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the outcome. Your claim was assessed in line with the terms of your policy and based on an independent third-party engineer’s report. The findings indicated wear consistent with gradual deterioration (including actuator linkage wear and carbon build-up), with no evidence of a sudden mechanical failure as required under the policy.
Based on this, the claim did not meet the terms of cover. While we understand this is disappointing, we remain confident the decision was made fairly and in line with the agreement. If you remain dissatisfied, you may refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service for independent review.

My Experience with 2020 Warranty Support
Overview of My Warranty Claim 13/02/2026
I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service I received from 2020 Warranty Support. My warranty claim, which was submitted in response to a sudden turbocharger failure, was denied without any clear technical evidence to support the decision. Throughout the process, the company’s explanation for the cause of the failure changed multiple times, creating confusion and uncertainty. Rather than providing a transparent and evidence-based assessment, they appeared to rely on broad assumptions and the opinion of the repairer.
When I requested supporting documentation and clarification regarding the distinctions in their policy, these requests were ignored. The final response from the company closed the discussion, indicating that my only remaining option was to pursue legal action. This rigid and dismissive approach has left me with the impression that customer concerns are not valued and that the claims process is lacking in both fairness and transparency.

The diagnosis and repair in this instance, were carried out by a repairer selected by yourself. As outlined in your policy terms, we rely on the technical findings, measurements, and professional assessment provided by the chosen repairer when reviewing claims. In this case, the repairer reported elevated DPF soot loading, recorded at approximately 208% on the vehicle’s diagnostic register, along with observations that the engine oil level was not registering correctly on the dipstick at the time of inspection. These findings formed part of the evidence reviewed when reaching a decision. The claim was assessed in line with the terms and conditions of your warranty policy, which are applied consistently to all customers. Based on the information provided, the decision was made accordingly. We remain confident that the claim has been handled fairly and appropriately based on the evidence available. Every single person who works for this company should be embarrassed of the choices they've made in life. Their Warranties literally are not worth the paper they are written on.
Buy a car with a 3 month warranty that breaks down immediately. Log with them immediately but can't get a garage appointment over Christmas so by the time I get a quote they reject it because it's taken longer than 30 days (Not my fault and you'd think anyone with even half a brain would give some discretion).
"No Problem i'm still well within my warranty period so just open a new claim"........"Ummmm Computer says NOOO"......"Escalate to management you say? We'll take 6 weeks to get back to you and still weasel our way out of paying anything because REASONS"
Companies like this give the insurance/warranty industry a terrible name. Avoid them like the literal plague at all costs.
Edit after Reply from Company: I'm not asking you to accept anything - I'm telling you, you're what is wrong with the Warranty Industry in one neat package.
I'm telling ANYONE who reads this and even THINKS about giving you 1 Penny to do themselves a massive favour and shop with ANY of your competitors who aren't in fact Scam companies.
Your Guidelines are Rubbish. Your Customer service is Rubbish. Your complaint process is Rubbish. Your Policies are...... You guessed it...... Rubbish.
I was within my Warranty period and you refused to pay the warranty claim. You could have opened another case or reopened the existing case or done anything else but in reality you just didn't want to pay.
I'll repeat: DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING OUT WITH THIS SCAM COMPANY
