I entered the wrong licence plate…
I entered the wrong licence plate number and received a fine for parking contrary to regulations. I had paid and was surprised. I contacted ZZPS customer services and spoke to Alex. He looked into what I had put down as my number and discovered that I missed a letter. I had paid but wrong number. He agreed to rescind the penalty which he did forthwith. His customer communication skills and manner were outstanding.

I didn't receive the original parking fine
Called as the parking fine has been escalated to ZZPS debt recovery despite me not receiving the original parking fine or the subsequent chase letter, due to an error in address. Was told nothing they can do and I need to let it proceed to solicitor level/court. Not happy.

Reference 154665996 - I got a parking notice because I made a typo in my registration. Once I queried it - it was resolved. My question is, when keying in an incorrect registration into the parking payment box, how is this not challenged there, on the spot? Surely you guys know what registrations have entered the car park? Quick enough to send a charge through. So, as a recommendation, instead of hoping people just pay up - make the system challenge incorrect registrations so that we do not have to do unnecessary life admin.

We’re glad to hear that your query was resolved.
We appreciate your suggestion about checking registrations at the point of entry. However, we do not manage the payment system used for parking and therefore cannot maintain a database of vehicle registrations.
The system can only record the details entered at the time of payment. This means that if a registration is entered incorrectly, it cannot be automatically cross-checked, which can, unfortunately, result in situations like the one you experienced.
We understand this can be frustrating and appreciate your feedback. While we are unable to make changes to the payment system ourselves, your comments have been noted.

SABA’s service was very poor
SABA’s service was very poor. I am relieved that my fine was cancelled, but surely it could and should have been been cancelled immediately they received my proof of payment of the parking charge. Instead I was made to wait more than 7 weeks for their cancellation message.

Sorted eventually
Having sent and received numerous correspondence re: a parking fine, I called ZZPS. I spoke to Ezra who took the time to look into the situation and he was able to explain what had happened. He was polite and extremely helpful so I would rate his help at 5 stars however I feel it shouldn't have got this far if an explanation had been provided earlier, hence the 3 star rating. Found ZZPS to be professional and easy to communicate with when I dealt with Alex this afternoon. He really was patient in understanding my parking issue, which related to registration, and resolved this with no argument. Not any easy space to operate in when you likely have irate people on the phone all day, so Kudos to ZZPS and Alex.

Following a shamefully long appeal process, my charge was cancelled, although in its language the business still thought me to be at fault. Autocratic and unpleasant is all I can say.

I had received debt collection letter…
I had received debt collection letter for a PCN which had not been received in the post (possibly an issue my end). I spoke with Luke who was very helpful, listened to my concerns and managed to resolve the issue.
