No way of submitting and agreeing…
No way of submitting and agreeing ‘before’ pictures pre tenancy. Tennant caused huge damage. We had photographic evidece of everything. No compensation at all despite all the photographic evidence and professional quotes for repairs which needed to be done. Wanted a specific format of audit, but this not asked for at start of scheme/ twnnancy.
Have new tennants now thankfully who are respecting the house but I would never consider using this scheme again and would reccomend all landlords avoid.

If there was a zero that would have been my choice … zero deposit is a cunning deception… you have to pay a fee to have the zero deposit, which is not actually zero deposit if it costs you £££ …

We're sorry if there was any confusion when you signed up. To clarify, when you sign up with us you are purchasing a guarantee instead of putting down a traditional deposit. The guarantee is significantly less money than a deposit would be, and this is explained in the terms and conditions.

They should ensure they have Inventory…
They should ensure they have Inventory check in when tenants move in,Carry out check in inventory with tenants to ensure inventory check in accuracy and correctness immediately tenants move in. Use that check in inventory to access at the end of tenancy period.

Looking at your case, I can see that there were a check in and check out report undertaken by the letting agent, which were sent to yourself as part of the claim process.
That being said, while it is advisable that both documents be undertaken with the tenant present, I would advise speaking to your letting agent about this moving forward as this would fall outside of our remit here at Zero Deposit.
