I have played guitar since I was 12 years old. I am now 81. I have owned all of the best Guitars made.
To me those were: the Martin D 28 1950s, the Martin D 35 1967, Gibson I think they’re 45 and the J 200
The Taylor 614 E and their other Guitars with the expression system never worked properly.
I’ve had Guild 12 Strings.
But… I have never had a guitar that plays it easily in his precisely as this instrument. I have the 900 series. Cut away

What quickly told me where we were headed with Zager was when Denny picked out the Fishman
Aura preamp system!
It’s a real beast.

(No, it doesn’t sound like a 1950s D 28 Martin in fact nothing does, But who’s to say it may sound like that in 50 years)
Quite honestly, I don’t sit around the campfire singing Kumbaya. So… A guitar that plugs in and sounds incredible is what I’ve been seeking for years.
Denny found an amazing combination between Fishman, the monarch of Acoustic Sound reinforcement, and Zager Guitars.
His pillow touch or Easy play Strings match perfectly with the Easy play neck.
Now after 70 years of this, do you think I might’ve figured it out but I Can’t.
Somehow, with his decades of tweaking he, he’s come up with an incredibly different guitar

Particularly if you look professional like me in practice during the day and have to perform at It’s actually easy on the fingers. I don’t know why, but it is.!!

I am beyond thrilled with my Zager ZAD 20 e/n! It is an amazing, beautiful guitar that is allowing me to continue playing with my arthritis in my left hand! And the customer service is spectacular too! In this AI ageI didn’t think there were still businesses where you could actually contact a real person. But Dennis Zager and his staff do offer real service after the sale! Try Zager you will be glad you did!

I love playing my Zager guitar! With other guitars my fingers start hurting and I put the guitar down and don't pick it up for a while and then I start all over again. With the Zager guitar I play it every day because of its playability. I might be getting better!😀

I've come to love Zagers, the guitars and the family that builds them. The Zager family really DOES care that you are happy with the guitar they built. They take your happiness very seriously. It's a personal point of family pride for them. How cool is it to buy a hand built guitar from a person that has sawdust on their sleeves from building it? My CE80 is the best sounding and easiest playing acoustic guitar I've ever owned. The soundboard is so well tuned/balanced that notes above the 12th fret on the high E string are as loud as any open E or A strings played aggressively. Chords with big intervals between notes still have volume balance and harmony. The tuning machines and nut are almost magical. The guitar is so solid that tuning to drop-D only requires the re-tuning of the E string to D. No other strings need retuned as a result of the lower torque on the E string. That is just plain weird.
If I wanted to build my own CE80 I'd have to buy tone wood blanks. The Brazilian rosewood blanks I would need are for sale on StewMac listed for $1750. That's $1750 just to buy some of the wood in my CE80. I only paid $1995 for the guitar... already built. Beautifully

I was looking for a nice acoustic guitar to grow old with and found Zager Guitars .I was curious but unsure and scheptical . I decided to give them a chance . The very nice people helped me find what I was looking for . The guitar and all the accessories arrived very quickly . I opened the case and saw a beautiful guitar and with the first strum I could tell it was very projective . I fell in love with the sound and it keeps getting better . I easily set up the playability to be comparable to an electric guitar . I knew that I had to have another . The Zager family has gone above and beyond to keep me playing . The guitar (ZAD900CE Solid Spruce/Rosewood Acoustic Electric AURA Pro Series), guitar case, and everything associated with my order has been just great!

The Zager 900CE guitar is by far my favorite acoustic guitar that I’ve ever played - - and I have played quite a few, with a vintage Gibson Dove and a Larrivee OM-10 Deluxe Rosewood among the guitars I currently still own… The Zager guitar has an exquisite sound, perfect intonation, and is just a pleasure to play. It clearly deserves the “easy play” description you have given your guitars.

And in addition to the ZAD900CE, Zager had a buy one, get another full size guitar (BOGO) for free. I was not expecting much from the BOGO guitar, but when it arrived this month I was very surprised.. Clearly it is a less expensive guitar, but it plays very well, has good intonation, and a fretboard that doesn't tear up your fingers like a lot of other inexpensive guitars.. So even for the less expensive guitar, Zager has delivered an instrument that is very playable!!

I could go on, but I’ll stop here. Suffice it to say that I am so happy that I finally ordered the Zager guitar… It will be my go to acoustic guitar from this point on.

I was grateful to have been raised by my musically talented grandfather.He was born in an era when you could still afford Martins best made guitars. He owned some guitars that would be very valuable today. He owned and played a couple different Martins, that were built in the 1930/40s.One was a D-18 the other was a D-28. Great sounding guitars no doubt. The reason I bring this up is when I decided to buy my first guitar, I naturally bought a Martin.It was a great sounding guitar as well. Then I saw an advertisement for the Zager brand. It was supposed to be easer to play due to the guilty build and setup. I had been dealing with arthritis in my hands and wanted to try one. Well I bought the Zag-50 sunburst addition. All I can say is WOW. It was much easer to play and still held a bold beautiful sound with less stress on my hands. PS It was almost to handsome to play. Truly a beautiful instrument. It was easer to play as advertised over the Martin that I had bought. Unfortunately as with a lot of folks,times got tough. I had to sell both guitars. I did sell the Martin first. I held onto the Zager as long as I could. I sold my Zager to a friend who owns several different brands of guitars. He was very impressed with the Zager as well. He now plays his Zager more often than the others. I believe in America family business as with the Zager family. Given a choice I always purchase America made products. In this case with the Zager family, you truly get treated as you would have in what I like to call the good old days. They sell beautifully built high quality guitars at a very reasonable price. I will purchase another Zager as as possible. It all comes down to this. I would highly recommend Mr Zager and his family’s outstanding guitars. I can not say I have personally meet them. But what I I can say is when I asked a question they personally answered it, not someone in a secondary market. Give them a try I know you will be as satisfied as I am.

I have enjoyed my ZAD50CE for over 6 years. My Zager's tone and playability have helped me attain a level of play above my expectations. Every question or concern that I have had, has been responded to with respect, speed and professionalism. Always a pleasure communicating with any one of Zager's staff.

I got my 1st Zager guitar in 2005. A ZAD50CE natural. It is a beautiful quality instrument. It feels great, it plays even better. They really are easier to play. the next year I got a black ZAD50 to travel with. And I found the Zager mahogany traveler which goes with me now. Great sounding smaller size guitar. Then in 2008 I got a ZAD80 with the cedar top. I was amazed at how much warmer the cedar top sounded. Now I have 4 and when any of my friends play one, they all say the same thing. They play really good, and feel like quality. Dennis & Dennis Jr and all of the staff at Zager Guitars have been great to work with. No issues with any of my guitars. I have gotten several accessories that are really nice. I highly recommend the Zager Guitars.

The fact that you care about what you make and you can tell when my guitar arrived in the awsome case.my guitar had something over the hole I had to email to make sure I could remove it foud out it's a humidifier felt little embarrassed but the guitar was so nice i didn't want to hurt it. I've owned my Zager 900CE for almost a year, now - and I'm highly satisfied, BTW, and so glad I purchased it! In fact, I have only 2 more payments and it's officially mine (thanks to your sale price, plus zero tax & shipping & interest! You wouldn't know, since you have so many customers, but I bugged your staff for at least six months before pulling the trigger - playing other guitars at my local music stores and then writing them with follow-up questions of all sorts. I'm an auditor by profession, though, and I had to verify all the hype on my own - only to find out it's actually true! The sound, playability, and build quality is as you say - and more. Trust me, I've played as many of your competitors' guitars as possible (i.e., most). My 'audit' opinion is that my Zager 900CE plays as well or better than guitars twice as expensive - which is the price point at which I stopped.
Anyway, I've bopped around between a few music teachers, but have been dissatisfied so far. I see, though, that several of your testimonials are very positive about the Zager guitar lessons. Frankly, I'm embarrassed that I haven't tried them yet. Please, then, can you remind me how to access the lessons? I'd appreciate whatever you can tell me.
Oh, and my son has been eyeing my 900CE more and more, and borrowing it more often. Coincidentally, I've been thinking I should have bought an OM, for a more comfortable size. So, if you don't mind, please advise me when you're having another sale on the 900CEOM (either Anniversary edition or on the 'regular' models). I think my family will be at least a repeat customer. Thank you, Mr. Zager, for such a fine product! I'm just really beginning to learn, but I'm certain it makes me sound better than I am!

Well, after several months since purchasing and enjoying the heck out of my ZAD900CE, the folks at Zager Guitars had a sale that I couldn't pass up! So, I just recently received delivery of my second Zager guitar - a ZAD900CEOM! Still unbelievable quality and, despite being an OM size (they advertise something like 15% smaller, I think), it sounds fantastic! I truly love playing both, and so do my friends that stop over from time to time! Easy playing, great quality and a great price. And, NO, I'm not related to the Zagers nor have any connection with them or their products (in case anyone is wondering) - except for enjoying them so very much! That little adjustment Mr. Zager reportedly made to the string placement seems to make a big difference to my hands, and the sound is truly great. Down the road, in fact, I'd like to add one more to my collection (their full mahogany model) to give me the trifecta of great guitars). Until then, I'm a very happy guitar player with the Zager models I currently own. And, as before, the personal service they provided (I'm a little picky, and indecisive, and always afraid to just charge ahead with a purchase without fairly extensive up-front investigation) has surprised me with both of my purchases. My experiences, then, have all been first rate, prompt, and helpful to the extreme in all respects!

Zager Guitars has excellent communication and customer service. They are as high quality as the guitars they build. I ordered a guitar and it shipped within a week. When it arrived, it was a true beauty. The quality of the build and attention to detail is top-notch, and it sounds fantastic. It has a hard shell case that is sturdy and well-padded and reasonably light for what it is, with a hygrothermometer and sound hole humidifier to help regulate its environment, and other "case candy" with their anniversary package like extra strings, picks, strap, pick guard, etc. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and it gives me a lot of incentive to become a better player to be worthy of this guitar. I love this guitar. The flat black is amazing. Reminds me of Cash.
This guitar plays even easier than most T4&l()r$ or a G1b$0n$. The sound is very robust for a slightly smaller guitar but I found the body is a little bit wider than most, so it gives a sound like a huge dreadnaught, but without the sore arm from having to shoulder it.
I can't wait to get the 900CE!!!

Received a beautiful guitar in short order that is constructed with the highest attention to detail and appearance as it is to tone. It is "opening up" after just two weeks and I anticipate a truly great sounding instrument in years to come.

I played a Taylor for years and got a whim to try a Zager. I got the ZAD80. I haven’t played the Taylor (don’t get me wrong, a great guitar), since.
