Called quite a few times of late

Called quite a few times of late. However, this is on today’s experience.
Karen was genuinely incredibly helpful and provided real support & guidance.

The staff on the phone were very helpful. Unfortunately it was not there fault that the documents I requested on 2 occasions have not been received by myself in the post. This is obviously a fault with Royal Mail.

7 months later..Still nothing.

My dads pension has been passed to trustees 3 times now, They also decided that i was not entitled to claim for him but instead my mother whom he divorced 30+ years before his death. Now they say she can't claim it either so its back to a trustee for decisions. My dad passed away 7 months ago & its still not sorted.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. All phone numbers on paperwork go straight to voicemail and no one calls back. So emailed instead. Waited 2 months to try and get information, and when they eventually answered, they didn’t even provide what I asked for. So now back to square one and waiting.

Call taker was extremely helpful

Call taker was extremely helpful , however the time taken to complete a pension sharing order has taken well over six months. Whilst this is not wholly an xps issue , it is also the fault of Equiniti the previous provider who were asked to complete this in 2021

Where is my lump sum?

I retired on 11th March 2026. I sent all my paperwork with my options in November 2025. These were added to my file in December 2025. I heard nothing until the 9th March 2026 when I was informed my lump sum payment was being "processed". I recieved written confirmation that my lump sum would be paid 5 working days after the date of retirement (11th March). As I write, it is the 5th working day after my retirement, and no lump sum. I phoned XPS yesterday for some sort of reassurance. I was informed the paperwork "wasnt signed off" and I should have recieved an exact date for payment. I would recieve a confirmation email by the end of the day.....this was yesterday....NOTHING. Apart from the fact youre on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes when you ring them (my record is 1hr 20 mins), I feel like I am being fobbed off everytime. I had had to cancel 2 appts I made today as I had relied on my money going in and it hasn't. Where is MY pension????? Furthermore I am curious how much interest MY pension is accruing in YOUR bank account. Absolutely shocking "service" from this company. You have literally made what shouldve been a happy time in my life, for my family, into an absolute nightmare.

XPS have very friendly staff but they…

XPS have very friendly staff but they seem unable to progress any queries. The turnaround time on any correspondence is around 10 days even though I have requested a call in case of any issues progressing my pension. I am now more than a month past
My retirement date and have been trying to resolve this since December. The staff seem unable to contact trustees directly to sort out any issues. The company I was with is relatively small and the number of new retirees at any time cannot be more than 5 or so but I still cannot get a clear answer on when my pension or lump sum will be paid.
