My boiler was serviced by the engineer Your Repair allocated to me. 6 weeks later the boiler failed due to a blocked condensate trap. This happened on a Friday and Your Repair couldn't get me an engineer till after the weekend so I was faced with having no hot water for 3 to 4 days. I therefore called an independent emergency heating engineer who fixed it on the Friday night and told me that the condensate trap clearly hadn't been cleaned on the service which had caused this failure. I checked the job sheet and sure enough the box for confirming that task had been left blank. I complained to Your Repair as they hadn't carried out a satisfactory service which had resulted in boiler failure. They admitted the engineer had missed the task but then refused to refund me for the service. Their customer service was terrible with broken promises and not bothering to call you back and e-mails to me since have been quite harassing to be honest. I guess when you think about it given the cheap premiums they charge they can't be paying the engineers much to do a service which in turn means you get engineers rushing just to make a decent wage in a day. In my case it meant an engineer taking a shortcut that lead to the boiler failing but my concern would be is what other short cuts are taken and is this leading to possible safety issues? Anyway, this has ended up costing me a lot more in the long run fixing their mistakes so my advice is just get a service from a reputable local engineer instead.

John the Gas engineer phoned to tell me he would be with me within the next half hour. On arrival, he was courteous, efficient & friendly (and tidy) and I was delighted with the service. And my boiler passed muster with no problems which was excellent.

The lines were busy when I called but the call back service worked well. Sarah called me back within 10 minutes and sorted out my renewal perfectly. All round an excellent service.

Absolute scam. My repair plan automatically renews which you cannot change and I'm now 8 days into a new contract and they tell me that to cancel it I have to pay up the full year £184, I'm canceling because they are too expensive and I still have to pay for it. They rely on people missing the renewal date and forcing them to overpay for a further year.

Just joined so can't say much seen some reviews so hopefully we will get a great result for our money.

I’m unsure, and will wait to see what happens with the gas safety inspection this November. I left historically because for whatever reason, Your Repair failed to carry out this inspection in the legally required time frames.
The guy I spoke to who set up my new account was nice; however, when the docs came through, he’d listed the property address covered completely wrong, he also didn’t note down the date of the last CP12 even though I gave this to him. Another person I then spoke to corrected the address and noted when the CP12 was legally due - so the jury is out. I know all Homecare boiler agreements are not what they were, but I’m really hoping they at least fulfill the legal obligations bit.

Excellent customer service. I had a query regarding renewal and my call was answered promptly by Sarah who was courteous and efficient. My questions were answered and she was able to apply a discount to my renewal. Definitely worth calling before renewal!

It was a simple procedure to sign up too.
I'm hoping the after sales boiler cover turns out to be also.
