I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience at Wood Medispa.
Firstly, I visited for a consult on recommendation and I was sold from my first meeting with James. He made me feel so completely at ease and I had complete confidence in him and his work.
Nothing was too much trouble and he was available to discuss the smallest details with me when I was having a mini panic before surgery.
More importantly. The results. I am THRILLED and since having my breast reduction, it has amazed me how many people have piped up saying that James had been there surgeon also! Which just speaks volumes about how highly regarded he is.
My stay at the hospital was perfect, and don't get me started on the food. NHS hospital food this is not (god bless the NHS of course)
And every single member of staff was exceptional - special mention to the gorgeous nurses that looked after me post op and I salute James and Will for my fantastic breasts. I feel 25 again (well, my boobs do)
Next up facelift.. joke (but when I do it'll be James performing it thats for certain)

I went in for a deep plane neck facelift and chin implant, fully expecting a slightly daunting experience. Instead, it felt more like being handled by people who quietly know they’re very good at what they do.

The surgeon had that rare combination of precision and restraint, no overselling, no theatrics, just clear reasoning and a plan that actually made sense. The team struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, which made the whole process far less intimidating than I’d imagined.

Recovery wasn’t exactly a spa break, but it was well managed and never felt chaotic or uncertain. Every stage felt considered. Wood is just an amazing zen place to be, the grounds food, ambiance, wonderful.

The result is the real highlight, refined, natural, and just structured enough that people notice something’s improved without quite knowing what. Exactly what I wanted, James truly is gifted, the team were amazing.

I had a full “mummy makeover” including a tummy tuck, diastasis recti repair, hernia repair, as well as a breast lift and augmentation with James McDiarmid, and from my very first consultation, I knew I was in safe hands.
On arrival for surgery, I was understandably a little nervous, but every single person I encountered put me completely at ease even the receptionist, who kindly lit a log fire while we waited, which was such a thoughtful touch. The theatre team were equally reassuring, helping calm any last-minute nerves with their warmth and professionalism.
My stay on the ward was just as impressive. The care was outstanding, and I have to give a special mention to Zoe and Holly, who were incredibly kind and attentive, always checking in and making sure I was comfortable. They even made me a delicious coffee with toffee syrup, which quickly became my favourite little treat!
I stayed for two nights, and I genuinely didn’t want to leave... the food alone was second to none.
Now, at 6 weeks post-surgery, I’m healing really well and absolutely thrilled with my results. My confidence has completely returned, and I feel like myself again. It’s truly been life-changing, and I’m so grateful to Mr McDiarmid for his skill and care.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this team to anyone considering similar surgery.

I had breast augmentation and the experience was 5* from start to finish, could not recommend enough. The result is better than I could’ve imagined exactly what I asked for.

What can I say about James McDiarmid at the WoodMediSpa - just don’t go anywhere else! I had such a fantastic experience from start to finish and travelled nearly 3 hours to come here specifically because of the reputation. I had a full tummy tuck with breast lift and stayed in for 2 nights. First of all the theatre staff were just wonderful - Hilary, Bella, Kevin and Louis and really put me at ease. The staff on the ward specifically Holly and Zoe just were so lovey and made the whole experience extra special. The food was out of this world and I’ll be honest when it was time to leave after the second night I didn’t want to be discharged. Mandy was also so helpful when booking everything and communicating via email. The results of my operation are just life changing and the recovery was so smooth and I really feel that’s down to the expertise of Mr McDiarmid. Thank you so much!

I have recently recovered from a brachioplasty (Arm Lift ) and Ear lobe repair and reduction with James Mc Diarmid at Wood Medispa it’s early days in my recovery but I’m delighted with my results so far !
This is the third time that James has operated on me and I would recommend him to anyone ! His attention to detail is outstanding, he explains everything in a calm reassuring way and puts you fully at ease.
The team at Wood are so kind and attentive, nothing is too much trouble any questions or concerns I had were always answered quickly and treated promptly.
I only wish I had more time to try the wonderful food offerings as the menu looked incredible !
If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would !

I had a tummy tuck and liposuction procedure with James McDiarmid at the beginning of the year. The care I received whilst I was waiting for my surgery and the post operative care was fantastic, both from James and the nursing team. Everyone raves about the food and it definitely lives up to the hype, with a variety of delicious meals to choose from. I had a minor post surgery complication following my discharge and I was booked into see James without hesitation. I have been very impressed with the regular follow up appointments and have recommended James and the Wood Medispa team to several people.

Four weeks after my tummy tuck and breast augmentation, I can honestly say I’m absolutely thrilled with my results. The outcome has exceeded all expectations everything looks incredible, and the scarring is minimal.

From start to finish, the entire experience has been exceptional. The care I received before surgery, during my stay, and throughout recovery has been outstanding. The aftercare in particular has been second to none, and I've always felt supported and well looked after.

I’ve already shared my before-and-after results with so many people because I can’t stop talking about how amazing the whole journey has been. And I have to mention the surroundings too... the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are lovely, and the food… the food was genuinely fantastic! Even my allergies were catered for with no questions or issues !

I truly can’t recommend this experience highly enough, it has been better than I ever imagined. I’ll definitely be returning in the near future for further procedures to complete my weight loss journey, and I’m already looking forward to it.

History - I had IVF to have my child many years ago and the hormone drugs accelerated by cup size quite dramatically - so in 2007 James McDiarmid performed a breast augmentation procedure I requested. His attention to detail was amazing to ensure I was in proportion rather than overboard and I have been more than happy over the years .....
But at 57 I decided I would remove them and have a breast reduction, so he was the best choice for my return. I am so happy with the results - he is so experienced and seems to have an eye for what you should look like. This was 2 weeks ago - I was instantly happy and although not recovered fully, I can wholeheartedly say from the point of consultation at Wood Medispa - the whole experience was outstanding, from the receptionists to the nurses (Holly, Alpha, Sam, Julie and Keeley) who looked after me so well - nothing was too much trouble especially when you drink as much tea as I do ! to the chefs - Ryan and Alfie - the food was perfect - I chose light bites after surgery but there was a more elaborate cuisine if you wanted it, to the best breakfast ever - you'd think you were in a 5 star hotel.. The surroundings are awesome and follow up care is second to none - My advice is don't look anywhere else and if you are on a budget as such you will be surprised how reasonable it is. I’m having continued treatment at wood MediSpa with Dr Yusur Al-Nuaimi for deep acne scars (and some cyctic acne treatment). I’ve been seeing Yusur for about 18 months with plans into next year.

Yusur and the rest of the team (assistants (I mostly see Ella) and receptionist staff (I mostly see Rachel)) have been amazing over the past 18 months.

I have had a mixture of treatments and I am seeing some improvements to my scarring, it’s been a long journey and it’s certainly not over yet but I can tell that there is a lot of care from them about my results, and my comfort! I ask a lot of questions and Yusur takes the time to answer them all.

Second surgery here at the most beautiful hospital I'm sure! This time I came to Wood for liposuction and skin tightening due to lipodema in my upper arms. Surgery was performed by Dr Mouzakis and Dr McDiarmid. Results are unbelievable, I am completely overjoyed. From booking to last check up, the whole team have been incredible yet again. Nothing is too much to ask and everyone goes well above and beyond their roles to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I would genuinely recommend this team to anyone who is considering any kind of treatment. Don't be put off by the remote location. It is the most tranquil and elite setting that boasts so much history and breathtaking sights. Definitely worth the distance and money. You cannot put a price on your health, care and recovery. Thanks to everyone at Wood including James, Michael, Felicity, Mandy, Holly, Louis and all the others that were so kind and accomodating. I know I have forgotten some names, but your care has also not gone unnoticed 🥰

I cannot recommend James Mcdiarmid highly enough and his lovely team. From my first consultation for Deep plane and C02 Laser James made me feel very at ease explaining everything about the procedure clearly. He was very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I booked my surgery and was very confident that James was the surgeon I wanted as after all it’s a big decision to make. On the day of my surgery I felt a little nervous but again was made to feel very much at ease by James and the lovely nurses.
My surgery went very well with minimal pain quite a bit of bruising around eyes (Upper & lower Bleph). Only to be expected and soreness from the Laser treatment. I was very well taken care of (2 nights, could have stayed a month due to fantastic setting and location). by the loveliest nurses and loved meeting Zoe who was so chatty and smiling all the time. A great lift when you’re feeling a little sore. I never got to meet the Chef but his meals were totally five star yummylicious..
I’m now 6 weeks post op and my results are already incredible. I know I’ve still got a little time to go for the final result but hell I’m very happy now !! I can’t thank James enough for his outstanding skill and look forward to seeing him in the near future.

One year on from my abdominoplasty surgery. I am so grateful and pleased with Wood medi spa, James Mcdiarmid is an amazing surgeon and has time for his patients, the nurses, admin staff are so friendly, helpful. I stayed in the hospital for two nights and didn’t want to leave 5* the food is grown there and is outstanding. My recovery I always had someone on the end of the phone. My aftercare was brilliant. It was the best thing I’ve ever given myself. Please if considering surgery put Wood medi spa as your first call.
