If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. DO NOT trust this app with anything even remotely important.
I had an absolute nightmare experience using WiseFax today. I needed to fax highly sensitive, legally binding tax documents to the IRS on the final deadline day. I downloaded the app, uploaded my PDFs, and it happily and instantly charged my Apple account for their "fax tokens."
And then? Catastrophic failure.
The app completely froze and got permanently stuck in the "sending" process. It never transmitted the fax. No error message, no fallback, just an endless broken loop. It essentially pocketed my money and left me completely stranded while the clock was ticking on a massive $25,000 government penalty.
I was facing severe legal and financial consequences because this app couldn't perform the ONE basic function it advertises. I had to scramble in a panic at the last second to find a reliable competitor to actually get my documents transmitted.
I make way too much money per hour to waste my life dealing with a broken, amateur app that takes your cash and delivers absolutely zero service.
If you have legal documents, government forms, contracts, or literally anything that matters, STAY FAR AWAY from WiseFax. They will gladly take your money and leave you hanging when it counts. Absolute garbage. Filed for a refund immediately.

I had a very good experience with WiseFax. I needed an EIN for my Wyoming business, and the process was easy, clear, and transparent. I had specifically looked for a provider that could supply a transmission report, and WiseFax was able to do that, which was important in my case. Most importantly, the filing went through successfully and I received my EIN. I’m grateful for the service and would definitely recommend them.

I enrolled in the 8.00 month plan and while in the middle of sending a fax I found that I need to pay 1.00 per additional page as I am allowed to send 10. There is no information about plans to get additional pages or how many pages you can send with that plan.
The site is dubious. I tried to contact support email and got 550 Request failed; Mailbox unavailable
The is no other way to contact, no phone number. I contacted Pay PaL and got a refund.

It's a very expensive service. The price conditions are not so clear on the web platform. That's why I complain twice. Absolutlely don't try it!

Fax in 2025 is a retro thing! I used WiseFax to have a fax line for a foreign EIN application from the IRS. This requires faxing the application and then waiting a few weeks for a return fax. WiseFax sent and received perfectly. While waiting for the IRS return fax, I tested my fax service twice, sending a test fax from another free fax sending service. I needed to check that when the IRS faxed back, that my fax line was active and working. All good. 24 Days later, the IRS fax came through and I discontinued my WiseFax service. I gave only 4 stars because WiseFax emailed me from a vanaia.com account, initially causing doubts about their legitimacy. Also, their website frequently requires me to sign in again. These are just wrinkles in an otherwise good experience. Their dashboard and document upload/download is solid, and their email notifications work well.

I sent a fax three times on the same day to the same recipient. Using WiseFax, I sent one before noon. I RESENT the same fax again early in the afternoon because the recipient had not received the previous fax. After a few more hours and believing I was out $8 for a service that was not working at all, I finally went to a UPS store and faxed from there. After paying AGAIN to fax 4 pages, they got them quickly. As for the faxes I sent through WiseFax...They got them the next day! I need a faster service.
The time stamps on the faxes sent were also wrong for my time zone. I contacted WiseFax and they are aware of the time zone issue.
I unsubscribed the next day when the recipient told me the other 2 faxes had come through.
