Wickes - Reading Omdömen 

Brilliant Wickes Store. Got everything I need to work on my house refurb !
Also, Lizzy is a superstar. Most helpful person , really knowledgable, friendly and smiley !

If we could give 0 starts we would, this company is joke, we purchased a kichen back in June in the Nottingham Cental Store, we were sent a fitter which refused to send a itemised/breakdown invoice wanted part cash payment, Whickes admitted this was not the correct procedure, we then tried to re allocate a Whickes fitter to cut a long story short, the manager who shedules the fitters was at the time on holiday for 2 weeks,and no one from Whickes could advise us on how long it would tike for a new fitter to be allocated, bearing in mind we had no kitchen, We therfore cancelled the fitter and went with our own as we had no other choice. Our fitter started work anf by day 2 of opening boxes there were parts missing, damaged cabinets,we called Wickes customer services and were told it would take 5 days to get the replacment parts too us, not ideal as we only had ou fitter for a week, and he had other work commitments , so in desperation we called the Nottingham Central store to get a emergency appointment with a designer to hopefully find a solution, we were told no designers were avavailble intil Friday , this was Tueday, again not helpful, no one could help us from Store or customer service despite knowing we had no kitchen, They didnt care, or wanted to help.
We had the phone put down on us twice at the Nottingham Cetral store making us feel we were the problem, We then after experiencing rude , unhelpful staff, no one calling us back when promised ect, we then took the decison to send the whole kitchen back. This was again not easy to do , we had conflicting informaton .We were told by Nottingham Central Store that if we had opened boxes we couldnt send the opened boxes back, even though it clearly states on the box please check parts bfore onstallation, and as we said how else do you know if aparts are complete and undamaged without opening boxes?. The boxes the kitchen were packed in had no added protection on the corners and the cardboard was flimsy, not suprising the parts were damaged. Finally we manged to send the kitchen back,but we have had to wait 3 weeks after all the kitcken was returned to get our £3,000 deposit refunded, after constantly chasing , which we needed as we had to go to another supplier to order another kitchen.
We had to pay our fitter 2 days for work he couldnt do, not his fault and we are now trying to get this money back from Whicks as we dont see why we should be out of pocket as it was Whickes errors, sending falty ,inconplete goods and a fiiter who tried to invoice and asking for part cash!!!,
Suprise! suprise! Wickes have refused to refund us the 2 days for our fitter and offered us £200, a insult.
So we have no other option than to refere this to the Onbudsman. PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH WICKES ONCE THEY HAVE YOU MONEY THEY DONT CARE.

Lizzy was kind and correct with mixing the paint today for me ! Straight forward no confusion knew what she was doing amazing !

Wickes very kindly allowed us to exchange all the pieces of mini guttering for standard guttering even though we had gone over our 30 day returns date. We were then helped enormously by Lizzy on the shop floor who selected all the correct pieces we needed for our guttering . Thank you Wickes and a special thank you to Lizzy

I was helped out by Lizzy, who was cheerful, knowledgeable and very helpful throughout.

I came in store and was very unsure about what to buy for my paint project.

Neesha and Xiomara helped me and were very nice.

Lizzy was amazing she helped myself and my partner mix some paint she went through what paints they had and what would be best suitable for us she also helped me pick a amazing colour for my bathroom even if my partner didn’t agree haha

Great experience when shopping for paint samples - Lizzy answered all my questions, took the time to explain what was available and made sure it fit my needs before mixing the paint. Customer service hasn’t been the store’s forte on several of my previous visits, making this experience stand out even more

Went in for some paint samples and needed one mixed up. Lizzy was about to go on her break but stopped to help us and was so lovely and helpful. I really appreciated this as have been in the store before and received not so nice customer service.

​I had a brilliant experience at my local Wickes store (Tilehurst), all thanks to Lizzy. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went completely above and beyond to help me out. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and her helpful attitude made my visit completely stress-free. It’s rare to find customer service this attentive and genuinely pleasant—Lizzy is an absolute credit to the team!

Nadeem and Nick were absolutely amazing with the hard work and help they provided with my chainsaw.

It was very difficult to put together and they still managed to get it sorted for me.

I will be forever grateful for these two members of staff and they are an asset to the Reading Wickes team.
