Wickes - Havant Omdömen 

Very disappointed that you can not exchange an online product without having to pay delivery.

Spending on average £600 per month on house renovations yet you would not help swap over a product, Havant branch (Manager?) stated ‘it was your fault for ordering the wrong colour.’ Really?very unhelpful and would not assist as it was an online purchase.

We had our kitchen designed by Adam back in January 2025. Initially we designed it in the original location and Adam was very welcoming, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in doing this. We confirmed and arranged payment options for design and booked a delivery date of April. We then changed our minds and decided to change the location of our kitchen completely within our home (from the front of the house to the back). We contacted Adam who was more than happy to come out to us, measure up from new, and start again with a completely blank canvas. He helped us figure out a design, from the few that we had thought of, and added things that we would never had considered that really worked in the space.

Upon delivery (which went without a hitch) Everything was accounted for and arrived as expected. We were fitting the kitchen ourselves, so it was a challenge but the designed was well thought out and helped with measurements etc. We had a 12mm solid laminate that we never never fitted before, so Adam recommend fitters who would be able to fit this for us (at an extra cost, but that was our decison) they were efficient, knowledgeable and completed the fitting very professionally. We were so please (far better than we could have done).

There were a few snags along the journey. Nearing completion of the fit, we had a damaged fridge freezer door and a damaged filler panel. We contacted Adam who liaised with the customer services for us and the issues were resolved with time, and a bit of back and forth. Adam was more than professional and helpful throughout. Couldn't have asked for more. We have now completed this project, 7 months in the process, and Adam was there every step of the way....he even popped round when we had finished, to see the finished design on person!

We would not hesitate to recommend the Havant Kitchen design team, and particularly Adam. We had such a positive experience and this is what you need when you are spending a lot of money, as it can be a very stressful experience. I have already been spreading the word and telling all who will listen how good an experience we had with the Havant Wickes team, when designing, buying and installing our amazing kitchen. Thankyou we love it 😀

We went to the Wickes In Havant, bringing back a return we had , but couldn’t find a receipt, so the really patient lady on the tills called liz found the purchase we had brought it took a bit of time but she was really lovely and helpful and we had a refund, then we wanted a particular paint mixed and she again was so very happy to help and we now have a really lovely colour on our walls thanks to liz for all her help.

We had our appointment with Becky Carter today at the Havant Showroom. Becky had designed our kitchen so perfectly, she was really helpful with the finishing touches that we all suggested together from sinks to the different tap option we originally went for. She made us feel really relaxed with the whole experience. Thank you Becky.

10/10 we visited the Havant branch and had Becky design us a kitchen we are in love with it and she couldn’t of been more helpful definitely recommend Becky at the Havant branch

Superb fast service as I was in a hurry young man saw the queue and opened the till and called me across superb !

Painted my backroom with paint I brought a while ago and hoped to get the same colour with minimal info. Liz was fantastic and very patient. We searched the system and finally located the exact colour. Thank you Liz you are a star.

Bailey Field couldn't have been more helpful with my bathroom purchases.He explained everything clearly and took the time to check double check sizing.He is an asset to the company. Thanks

We contacted our local store hoping that they would support the project we are working on in the Student Support Centre. We really needed an outside tool storage unit and they were very happy to help.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially two gents, one (sorry I didn’t get his name) who directed me to the carbon monoxide detectors and put me in touch with Alan.

Alan assisted me greatly with my enquiry about shower mixer taps and showing me the tech specs on the Wilkes website.

Professional and knowledgeable, and kind enough to assist those not in the know.

wow !!! what can I say ….. but Thank You Wickes !! i applied for some help from the community fund on Friday & am receiving the items tomorrow - My Charity Moving on Project Portsmouth will benefit greatly & so will the many households we help in the Portsmouth area.

Westbourne community hall we have had 2 fans donated from the Wickes community project and they have been put to good use at the hall.
Ingrid the store manager was very helpful in assisting and organising the donation which as a charity we are very grateful for.

I reached out to the store manager for support for a local community project on our allotment. We wanted to build some large compost bays to hold the donated level horse manure and were looking for donations of wood and wood preserver.

We were kindly donated several lengths of decking and wood preserver which enabled us to complete the project which is now in use and looks amazing.

All in all it was a great experience and were most great for Ingrid’s support with this community project - thank you 🙏

I'd like to thank Liz at the Havant store today for her advice about paint. I was unsure what I needed and her knowledge gave me the confidence to buy what I needed for my project. Thank you.

We had our bathroom done with Wickes last year. Finance options very good and appealing. However, there were some major flaws in the project that should have been flagged by our designer whilst at the appointments. Instead the installation went ahead and it was only when it was finished that we realised the location of the toliet was wrong, as you couldn't sit comfortably with the radiator being in the way. Also, the shower screen was not the right size and couldn't have a shower without splashing everywhere.
Went back to Wickes to try and fix these problems, but their customer service is far from satisfactory. They said that was the way it was designed and that they were not changing anything.
We have had other issues as well with part of the shower and toilet they supplied and they've barely even replied to us. They sent the parts in the post with no customer interaction and no support, so we had to fit ourselves.
Now we are having issues with the bath leaking to the ground floor and they won't even reply to half our emails.
They were quick to take our money, but now customer satisfaction is not something they are particularly interested in, it feels.
If I could go back, would definitely have gone somewhere else.
Update 03/09/25: Wickes got back to us and asked to know more about the issue in an attempt to fix it, it seemed. We then gave them a call and spoke to someone in customer service who was very helpful. They listened to us and acknowledged that we were right about the issues we were having with regard to the placement of the toilet and the short bath screen, and said they would raise it with the relevant teams to get this fixed. Even though this seemed hopeful, we would soon regret getting our hopes up, as we quickly went to experiencing the same passing around and poor customer service we had experienced before.
Not long after this conversation, we noticed that the silicone seal in our bathtub was beginning to fail, and water was leaking to the downstairs floor. We raised this with Wickes and they said they would contact the fitter that had done our bathroom to get that fixed. A week later, we had heard nothing and hadn't really able to have a shower since. We had visitors coming soon and having no shower was not acceptable. We contacted Wickes again to try and expedite the process but again, they passed us onto a different team that would look into it etc... meanwhile, time was ticking, and another week was almost over with no reply.
I had no other option other that to strip the sealant myself and re-do the silicone, arming myself with as much knowledge I could from the internet. I think I did a good enough job, but the customer service experience was still very poor, and was about to get no better.
After this, Wickes were arguing that, because I had done the silicone myself rather than through them, the warranty on that was now void. It seems they find it perfectly acceptable to be without a shower for nearly 2 weeks waiting for them to find a solution. Utterly unacceptable.
Story doesn't end there I'm afraid. We are still chasing them to try and get the other bits fixed, and they've been passing us from team to team with little to no progress, asking for pictures and telling us they couldn't do anything as we hadn't raised it initially when the bathroom was finished. Of course we did. We have sent them screenshots of us raising the issue but still they are passing us around from one team to another with no resolution in sight.
On the last call we asked to speak to a manager because we were getting absolutely nowhere. If they are not keen to resolve our issues while we are still paying for the bathroom, I can only suspect what it will be like once we're done. The manager was supposed to call us within 72 hours (that time has almost elapsed), but I'm not sure what experience we will get out of it.
In summary, bathroom would be alright if it had been designed correctly, but the customer experience since we signed the contract has been appalling quite frankly.
If I were to start again, I'd stay well away and go with a company that actually cares about the level of satisfaction of their customers.

I was returning kiln-dried sand (originally bought far too much) and in exchange buying hi-grade compost. The staff unloaded the heavy bags of sand (I have a badly torn shoulder tendon...), then effected the refund, then loaded my car with the compost... and whilst chatting (about the old steam train that used to run from Havant across the water to Hayling Island) told me about a local film club showing footage next Saturday about that very (now long-gone) steam train, and I bagged the last 2 tickets! OK, a bit niche there, but they have allways been kind and courteous and knowledgable.

Needed tin of paint 510 Sunbeam. Not on shelf but I asked the man on the checkout (sorry I don't have his name) and he said delivery not arrived but he then double checked for me and there was one in stock which hadn't yet been put in the shelf so he got it for me. He went the extra mile. This was at 18.30 24/07/25

We had terrible difficulty dealing with Customer Service, i spent a long time on the phone resulting in nothing!! So we decided to ask WICKES HAVANT to help us? Within two days our problems were sorted out, between Gary, Duty Manager, Adam Johnson and a young lady called Jo jo, we were able to make positive headway!!! I cannot thank Wickes Havant enough, nothing was too much trouble for them, Jo jo even took the time to help me to send photos of our “damaged units “ on my iphone, to Customer Service!! She went beyond being helpful, I was almost in tears, so grateful for the staff helping us. I am a pensioner,so often technology gets the better of me. Wickes Havant is my absolute favourite store, 5*****
