Import costs excessive
W Hamond deserve a high score for service but overseas clients need to be aware of the excessively high import duties in some countries.
It has just cost me AUD550.00 in import handling including duties, GST, EEPC and admin charge. This is on an approximate AUD2,500.00 purchase.
This is out of hand with no option but to pay. I don't object to the GST but the duties and admin charges are beyond excessive. I am a long standing customer but won't be buying anymore, it's getting too costly for what it is.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re sorry to hear about the unexpected import costs associated with your recent order.
We completely understand how frustrating it can be to receive additional charges on delivery, particularly when they are higher than expected. While these charges are set by the relevant authorities and delivery providers in the destination country and are unfortunately outside of our control, we do appreciate how disappointing this can be.
As a long-standing customer, we truly value your support and would love the opportunity to discuss this with you personally. We have reached out to you directly by email, so please check your inbox when you have a moment. We hope to find a way to assist and reassure you.
Thank you again for your continued support over the years, it genuinely means a great deal to us.

Great ordered a Gucci bracelet far cheaper than anywhere else
Arrived next day
It was not in a Gucci box as I thought it would be so I spoke to a lady in customer service (very nice and helpful) who explained it should have been and the store it was dispatched from must not have had any and she would send me one
This also arrived next day

If you are looking for beautiful jet jewelry- this is the place.
Mark was a wonderful help in choosing some Jet jewelry for both myself and a gift for my granddaughter. What a lovely man! He made us feel welcomed and not rushed, and explained not only about jet but about some of the other offerings in the shop.

Mark in your York shop made our experience very enjoyable. He was warm, friendly and very helpful. I have a very sentimental love of jet, as it reminds me of a story my beloved grandfather told me as a child, about monkey puzzle trees. Mark told us some beautiful anecdotes about other people he'd served who had stories connected to their jewellery purchases, which made our experience all the more personal. I would not hesitate to visit the shop again when i am next in York.
