I had never done an online escape room before, and was pleasantly surprised! I did one with three other family members of varying ages and it was challenging enough to push us, but still achievable to get the room completed in the allotted time frame. We will definitely do it again.

We enjoyed playing Murder in the Alley, Echoes of the Asylum and Artefact Isle. They do test your way of thinking and nothing is obvious. Because we don't set the time challenge we take our time, relax and collaborate so we each understand what's going on. There have been a few technical glitches but VE have responded quickly and fixed the issue...in this respect we have been happy to wait a day or so before picking up the game again. We like that we can resume the game later without it expiring. Overall a good experience with VE.

This is a very well put together online escape room website! Me and my girlfriend are located pretty far apart. One of our favorite things to do is online escape rooms. We have played every escape room offered here and enjoyed the experience on this website the most compared to the other ones we’ve tried out. We don’t prefer an online host for the escape rooms and this site is entirely computer based and is very easy to form groups of people to participate in the fun. Video call for players involved in the game is also provided. If there is one thing I could ask for on this site, it would be more escape rooms to play! I am hoping to see more escape rooms from Virtual Escaping in the future.

We’ve played three rooms and have enjoyed them all. They are just like in person escape rooms but my mom and I can play together from different states. The puzzles are exactly like what you’d get from in person escape rooms. If you’re not used to doing escape rooms, start with an easy one to learn how the puzzles work. If you jump right into a difficult one, you’ll be very frustrated but that’s not the game’s fault!

My friends and I have been playing the virtual escaping games for 4 years now and love them. They’re a fantastic and engaging game experience.

As far as virtual escape rooms go, Virtual Escaping certainly feels like one of the leaders in the space. And the ability for team members to go out on their own instead of forcing one person to share a screen is an outstanding concept! (5/5). Our group has played Artifact Island (3/5, fun premise, graphics feel a touch outdated), Merlin’s Castle (4/5, complicated story, great graphics, had some bugs), The Saloon (5/5, great experience and puzzles, story was meh), and Murder in the Alley (5/5, fun story line, multiple locations, very immersive). While there is another virtual company I think is better in terms of graphics and stories, Virtual Escaping has the best user experience we’ve played.

We played a few virtual escape rooms and had fun spending time as a family. Although we enjoyed all three rooms (murder in the subway, the school escape, and the asylum), there was definitely a quality difference. I would have to say the murder in the subway was by far the best with game play that required analytical thinking and attention to detail. We managed to complete this room with only 1 hint. The asylum was by far the worst. It was next to impossible to complete and even the hints didn't really help. It was very random and in many ways didn't make sense. It required a lot of simply guessing and had many parts that were just a waste of time. I would still participate in another one of the rooms but I would definitely recommend watching the trailers before choosing.

Honestly this was (Merlin’s Castle) the worst online escape room Weve ever played. I don’t like to leave bad reviews as I know it’s tough out there to run a business but I was honestly shocked at how bad this game was. It was full of inconsistencies and errors it just made it unplayable. Some codes were just made up and visual bugs kept occurring which meant we had to force hack most puzzles or rely completely on the hints.

My family and I love these virtual games. We have done almost all of the games that are offered. Can't wait for more games in the future! Great for family game nights. I also enjoy the challenge of stretching the mind with ciphers and puzzles. I especially love that i can share this experience with my friends and family that are not locally with me.

I mean the idea is just great, but it was the second time last week to struggle with having audio/video working; even though we installed Google Chrome. It is so annoying! Nevertheless, we completed the game but it would have been much nicer to hear and see each other to be able to communicate. This supposed to be a team building activity with working peers...

Virtual Escaping is great quality escape room play compared to other sites. I live away from my family and friends and we schedule a monthly escape room call, it helps us keep the fun alive! We've played all but one room so far and we intend on completing the list soon.

We've played every game and are keen for the next. All of the games were really good... the only one that we found a little lack-lustre was Murder in the Alley (possibly got the name wrong).

Overall, they're a great way to get the family together, even the 10 year old is engaged the whole time!

We bought 3 of these games over a 2 day period stuck in a campervan in the pouring rain. They were all very good - lots of challenges, nothing too obvious or easy and made the time pass very quickly. Would buy more for definite.

My daughter and I have played them all the games are awsome can't wait for the new one to come out .

I'm addicted to Escape Rooms and Escape Games. I find the games from Virtualescaping one of the best. Level not too high but also not too easy. It's amazing how the games differs from eachother. I can easily spent my weekend playing.

These online escape rooms have been amazing stay-at-home date night activities for me and my girlfriend while she's been battling some health issues. The controls are simple and intuitive, the puzzles aren't too easy or too hard (most of the time), and the rooms' themes are immersive. I think the experience is well worth the price.

I play escaperooms virtually with a friend on the other side of the country so we are always looking for something new. Between us we've purchased all the current games and are waiting for a good time to play the newest ones.
Purchasing is easy - you pay, get a voucher via email, send the voucher to your participants and then use the link at the appointed time. Timezones are on you to work out but nothing starts til you're ready so you can relax while people run in the door late.

BEST BITS - range of experience levels, diversity of games, diversity of puzzles in the newer games.

WORST BITS - the 'hints' aren't that intuitive -- they don't recognise your progress, just give you the fixed 'starter' hint for the area meaning you've wasted one of your hint tries. Also... people clearly gaming the leader boards are really annoying. Anyone who can complete one of these in six minutes is clearly throwing their $$ at it to smash through on memory.

Really fun game, done Almost all of them with friends, was really fun! We had 1 minor issue one time but they helped us out really fast , it was a new adventure with a small bug so customer service was great! I always look forward to their new adventures !

Fluid immersive gameplay. The fact that more people on different locations can be in the game is great!! As we are often apart or travelling.

Some of the best online escape rooms out there. I have played many for several companies and Virtual escaping has some of the best graphic ones. The Saloon and Artifact Isle are my favorites I think. Good graphic, tricky puzzles. Well spent money for an evening online with friends. I definitely recommend that everyone uses a computer each:)
