Disappointing waste of £175
Order 34684 Return
Really disappointing (no pun intended).
Have used Urban Rock a number of times for gear with no issues. Good prices and delivery.
This time I bought a pair of Petzl Dart Crampons. They arrived but are not a good fit for my boots. I took them to a specialist retailer but they concluded that the front bail was the wrong shape for what is a fairly standard winter boot (La Sportiva Nepal Cube). The symmetry seems off as well with the front point coming out at an angle with the front frame when fitted. Luckily Urban Rock offers a no quibble return service....
I packed them up (loose in the Petzl box) as I had received them and posted them back. Got an email from Urban Rock today with a photo of a scratch on one of the heel points, refusing the return (no quibbles) but kindly not charging me for the return postage.
So I'll take the £175 hit Urban Rock although the crampons had clearly not been used but more likely had been damaged in transit by clattering around loose in a box.

Thanks for your review.
We have compared the crampons you returned with other Darts we have in stock here and all the other pairs have no scratches whatsoever having come from Petzl in France.
There is scratching on the points and around the toe bails. Whilst this scratching will not affect the performance of the crampons in any way they are no longer in a new condition and we are unable to send them out to another customer as a new product.
We have no quibble returns when products are sent back to us in a brand new condition which the customer received them. Unfortunately these crampons are not in an as new condition.

Overall my experience of Urban Rock was poor.
Overall my experience of Urban Rock was poor.
Despite my shoe size being shown as available I was contacted after purchase to inform me that size wasn't available and I was offered to try the size above or below.
When I tried that size and it didn't fit I was informed Urban Rock do not do free returns so I had to pay about £10 to return the shoes that did not fit.
Furthermore I was not notified when my return had been received and I have still not had my refund processed. Overall it was pretty bad experience.

Unfortunately due to a stock discrepancy we had to offer you a size above or bellow what you had ordered which you happily agreed to. The shoes were then delivered to you the following day.
With our low prices we don't offer free returns however a pair of shoes should cost no more than £3-4 to send with Royal Mail.
Your order has been refunded and an email notification was sent.
